The addition of this Story as being part of the weekly challenges is a real kick in the teeth for people like me who ( despite trying to be able do so for years now ) just cannot get to grips with the whole drifting experience.
Why make it impossible to complete the weekly by adding it here?
Fine - have the Story. I’ve no issues with that but making it a weekly completion task is just wrong.
You can unlock both seasonal cars without completing this story…
Also the bar has been set so low to 3 star everything in this story that a new born baby is able to do it.
Some people just don’t want to do drifting, a concept that some seem to have a hard time understanding.
Sorry but no.
I’ve already unlocked the cars but won’t be able to complete the weeklies because of it.
The bar is not low for non-drifters. Can’t even get close to 1 star on the second challenge of the story.
It’s fine I suppose for controller users but on my wheel the thing just spins out of control constantly. Back to the whole issue of not being able to change the wheel rotation angle down for drift events. Something else I’ve been asking to get back into the game for months now but no response from the Devs as usual.
Weeklies??? Do you mean 100% completion? I don’t understand why you need to do it.
I do actually find it hard to believe a new born baby would be able to do it, so methinks you are telling porkies.
Alright I may have exaggerated slightly. Maybe a 3 month old toddler.
It’s an OCD thing - I want to 100% weeklies as much as I can.
Even that is pushing it a bit, but I guess if console players can manage it then it might be true.
Why are my posts such as “that’s your problem then” being ignored by the community? What is wrong with you all. I’m done wasting my time in this thread.
I can understand that drifting can be difficult if you don’t got the hang of it yet. Luckily for you though drifting has been made a hell of a lot easier in FH5 than it was in FH3 and FH4.
If you want to practice drifting I highly recommend drifting around roundabouts. You can try getting your car sideways and if you spin out you can try again immediately instead of having to drive back to do a certain corner again. Try out some cars until you find one you’re comfortable with. I would suggest a Corvette C5 or the new Supra. Otherwise the Formula Drift cars are good too since they have high steering angles so you can correct a bit more. When you get the hang of you can try the Drift Club story.
Like others said it’s not that hard. Drifting points rack up quick in FH5 so you’ll get at least 1 star easily after a few good corners. 3 stars can be obtained half way through the track. I finished mine with almost 50% more than I needed to get. You just need to practice drifting more first before trying the Drift Club.
Also very important; look into your difficulty settings and make sure to turn off Traction Control and Stability Control and set steering to simulation.
Good luck!

^This^ is where I’m at. Can’t get more than about 50K on chapter 2 because the car just spins out.
I know I’m terrible at drifting, and I’ve got no inclination to try getting better, because I’d rather practice driving without the back end sliding.
Because you think OCD is just “A Problem”
Like I said - I’ve been trying to get good at it for years - no joy.
Welcome to the club I had a post flagged earlier for a daft reason but when I complained they unignored it.
Managed 106K at best but usually run out of time before I can even get the 1 star.
I didn’t explicitly say that but if you want to know what I really think then I would gladly say the problem is you. Drifting is part of the game. It’s also optional to do. Don’t like it THEN DON’T DO IT!
generally speaking, I don’t. I’m sure I’ll get a chance at the mustang later
You explicitly said OCD was “Just your Problem”.
Didn’t say I didn’t like (trying) it - just that it shouldn’t be part of the weekly completion list.
I don’t know if it was just the story or my mojo but last night I was struggling with drifting. Chapter 1 went ok, 3 stars easy, then it all went downhill (especially on the uphill bits ). Normally 3 Stars wouldn’t be a struggle, especially in FH5, and I am far from a good drifter. I might have to tweak settings, or abuse the heck out of the rewind button, it’s like a couple small errors ruin the whole run in Chapter 2. Chapter 3 wasn’t looking much better. And that did it for my time last night. But…
…at least it’s not a weekly. We actually have the whole month to get er done. Right ? Just like the Monthly Rivals. So, there’s still lots of time to practice and grind it out for the Mach-E, the points, and full completion. Relax, you got this
