I hated the event lab. But I do wish either the track builder or the developers would share what drugs they were on when picking up on this. I’d sure give them a try!

Haha that event was terrible! The idea isnt bad but the props have zero to no grip, I wasnt interested in carefully sliding around those turns.
Anybody got an idea what’s up with the Speed Trap ?
My tune can hit the required (in fact it does) but there’s like an artificial limiter just before the trap that is keeping me below, then as soon as I hit the trap the game applies the brakes (just a tap, with smoke) then the speed immediately jumps about 15kph to well over the required, but of course it doesn’t count because the trap has already recorded the lower speed.
EDIT : Finally got it but still have no idea what was going on before. One of lifes little mysteries I guess. Or just the spirit of Horizon lol.
I actually just realised AR12 Nick made the eventlab. It’s still crap.
Can just hear his voice now shouting…
“Welcome Back To ForTza Horizon 5… with my ridiculous and crazy rainbow hot wheels inspired track…”
I’ve never liked using rewind, but I think I broke the button today.
Finally like others did, I left the AI race away, and fall dramatically to the hillside, then drove onwards. Surely this isn’t what gaming in 2022 has come to?
If anything it makes it even worse, that’s someone who lots of people out there probably have as their go-to guy for FH and think knows the game inside out.
Thinking about it I actually hope it wasn’t play-tested before it was given a spot in the playlist, otherwise that means someone at PG played this…thing and then reported back with ‘Yes this is something I think our player base will really enjoy and have a lot of fun with, give it a slot in one of the playlists!’

To be fair in his latest video he did say he has no idea why they choose it for the eventlab.
I’d bet my fortune it was because it was first result in the search string “rainbow”… and that was all the thought and effort that went into selecting it.

I completed Event Lab with no rewinds on my 2nd attempt, but it was scary. First attempt Ai knocked me off track.
Yes I needed some rewinds but not that many I feel we have seen worse the last couple of weeks. Make sure you pass a bunch early then go easy in the throttle in order not to fly of the track and you’ll get there. Well that’s how my run went.

Would have been nice to know from the game menu that it was one specific year of Audi R8 V10 Plus instead of the one I wasted a bunch of time with but then I guess it’s my fault for being surprised by the incompetency of this dev team.
There is only one R8 V10 Plus.
Evanlab was easy and I even had offroad tune. Yes, I would change couple of things in it but staying on track isn’t as difficult as some claim. Hint: don’t slow down (apart from first corner and that weird transition from brown to blue which I would change.

The calibre of players that do the Trial really infuriate me at times. Team won first attempt at Trial but not without idiots going full speed into corners T boning others. I won first race but had 2 players who simply enjoyed T boning that i couldn’t get past the car pile ups so came 8th in the second race. In the next Trial i won 1st and 2nd race and for whatever reason near the end of the third race, a player i was overtaking for first on the dirt stretch pushed (and i mean deliberately pushed) me off to the right, which resulted in me being behind the concrete barrier. I quit there and then. I recorded who it was so i can put it up on my feed. Thankfully i can name and shame to my hearts desire there. Seriously some players are below contempt.
I found that if i stopped before going up and waited for all the AI to drop off the track then it made it quite easy to complete the Eventlab.
well, I’m not going to be as hard on the EventLab race as others
it needs polish, obviously, but it was fun trying to get round the course without falling off - I did manage that on the 3rd lap, unlike the AI, they all got lapped twice
and it’s the nearest to a bad EventLab we’ve had, I liked all the others
so there ner!

That is incorrect. There is a 2013, the one I used.
Everyone rage quit at the first attempt at the first race at the trial, lol. I nearly won the 2nd race on my own but lost out by a narrow margin.
2nd effort at the trial was cut short by a disconnect.
3rd attempt, 1st proper attempt, won in two races, despite having to start at the back and having to battle a self destructive glory hunter in the first race.
Some minor struggles with my rear wheel drive German rally championship Opel but got through it. Everything else was easy.
That NickAR fellow made that eventlab back in January. Seemed embarrassed about it in a vid he did today. It didn’t bother me really.
