Lotus is toight.

Got shunted in race 1, came fourth, played team game and sat behind guy in front.

The circuit, lol, blitzed it. Well suited to that one.

Ty as usual

What is this crazy obsession you have with hairpins? Stop it. You know people don’t brake. You know it. I’m getting hit again and again and again. You put 3 awful tracks in a trial. Come on already, why don’t you get it by now. Why? Going for 3rd try. Can’t get past first track. We keep losing because all they are doing is ramming each other into hairpins. It’s soooo stupid. Than you put that ridiculously stupid Cathedral circuit in. Thanks for wasting my time. AGAIN!!! Worst track design of any Horizon game. The worst.

So this week’s big project was a collab with @ziperrPL . Granted, I did all the vinyl editor work, but he provided the direction of the project by pointing out a livery that he liked (I was like, “Oh, that’s a topographic map, I can totally do that”) and he specified the color scheme, and helped make some adjustments on how the lines fell on one side of the car. So he definitely was involved non-trivially.

So I started with a topographic map. I found a topo map of a section of the Tour of Mont Blanc, which is apparently a super famous hiking route. I mostly just needed a topo map to mimic. That got me this:

Share code: 147675098

Then I put it on ALL sections of the car, and oriented it to line up with itself as best I could. After that, manual adjustments were made to smooth transitions, etc. At one point in the color scheme discussions Zip sent me a pirate map as a color reference, and that gave me the idea to incorporate a compass rose.

That’s actually a great example of a starter project. Low layer count, basic shapes, and lots of copy and paste with some rotations.

Anyway, we ended up coming out with this:

That’s the 1995 Porsche 911 GT2
Share code: 139150947

I also came up with one for the Lotus that @CashlessPlains8 tuned for the trial this week:

Share code: 934402279

And lastly I began one for the Ferrari F50:

Share code: 108322442

The Ferrari is white one white in part because I thought it looked cool, and in part because I didn’t have time to clean all the lines up to my liking so less contrast was my friend.

I use “I’m on your team” A LOT. Today for the first time ever I got “Sorry” as a reply. Which is unusual enough to post about it. But then he rammed me again next chance he got.

So, no idea what to take away from this.

Thank you! I got in basically the same situation, beat around in the first race (started 12th) then started 11th in the 2nd race but ran away! We had a Land Rover Defender apparently playing Wreckfest. :woman_shrugging:

A big compliments to the author of the eventlab Cairo circuit, in my opinion up to now the best creation in the event lab section. It seems a professional one, very very good, try it.

3rd place in the first race, 1st place in the second race (10 seconds to the next human, 15+ to the next Drivatar). That Lotus rocked. It couldn’t shine as much with the rock’em sock’em stuff, but the plaza circuit really let the handling shine. And I looked darn good, doing it. I’d say it’s the King of the track, only because the Q monarch word gets filtered by the xbox file system…

Predictable 1st corner chaos on Panoramica but not too bad other than that, feels like I was rather fortunate with the teammates I got relative to what I expected.

The 355 was amazingly the only eligible car I already had a tune for road installed on so I went for it (Mars’ tune), not a world beater but I have had it since 2021 and it hasn’t let me down once in all that time, really steady and reliable 7-8 out of 10 pace car.

Unrelated but I’ll ask here anyway:

Am I the only one who keeps getting multiple repeat pop ups of the new achievement every time I play? Usually they are minutes apart but today they appear in pairs, meaning there are still minutes between but then I get two back to back.

Nobody has replied to my thread in the bug forum. Not that I expected anything, but still…

Piñata Helmets

Starting from the Launch Control Danger Sign, follow the road north to the Festival Speed Zone and keep going through the Giro Encorvado Drift Zone. More than 10 along that path.

Glad to hear it worked well for you! Thanks for giving it a try! :slightly_smiling_face:

Just had a “one is not like the other” moment in the Trial. Everyone in their high end exotics and me in mk3 Golf. I was really out of place :upside_down_face:
Also using FWD wasn’t best option for me. “Only” 427hp@1057kg with widest (255 IIRC) race slicks and I still wasn’t able to put down power comfortably :frowning:

Now is the time to use 911 GT2 with Bravosteelviper’s livery. Thank you one more time

You’re welcome! Hey, if you come up with a tune for the GT2 that you like, please share it. I should have thought of that before! Tune + livery combo.

I took the GT2 through the trial, and got 1st and 1st.
I used the left most A rank tune when I searched, share code:
130151315

The GT2 was definitely a lot slower than the Elise on the Plaza circuit.

Had a pair of #1 Toyota trucks in my second run, and I feared they meant to be disruptive like Cashless’s Land Rover, but they hung in and were ahead of most of the drivatars.

Anyone getting pushed FORWARD while rewinding at the Rally DLC Danger Sign?

No, I’m not joking.

And the bots in the championship keep driving while paused.

How many people do not even plan on unlocking the Nio?

Gonna be a hard pass for me… unless I need more AH funds.

Anyone wants to make Golf mk3 Trial tune for me? Neither of my attempts were good to drive.
Requirements? NO aero, Rally tires or better, racing weight reduction, “steel rims” look wheels. I leave the rest open.
