So many 2010’s cars to tune!! I’ve been working on them since Saturday and feel like I’ve hardly put a dent in them.
I think I’m just going to go with what I have and move on to classic rally and retro saloons.

Well I’m really bummed out. The trial this week is dirt. Tracks are as follows.

Tulum Trail
Baljio Trail
Tapalpa Trail

Reason why I’m so bummed is I worked on something this weekend to unleash on the trial that was going to be extremely different. I tuned a Jeep Wrangler for road racing and it rips!..lol it was also a very difficult tune as that car has a high CG and short wheelbase. It’s fun to drive though and I was dominating open lobbies with it on Sunday. It’s obviously not going to work now for this weeks trial but will share it if any of you guys want to play around with it.

Only increases the chances of running into BS’s + it’s dominance as well being on Dirt + Trails.

Just gone back to all them Gauntlet tests I did when we did it in the Rivals group and my quickest 2010’s car was 18 seconds slower than my final time (in the DeLorean) and a full 27 seconds behind another auto user (anon) in a BS.

The quickest final time from someone in the group that used a non BS car that’s eligible for this Trial was PABO in the Caterham, an excellent driver and even he was 31 seconds off the fastest time in the group (Aleriooon in a BS).

Had a quick look on Tulum’s board and there is a '17 Raptor, X5, Exocet and 2 X-Class’s in the top 100.

Sounds promising until you factor in that there are 11 BS times above all of them.

Bajio is even worse, 3 X Class’s (looks like that is comfortably the fastest alternative at least on the first 2 tracks) and 1 Caterham vs 16 BS’s, no other 2010’s cars there.

OMG!! I’ve spent several days tuning 2010’s cars for road racing. This is a complete disaster. :disappointed:

Since we are still technically in this weeks playlist a weird thing happened when playing the trial. I ran the trial now about 10 times and out of 10 I think 8 times it completed with blue team winning after the bolo ocho circuit. Twice now including just this morning and couple of days ago we were all fast travelled to plaza circuit where it completed. Anyone else had this happen?
Edit: I should clarify. On two occasions the trial ran for 3 races with with plaza being the last.

With that track selection there will be no match for the Bone Shaker.
Really curious if half of the lobbies will consist of it.

Yeah it’s going to be a boneshacker spec race unfortunately….

That car is why I’ve generally avoided A class in general.

can’t wait for Boneshaker drivers to roadblock since they don’t know how to corner even after 1 1/2 years.

Depends on the lobbies and most of the people using Boneshakers are slow anyway, so by taking any good car you will mop the floor with them.

Well you couldn’t write this  , after that absolute mess further up this thread I go to start testing some cars out for the Trial, starting out with the Ford Ute on Tulum as the very first car and this is it’s result…

Going to test the few cars/tunes I already have in my garage for now, on both Tulum + Bajio and only giving them a single run each.

I’m starting to come around to this dirt Trial after looking at the 2010’s A800 dirt tunes I have. Disaster averted!!:upside_down_face:

Didn’t take long as I only have 6 cars that are both eligible + I thought I’d enjoy driving.

Tulum Trail

Caterham R500 (Zip) - 2:32.619 (2:31.068 + #51 on the board after a few extra attempts)
Ariel Nomad (Kapien) - 2:34.079
Cadillac ATS-V (Xoroxronis) - 2:34.488
Forsberg SafariZ (Kapien) - 2:34.621
Ford Ute (HLundh) - 2:37.808
Subaru WRX '11 (own tune) - 2:38.751

Bajio

Caterham - 2:45.082 (2:42.546 + #74 after another couple of extra go’s)
SafariZ - 2:45.499
Nomad - 2:45.574
ATS-V - 2:45.941
WRX '11 - 2:47.243
Ford Ute - 2:52.339 (already up there before I started this)

Total Time Over Both

Caterham - 5:17.701/5:13.614
Nomad - 5:19.653
SafariZ - 5:20.120
ATS-V - 5:20.429
WRX '11 - 5:25.995
Ute - 5:30.147

Extra note just to illustrate further how even more strong the BS is in this restriction…

There is still 3 of them above me on Tulum including an auto one, 8 on Bajio again including one auto user, and I am sure many of those up there in Daytonas/Jeeps/8CTF’s etc would comfortably go quicker than my Caterham in a BS.

I have the above Caterham Manchester City livery. I also have a Gulf one, but I don’t have the share code handy.

I’ve been working on the Caterham and my one issue with it is that it’s so lite that I find the bumps and such can kind of throw it off course if I’m not careful.
I think I need to make some adjustments to the suspension but not sure if it will make much difference.
