Ferrari LaFerrari 2013 - Car audio (1750253)

The LaFerrari sounds too generic. It seems that the V12 notes for Ferraris got mixed up in one of the updates and now they all sound alike: 812, LaF, FXX-K, FXX-K Evo, F12tdf, etc

Please give this car the correct, real-world sound.

Also, this car should not have judders or hiccups during shifts, it has a dual-clutch flappy paddle gearbox.

The updated 812 sound has been applied to the LaFerrari. May I ask why? It does not “howl” or murmur but “scream”, especially at higher revs. It’s a quiet and suppressed sound now post update. Completely wrong.

Either restore the previous sound, which sounded closer to the actual LaFerrari or do an overhaul please.

Yes that is not the correct sound. I can vouch from personal experience. It has a shrill, high pitched scream as you’re about to redline and the exhaust scream or wail whatever you want to call it, can be heard for many blocks.

Exhaust and motor sound are both wrong. Hopefully, it should be fixed. I want to buy the game but some of the sounds seem very wrong or “improvised” for lack of a better term.

Okay guys, so I pulled up this clip from YouTube to show everyone how the LaFerrari sounded when I tried Forza Motorsport six months back on the Gamepass.

The acceleration, deceleration, coasting, downshifts, exhaust reverb etc. all sound fairly close to the actual LaFerrari, even if it’s not entirely accurate. Captured the character of the car well.

Perhaps the developers will see this and revert to the sound from 6 months ago. It’s far better than the current sound in my opinion. I’ve sat in it many times and heard it wailing away in the distance. The original or “day one” sound is definitely closer to the real LaFerrari.

Hoping the team will see this. Thanks for reading.

Agreed. It needs updating. It screams very loudly in RL and even inside the cabin you can hear as well as feel that motor/exhaust system vibrate right through you. Frightening yet one of the most exhilarating experiences you can imagine.

Thank you, I hope the developers are reading this. At least the day one sound was far better and more accurate than what we have now.

This in my opinion is a very well done sound of the LaFerrari in a game.

Real video for reference:

Pretty much spot on, I’d say.

@JetPartySalad

Hauntingly real LaFerrari sound in Assetto Corsa, very small team with a limited budget. Just incredible.

@JetPartySalad Hi Jet Party, sorry to tag you unnecessarily - just bumping this up and hope to see audio improvements in the next update. As mentioned earlier the sound on this car has become tiny, squashed, and faraway - it was great on launch but that got changed for some reason, I do not understand why.

Hoping to see the original sound restored or an improved sound perhaps where the car has proper loudness, impact, reverb, bass, etc. aka. dynamic range, especially in cockpit. Thanks

Plenty of evidence has been provided thus far, when can we expect the actual sound of the LaFerrari to be in the game?

GT7 had the best sounding LaFerrari…

FM’s Ferrari V12s feel “silent”.

That is a good sound, much better than Forza, and look… The active aero works as it should.

PCARS 3 and The Crew have a better LaFerrari sound. Assetto Corsa has a great sound too, although cockpit sound isn’t the best there.

Still no improvement as of update 11 and it uses the “wrong” sound from the 812 which is pasted to all modern V12 Ferraris in the game.

I think all the car sound topics posted, are under larger-audio-initiative

Reported since March - along with all the other wrong-sounding modern V12 Ferrari sounds. When is this getting addressed?

Good update to the car, sounds pretty accurate in all views. However, needs to be louder and kick out more decibels in chase cam. In cockpit cam, it lacks punch and impact. I should be hearing and feeling all the various details due to the engine and exhaust working as you accelerate and then decelerate on the downshifts.

Good job on the downshifts and exhaust crackles. Shifting behaviour is not correct however. It should be shifting gears during acceleration like an automatic (dual clutch flappy paddle gearbox) and not like a kick-in clutch and stick shifter.
