Here are the details on this week’s events and rewards. Share tips along with your tuning setup codes, and provide feedback with the polls in post #2.

SUMMER | WET SEASON

The season starts at 7:30am Pacific on April 27th and ends Thursday, May 4, 2023 2:30 PM
This is the first season of High Peformance (Series 20).

PLAYLIST POINTS

Points are accumulated across all four seasons. Each event in the Festival Playlist has a number of points to earn noted in the bottom left corner of the event tile. Accumulate points with any combination of completed events to earn the first reward car, and continue earning points from remaining events to earn the second reward car. Cars noted as Seasonal Exclusive are not available in the Autoshow, so grab them while you can! But don’t worry if you miss them, these cars may come back again for future Festival Playlists.

SEASON EVENT DETAILS

Toggle the menu to show the rewards and restrictions for each event - if you complete the event in a car outside the restrictions or fail to meet the target, you won’t get the reward and points from completion. You must have unlocked the Hall of Fame with Accolade points to enter the Trial. Access to Rally Adventure events require defeating the three team champions. Access to Hot Wheels events requires the Hot Wheels Expansion DLC; users without the DLC will still be able to gold the season and unlock the “Min, Meet Max” Achievement without these event points.

Festival Playlist Tunes Apr 27th - May 4th (Summer S20)

Hey there to all you Throttle Jockeys! It’s Thursday and it’s a new series! Welcome to Series 20 “High Performance”. It’s a new season with a bunch of cool new rewards and cars to be won. The tunes below have been tested against unbeatable drivatars and will help you get quickly through this week’s challenges in 1st place! We kick things off with an excellent trial tune. I’m also excited about the Corvette seasonal. I also redid my Hoonigan RS200 tune for this week. As always I want to thank all of you in advance for your downloads and likes. I welcome and encourage all feedback to help make these tunes better for you. Good luck this week and happy racing!

You’ve probably never driven this car. This is an AWD build with no Aero. I went with the Scirocco for the extra HP to get through these sprints. I’m actually surprised at how good this car is. It’s got good power and handling and it ran top 1% rival times at all 3 trial races that are listed below. I also benchmarked this setup against unbeatable drivatars and took first in all 3 races. Couldn’t reach the Trial bot who was in first place both races but overall it seems to have found a good balance between brutally hard and far too easy this week.

Not sure what to make of the AI, 1st race 2 of us had passed them all before the first proper corner but they briefly offered something resembling difficulty on Volcan, they’re still swerving all over like they’re blind drunk though.

Ok’ish team aside from the Clio continually getting in my way for the first third of Volcan, the Fiesta guy wouldn’t have finished either race if they’d had 60 seconds countdown though.

12 different color schemes, but they all feature the brand new cobra vinyl group. Not the Shelby one… just a scary/cool looking one. I probably won’t keep all of these around, so if you like one, vote with your downloads and likes. Unpopular ones will likely end up scrapped to make room for other liveries down the road.

I only did one other livery for the week. This one was inspired by a combination of @SpirantCrayon22 and @ziperrPL . ziperrPL made an offhand comment recently about putting a Ferrari sticker on his Lambo Sesto, and whether that counted as a Ferrari. And I immediately thought… “it’s probably a Mustang…”

So I came up with a “This is a Mustang” livery for the Ferrari LaFerrari (see Cashless’s post for a tune). It’s got the classic blue “ralley stripes” and has the Shelby cobra logo. Pretty niche, but I found it humorous, so there you go:

That R bug was driving me crazy yesterday. If you wait to hit the throttle until the actual start of the race. It seems to stop it from going into reverse. If you have the throttle pinned while the race is gridding up it would go into reverse every time. Or I would get the delayed shift from 1st to 2nd.

Nice VW tune this week! I have done two Trials so far and both times we had a runaway AI in the 2nd race nobody could catch. Haven’t seen the 3rd race yet!

Quick update on the week.

Shoutout to Kevin (not his full username), but not all heroes wear capes. Kevin saved the trial with outstanding teamwork. I won’t call out some of the terrible… ramming… missing that whole chicane in copper canyon “teammates” by name. One of them dropped toward the end of the second race when things looked grim, but mad props to kevin and the teammates that helped pull it off! Great tune by Cashless… definitely needed “a little help from my friends” though with 2-3 players sitting at the back of the pack (after having wreaked havoc at the beginning).

Also, I managed to PR the speed trap with @CashlessPlains8 's Atom tune while doing the tasks for the weekly (you need to get 6 stars at speed traps anyway). So definitely check out that tune when you’re doing the weekly.

One trial in and it’s not going so well…
Not a bad time at Copper considering getting roughed up at the start. Team still lost though. Round 2 was even worse. Was taken out between the first right hander and left hander. There was a break away Mini drivatar. Race two was another loss for the team and we went 0-2. First time that has ever happened.
