The Trial reward this week is the Ford Fiesta XR2 1981, the #24 Ferrari was last week’s reward

Comfortable Trial, was lucky to get probably the best team I’ve had so far in the game and had a good duel with another driver over the 2 races where we both drove very well, the RS200 is a very nice car to drive stock.

So tired of smashing full on into the rear of drivatars though, it’s like they get in your way on purpose going such a snail’s pace that you can’t avoid them.

My first attempt was ruined by two drivatars crashing into each other that pushed me onto a tree and flipping me onto my roof.

Cursed day though as my second was ended by the phone ringing as I was about to take the lead on the second race.

Yep, experienced a lot of that as well. We had a decent team so won after two, but I was a bit confused by the fact that a teammate clearly missed a checkpoint flag but continued in the race, actually trying to push me out of position. Did I miss something here?? (Video below)

The trial was a mess! Lots of oversteer from that car and couple that with people who wanna win at all costs, lots of corner bombing teammates!

Same. First try looked like a good start until a team mate seemed to very deliberately push me out of a checkpoint. Popped in menu for a quick “watch out” and noticed that suddenly EVERYONE was gone except for me and a different team mate and two AI’s… wth ? All this at the first real turn :man_shrugging: Second try again looked good, and further in, commanding lead for team human, everyone racing well… checkpoint missed ? WHAT checkpoint ! There was NO checkpoint at that point of the race and I hadn’t missed any before that. I quit. Maybe I’ll try again but honestly, utter garbage.

EDIT… oh, and the AI, driving stock, I think not, again

All of the PR stunts this week can be done with a stock Mercedes Hammer Coupé. I was just driving one anyway, coming out of the Playground Games, and I didn’t want to change cars.

Refreshing to see an actual Drag Strip Championship on the playlist.

Sorry, didn’t mean to praise. I shall go smack myself with sticks. :evergreen_tree:

Always nice to be able mix other challenges with weekly. Even if it’s only a little.

No feedback on this?? This is not meant to call anyone out from the race; I’m genuinely curious to know if I missed something

I saw the run out around the check point. But as for trying to push you out, it just looked like “rubbin’ is racin”. Just my take on the video.

I’ve seen AI go around check points unimpeded. And the AI in this series definitely has NO2. If PGG is going to give the AI NO2 they should give it to us too!

Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) has zero effect on engine performance.

Laughing gas aka NOS aka nitrous oxide (N2O) however does affect engine performance.

Getting technical on me now!:sweat_smile::rofl::sweat_smile:

Right! I stand chemically corrected.

This was not AI, it was a live player/team mate. And for sure it was no more than “rubbins racin’” in the finest Earnhardt fashion, my point to that comment about being pushed was because they were still THERE after missing the checkpoint
I was waiting for them to vanish back to the missed checkpoint but that never happened, hence my question.

To a couple of Trial teams I was in shortly after the season started I apologize. I forgot I had sim steering on and the bars were set poorly. I quit them but probably not before getting in the way I’m sure.

The car was much better after reverting back to the stock tune.

You should’ve known difference between NO2 and N2O. Of course that does require that you went to school. Roughly 7th/8th grade stuff.

I don’t think the hit was intentional. It looked like they were trying to set up a big drift for the corner. They may not have known you were there. Just my opinion though.

Things don’t always look the same on the other players screen. They may have tagged the checkpoint flag clearly when they saw it. Did you ask them via message?

Again, it wasn’t about the player. I guess I should have left the part about the push completely out of the OP as that really wasn’t a concern; it was just to point out the fact that they completely missed the checkpoint flag, but remained in position. With all the previous talk of odd things that occur during these races, I was just curious to know if anyone had seen that before, as I hadn’t. I can say that I’ve missed many a checkpoint flag & I either hit rewind or get placed back by the system.
Maybe it was close enough that it triggered but didn’t look that way as you can see.
