What was wrong with Playground Games offering the Apollo IE as a prize for one of the SINGLE PLAYER championships? Why is it instead offered in the TRIAL, which is a multiplayer event?
You see, it’s all very well and good PG adding the IE in Horizon 4, but I want to win it so badly, and the fact that I’m going to have to go on online multiplayer to do so is beyond me.
I’m just worried that I’ll get disconnected during the race, and I’m also worried that by the time Spring season is over, I won’t have completed the Trial event required to unlock the IE!
Had PG instead chosen to offer it as a prize in one of the single player championships instead, I wouldn’t have had to worry about getting disconnected during the race, but no! I’m gonna have to make sure I have a good internet connection and pray to God that I get team mates that will actually feel like helping my team win if I’m going to have any chance whatsoever of getting that Apollo IE!
I mean, why hasn’t PG realised that there might be someone out there who really wants to win the Apollo IE in Horizon 4, but either doesn’t have a good internet connection or their Wi-Fi is down for the duration of the Spring season in Horizon 4? What was their reasoning behind their decision to choose the Trial event to award the Apollo IE in?
It’s not the disconnect you have to worry about, other players like you use your car as a brake. Also the drivatars constantly ram you, they also drive like it’s dry so while you’re losing traction on a wet surface they’re blasting down the road at speed making it impossible to catch them.
In an interview with Japan Microsoft Xbox division, they answered that “we will emphasize the subscription rate to Xbox Live Gold” as a future development of Xbox.
Perhaps this is a goal that Microsoft as a whole has set out.
In other words, they made this choice to bring as many players as possible to Xbox Live Gold. (And Festival Playlist will also be an added system for this purpose)

We tried to try a trial with a convoy, but once the race started the convoy was split up and we can not play in the same session.
For me, S2 at Unbeatable difficulty is just too tough (at S2 I am just Average or Above Avg), not gonna waste mine or anyone else’s time attempting this Trial. If it was about winning the '65 GTO I would be crying a river, but I have no real desire for the Apollo.
Hey man, if you’ve been playing the game since seasons have been implemented you already KNOW the top prizes will be in the trial. It is what it is. I’d argue the seasonal playground stuff is ALOT harder than winning the trial. I’d go further and say 95% of the people in the forum would agree. The trial is a piece of kelp (finding nemo) compared to PVP seasonal games. Get out there and win the prize. Complaining isnt gonna get it gifted to you.
I totally agree. I see no point in driving cars I do not care about, in a competition that is terrible at best, to win a car I couldn’t care less about winning… I guess that this will be the first non 100% season for me.
And to my two friends who have already commented, I am part of the 5% that actually enjoy the PGG. Really. No joke .
For trial Zonda C is best choise another than that i have nothing good say abaout it, people dont know how to drive, AI dont know how to drive, match making is failed 3 times allready, AI ramming all the time etc.
Oh and most annoying thing ever ghost collisions, it’s so nice to take corner when without reason game runs you out of road.
So true, the AI doesn’t know the racing line ! We need the anti-collision system in solo mode too. Maybe the drivatars try to mimic the average player ?
Over in The Crew 2 they have the Huracan Performante for grabs this week.
But only for the best 3000 people worldwide. You have to perform strongly in 8 different events to get it.
In comparison PG is very user-friendly…

I mean balance this ? it’s like a P1 endurance event on Virginia race way on a rainyday.
Either cases : Those cars are not meant for that kind of races !
I just done the trial first time, got a great team (Bar 1 who quit out) and we won all 3 races fairly comfortably… I’m by no means an expert driver on the game, and had a couple of bad offs in the first race but managed to pull a couple of places back from the drivertars pretty easily. I used the LaFerrari S2-989 and had more than enough speed to deal with the DTs,
7 times I’ve attempted this in the last 90 minutes and never came better than 7th, which was 2nd out of my team. I haven’t even seen any of my own team in 1st place in all those races. Someone was in 2nd for a short time before going to 5th or 7th (must’ve crashed), but that was it! This is not designed to be won by mere mortals and that sucks!
How come Drivretards start up front, leaving the humans to try and crash through to the front and in doing so wreck even the slightest chance of their team mates getting out in front?
I’ve completed everything so far in this game 100% so far and sometimes the event have felt near impossible, but I got them in the end. BUT THIS?
Probably gonna be my last season if I don’t get it, but I need ,my life back anyway.
Then BAM! On about 10th attempt, got a mixture of decent team and some abysmal drivretards who ended up in the last four places on the first race and not much better on the other two.
Team won all 3 rounds, so all good now.
But really is luck of the draw.
Used the Porsche 918 with traction control and stability off.
I have done this now 6 times and my team is won 3 of those and 2 of those times i have won all 3 races. Car choise is really important in this one, Centenario and Zonda have been good cars while Senna was terrible in wet.
