Eventlab Secrets: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know by VuKKuu

EventLab has a ton of potential but many players don’t quite understand the mechanics, the tools available to them, or how to “cheat the budget”. It can be scary and overwhelming which is why I’ve decided to provide a detailed explanation of the most problematic and worrisome topics for both new and casual players (along with a 30min) tutorial of the most common questions on YouTube.

The video can be found by clicking “HERE” or by copying the link below into your URL:

I will be adding new Tutorial Videos every week to explain ALL the tips, tricks, and hacks available to you in EventLab 2.0

Here are a few of the most common problems players encounter and some solutions for each:

Question: How do you start an EventLab or Blueprint?
Answer: There are (3) different ways to accomplish this… this is the easiest way (other methods are in the video).

  • Select “start” then navigate to the world map, travel to a circuit or sprint race and enter the race. Then select the “Setup Event” option and finally select “Create Route”.

Question: How do you EDIT an EventLab?
Answer: There are (3) methods, but the two easiest are…

  • Select “start” navigate to the world map and select the race location you were building at, then enter the race and select “solo”, click the yellow “EventLab Creations” poster and then select “start” or “blueprint options” and finally hit the “edit blueprint” button.

  • (If you were working on an eventlab and exited without publishing you can resume by) Selecting “start”, navigate to your creative hub and select EventLab. Then click the “My Events” option and a prompt will pop-up asking if you’d like to resume editing.

Question: Are there difference when building your events in Mexico vs EventLab Island? What about the Hot Wheels expansion and Rally Adventure Expansion? What are they?
Answer: There are HUGE difference between the four maps available in FH5!

  • EventLab Island has the greatest overall budget allowance when compared to the other (3) maps. You can expect to use about 15-20% more budget when building on EventLab Island vs Mexico.

  • HotWheels Expansion has some the best biodome locations, but you can’t deleted the pre-existing track pieces so it’s basically useless. (PLAYERS HAVE TO PURCHASE THE DLC TO PLAY YOUR EVENTS IF YOU CHOOSE TO BUILD HERE).

  • Rally Adventure offers some fantastic locations and roads for making customs race events, but the budget allowance is smaller than EventLab Island and players have to purchase the DLC otherwise they cannot play your event/blueprint.

Question: How do players spawn so many props in their events, but I can only place a few hundred before my budget is maxed out?
Answer: There are “hidden” elements to the budget bar and being able to exploit the mechanics are how players accomplish this. (This requires a full explanation which I have on my video).

  • If you spawn brand new props into your eventlab (props that you haven’t used before), then you budget will fill up quicker.

  • You should spawn less than 18 different props (variance wise). This way you can duplicate those props hundreds if not thousands of times and your budget will remain usable.

  • Avoid percentage heavy props altogether. If a prop costs more than 8% for a single spawn, it isn’t worth putting into your event. Grand stands don’t spawn people and cost a ton of budget–don’t use them.

Question: How does the budget bar percentage work? How does it calculate?
Answer: This is a simple answer. The more (different) props you spawn into your eventlab, the faster the budget is used. Remember this reference…

Different Props = More Budget Usage
Same Props (duplicated) = Less Budget Usage

Question: Prefabs…are they worth it? How do they impact your budget?
Answer: Prefabs are an excellent idea, but they pose two main problems:

  • You have to ensure the player you’re downloading the prefab from has build that prefab with the same props you’ve placed in your eventlab (OTHERWISE YOUR BUDGET WILL EXPAND MASSIVELY).

  • As of now, Prefabs use your budget faster than if you were to create the item(s) yourself. This means if you import a prefab and placed it in your event and then built the same prefab yourself and compared the budget usage, your budget would be impacted less by the item you built (if you don’t save it as a prefab, but instead duplicate it).

Question: How do players place items with precision? What tools are they using and how can I use them efficiently?
Answer: There are several tools available to players which include the camera speed options (slow/medium/fast) and the “step rotation” with “step degrees”.

  • Slow camera speed should be used to place an item once you’ve spawned the desired shape and have it in the general area for placement.

  • Step Rotation should be used for when you’re spawning props in and rotating, twisting, or looking for a specific angle. (90 degrees for example)

Question: How do people get live crowds, people, and animals in their events? What props are they using?
Answer: Players take advantage of the environments in Mexico and Rally Adventure Maps to accomplish this. Unfortunately you can’t spawn people into your events with props. (More on this topic and how to accomplish it in the video tutorial).

I will add to this topic if you have questions not answered in this thread.

this should be worth looking at. I’ve wondered about a lot of this stuff, and you’re pretty much one of the only creators I recognize.

I will cover Rulesets in the near future as this is another hot-topic which very few understand. If there is anything you have questions on, don’t hesitate to reach out or drop a comment in this thread. I’d be happy to add it in a future video.
