MONTHLY RIVALS
The total point value of Monthly events are divided by four when applied to individual seasons; completing all four events will apply up to 4 points applied to each season in this series. Post a clean lap to complete Rivals events. Cars are stock and provided as free rentals for the event. This month’s Rivals offer an opportunity to drive the Durango, Camry, and Fiesta before they’re available to collect.
That’s true but it’s a shame that the S1 class requirement rather than just any class throws the doubling up out otherwise 1 tune would have done it all
I will likely still use your TTS for the zone stunt because I couldn’t quite hit 94 MPH on my test runs in the TT RS whereas the TTS gave no problems
I used your Aston DB11 (104 278 985) and maxed it out at 240.09 MPH with a longer run but found it a bit harder to use on the RA stunt but I’ve always had issue with that one so it might not have been the car
I wouldn’t be surprised to see one of the new routes in the Trial but not sure why they wouldn’t put it as the 1st race.
Tested my Trial tunes on Sierra Verde but it would have been nice to do the testing on one of the new routes to get to know it better.
Not looking forward to that first hard braking zone and corner on Sierra Verde. I used drag tires for most of my Trial tunes so hopefully I can get through that corner before the corner bombers arrive but probably not since I’ll likely start in my usual last place on the grid.
Just run the new routes in Rivals to learn them I suppose.
I can never remember tracks anyway so it makes no odds to me. I just run them in the trial and see what idiots turn up ramming and hope I can get through the bedlam without losing too many places.
I’ll take your word for it. As I say, can never remember a track these days.
The only track I ever knew corner by corner was The Goliath in FH3. Nailed 1st in the top tier every time I drove it. Did spend a ridiculous amount of time running that route though when I still had a few brain cells left…
Yeah - FH3 was, and still is, my favourite of all the incarnations of the game series.
Any 90 degree or hairpin always results in carnage in trials these days when you’re dealing with rammers or those that don’t realise it’s a team effort.
I had high hopes for FH4 - being set in my home country - but it still felt like that’s when things started to slip. Scenery was amazing, particulary the realism of Edinburgh, but I haven’t driven many of the other areas IRL so no idea how close they were to the actual places. I wasn’t too hooked on FH2 and didn’t do much in FH1 - maybe I need to revisit that again.
One good thing about the new ones is they should make for good Trial courses, by the time the first tight corners appear all the humans are likely to have separated, possibly may have been factored in while designing them.
Compare that to the previous 4 that were added, all have pretty much full throttle openings into hard on the brakes for a 90 degree corner, well apart from Vista which goes even worse and has an acute angle as it’s first proper corner.
Fortunately I got every human on launch and was well in front at the 1st corner, where for some reason the lead AI didn’t bother turning, just carried on straight into the barrier so I was 1st at the exit of it.
Unsurprisingly the Kia isn’t great compared to almost every other eligible car but for an EV weighing 5049lbs on drag tires? Very good, couldn’t have asked much more from it, my own tune but not worth sharing.
The new Focus is eligible for this Trial but if you want AWD on it then again it’s drag tires only to get it to B class, hopefully someone finds a use for it but for me it’s overrated PI wise and it has just the 1.6L Rally engine available to swap in so pretty limited build options, a poor and quite frankly useless addition in my opinion.
