Featured Multiplayer - Mid-Engine Production (A Class) - Share your Builds

This week in Featured Multiplayer the Mid-Engine Series is using A Class builds, here’s the info:

  • Race Length: Medium
  • Build Limit: A/700
  • Car Restriction: Production Cars Only
  • Engine Placement Restriction: Middle
  • Ends: 2024-09-25T23:00:00Z

Feel free to use this thread to share any cars and builds you’ve found to be effective, your best results in races etc.

Some considerations for “finding the most effective tactic available”:

  • Races are about 15 minutes long, and tyre wear is at 6.0x

  • Under these conditions, a car on Race Tyres may have to make a pitstop, even on Hard Tyres.

  • A Street or Sport Tyre build may end up faster over the course of a full race, even if it cannot match a Race Tyre build over a single lap.

  • A very fast Race Tyre build could end up winning races, if it can build enough of a time gap to compensate for the 25-30 seconds lost in a pitstop.

Last week’s B Class series was pretty popular and there was a good thread on here sharing tunes and builds, so i figured I’d replicate it for A:

Wasn’t there also a limitation to the cars having to be European? Or is that another error the picture in the weekly overview?

I will build something tonight and share it here if it performs well.

EDIT: I’ve tried a bunch of builds, but nothing feels right. B-class was more fun for me.

just another error

Thanks PJ. A good thread!

The BMW M1 should still be strong in A class and I’d imagine most of the strong cars last week will be able to step up, but we also have some interesting new options. I’ll try and share a couple of builds as well once I’ve had a look. My upgraded 512TR, on sport tyres, seemed fairly promising from some initial testing last night.

i could but my tunes are more about driving feel than top perfomance, i hate forza aero and big rims XD

Oh well im bored anyway

When you use one of the most broken cars in the entire game of course you don’t need to tune it much :joy:

yeah u are right Xd but that was the only car i had atm, and mk1 gt40 [even more borken car]
and some old tune.

oh theres also this broken thing

The gt40s will be fast but the 911 gt1 is by far the most broken car usable this week hands down it’s like using a exo or chevron it’s just in a different world compared to anything else

If I used a 911 gt1 I’d be getting msgs saying I’m a meta abuser or sweaty for trying it

It’s on my list of cars I refuse to use online

you got me there XD im also meta abuser

Will share a sport tires, no aero KTM later that is pretty good in general and should do well on tracks where sport tires survive.
It does 2:09 on Suzuka and (surprisingly) 2:15 on Road America. Doesn’t like swerving tracks like Maple.

Can you get it to A without ripping the turbo out, since that’s not possible anymore?

Yes. 718 Cayman swap, stock tires and ballast brings it into A.

The lame Porsche gets a engine swap that makes it 360 hp drops the pi like crazy

Is this Legal?

As long as it counts towards production car, yes.
Most likely engine-glitched Rallye engine.

first week of the game when the turbo glitch worked, I never run this car in any hoppers nor rivals, only in private lobbys with friends for fun. Dont worry I wont bring it out but just to joke about on this topic

I can’t imagine it’s any good anyway. Unfortunately, the Rallye engine is terrible and the car makes nearly all of its grip from aero. Thus, tons of drag.
Lime Rock may be the only useful track.

I have a D-Class Lotus Evora with this engine and it’s pretty bad
