So…I’ve been wondering what in the world just happened to the 2002 Ferrari Enzo’s sound? Prior to Update 8 it sounded just fine, now it sounds like that annoying copy-paste generic modern V12 Ferrari soundfile which exists in the LaFerrari, 812 Superfast, F12 TDF, FXXK Evo, FXXK…and so on. The 2002 Ferrari Enzo is notorious for its 6.0L Naturally-Aspirated V12 which sounds like an angry horse…way distinguished, way different compared to the modern 6.3L F140 V12…
let me demonstrate how it currently sounds, how it sounded back in Forza Motorsport 5 (10 years ago), and how it sounded before the recent update for reference.
Watch these two links to see how it currently sounds in FM’23, and how good it sounded back in Forza Motorsport 5 (2013) for reference.

I hope you update this mistake or at least make it sound as good as it did on Forza Motorsport 5…where it had more depth and accuracy to the sound.
The previous update really, really messed up the V12 Ferrari sounds. On launch, I remember admiring and praising the V12 sounds on the Ferraris, both modern and old school.
But they ruined it. It’s a copy/paste job and now they all sound generic. Did they do this to save space? Dreadful idea. Each day, my interest in the game diminishes. Barely play it now

Its mind boggling to me that they even thought of changing the Enzo’s sound, already sounded decent like an Enzo Ferrari, it only needed slight improvements, why get rid of the decent sound and replace it with this garbage copy-paste modern V12 Ferrari sound?! That’s not even how an Enzo Ferrari sounds like

I hope they will restore all V12 Ferrari sounds to Day One. Those were vastly better and each car had a unique trait to it’s sound.
Please make it happen already @JetPartySalad
Even GT7 nailed the Enzo’s sound. FM did too at launch but Idk why Turn 10 will downgrade its sound later on in Update 8, did they find its actual sound “wrong” and puts a LaFerrari sound on it? What are their braincells up to? Are they taking drugs? Did they think that it has a modern Ferrari V12 on it? NOOOOOO it doesn’t make sense at all!!!
Okay, people. Enjoy the show of the Enzo Ferrari in GT7.

That dreaded update where they slashed the game’s file size to around 130gb is when we lost all the good Ferrari V12 sounds from launch/day one. What a terrible move.

@T10ManteoMax
Is there any update regarding this car? I really hope that the devs look into it.

Oh dear me, yes, this needs to be revisited one way or another.
FYI, ALL the V12 Ferraris were beautiful sounding on launch day. Then the 812 Superfast update came, giving every V12 Ferrari road car and hyper car the wrong sound. And the game size shrinked by more than 10GB I think.
We absolutely need those Day One sounds back, I don’t care how bloated the game gets as a result. Fix the 812 only and leave the others alone please (day one sounds were perfect for those).

To this day I can’t comprehend what were they thinking when they did this lol
Most likely in a bid to reduce the total file size, decided to axe the samples for the V12 Ferraris. Hugely bad decision IMO as it allowed them to slash the size by just over 10GB which is peanuts.
Most games today average well over 100gb and close to or exceed 200gb. That is normal IMO and people need to be prepared to have backup storage rather than ALL players having to live with dumbed down sounds or other quality sacrifices.
I wish that decision to reduce the game file size would never have been taken… We’d still have those beautiful V12 Sounds from day one (not the 812 that was wrong from the beginning and still is).
What difference does it make really? Ultimately the game might easily soar over 200gb with all the additional features, cars, and tracks, and especially QoL improvements.
People need to wake up and realize we are no longer in the Xbox One era. This is Series X so a game size between 100 and 200gb or higher is perfectly normal.
I just rotate games off to my external HDD when I’m not playing them. And paste them back onto my SSD when I want to play. Simple, practical and cost effective solution

So now, they updated Enzo’s soundfile. And looks like they changed it back to how it sounded when the game first released, correct?
I think whoever changed its audio to a LaFerrari, got fired out of Turn 10’s studio. LOL

Thankfully, the Enzo now sounds like an “Enzo” although I haven’t tested it yet, cockpit audio sounds lacking but will know for sure once I test it out on my sound system.
Unfortunately, they still have that goofy “wrong LaFerrari” sound for all the other modern V12 hypercars.
