Forza why don’t you extend the drift zone at Cara Este to the bottom of the la gran caldera instead since I completed the drift club Mexico where I had to get 1 million drift points from the top of the la gran caldera to the bottom so can you try and extend it from top of la gran caldera to the bottom please
It’s absolutely doable I’ve managed to do so a couple of times (just) and am not a great drifter. Used the Deberti Toyota as an S2 for this week’s challenge. In the past also managed using an A class Trueno and Willy’s.
How many points short are you? A lot of my runs are between 960 and 990, so just failing short. I’m sure that with a car that suits me better and a bit more practice I can hit the 1M almost every single time.
Edit 20-11: did quite a few additional runs in several cars in A and S2 but only once was I able to hit that 1M, came to 990k+ a few times. Remarkable. Like said although my PB is just 17k over the 1M I’ve hit between 1M and 1M+10k several before. I might have some tries later to figure out what’s up.
Get a 4wd, snow tire tune on pretty much any car at s2 class and it should be within reach.
Of course I haven’t done it yet because its night time. Whenever I log onto this game, it’s night. No matter what the season recently, you guessed it – it’s night. Night, night, night. I’m sick of night.
I blame the Count Draculas on this forum who lobbied to recreate in Mexico the day light hours of the Artic Circle in mid winter.
Worst PR stunt they have ever had. Impossible if you aren’t good at drifting. Spent 4 hours trying. You need to 250,000 points per mile and most of us are just not capable of that no matter what car no matter what line I take I cannot do that. Just completely thoughtless of them.
How many points approx do you fall short?
What car and setup do you use? AWD or RWD, traction control off etc, etc.
Like said I’m not that good a drifter, had a bunch of runs on this zone just after game launch and occasionally during a Drift Arcade and managed the weekly in two tries. I don’t think I’ve had a lot more than 4 hours on this one. New players probably won’t be able to achieve this today, but somewhere during the week might be possible providing they have enough playing time to spare.
Try the Formula Drift Supra (old one) or the Viper. Stay on the road to maximize your score and try to keep your speed up. Scores are determined using angle and speed
30,000 short but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I seem to do better sometimes but in reality I’m not. It comes out around the same. I don’t ever use assists. I forgot what car I did best in. I can get around that score in many of them but I always fall short. Rimac, a bunch of Formula drift cars. I deleted all the tunes because it was making a mess. I must have tried over 100 times. There is something about drifting I do not understand and I guess I never will.
muhahaha… guilty …but hey, I’m not getting night all the time, still rarely and briefly, so that’s where it’s been going
Bit too late now, but I might give it a new try tomorrow. Hope to be able to be if any assistance then. Hard if you can’t see what someone’s doing but your score is basically what I scored let’s say the last 8 out of 10 tries.
It is doable, although if you are not good at drifting, you are not going to have a good time (I think there is no single thing I despise more than drifting, so that that as you will).
I did mine after about a dozen attempts or so with different cars, eventually managed in a Deberti Toyota. I would image it’s “easier” when it’s raining, and given that it’s stormy season, rain should be a reasonably often occurrence, although it didn’t happen to me.
There are days I wonder if peoples who are supposed to prepare events at games are all recruted for being masochists.
How in hell is that supposed to be FUN. Yes we can understand there need to be some “challenge”, but there is definitively a difference between “adding some challenge” and “drifting your player base far away from the game” with some of the most unfun kind of events.
I am ready to bet that drifting is enjoyed by a niche part of the players.
I for one, absolutely HATE drifting with a passion. I still did my best to beat most of the events on the regular map to earn the 3 stars.
But for the Drift Club I did not even bother, pure hell and pain for a regular player who just want to HAVE FUN.
For god sake, when event creators do lose sight that what ever the “challenge” they want to put in their event, they need to keep in mind it’s a GAME and player are here to “enjoy” and not to feel punished and *********.
That’s a whole hour and half lost trying with various cars. What ever I try, I am get from 300 to 140k short of the goal. And that’s a whole hour and half I have been getting more and more angry.
Already had to put with the service incompetence when they lost both my FH4 and FH5 profile and having to redo every single stories and losing every single achievements I had from the game start, only to see more and more crazy things like this.
Got to play on an event on FH4 last week. A DIRT race event, with one tiny bit of a ‘twist’, the 2 first races were on Dirt tracks, and the last race against those ultra cheaty drivatar in FH4 was on the Goliath… Trying to beat Drivatar with infinite grip on a Road Race with cars that need to be set for dirt for the 2 first race.
I start to wonder if the team behind Forza is trying to beat EA and those others at the “Worse company of the year”.
My previous best was 750k, which I figured was pretty good considering the 3-star requirement is only 500k. So what do our genius devs do? Put out a weekly stunt that DOUBLES the 3-star requirement. Yeah, sure, okay.
Whenever I log in it’s day. If it ever turns to night, I just need to blink a couple of times and it will be day again because the nights are ridiculously shorter than the days. Of course, night doesn’t stop me from doing anything… unlike a drift event which requires a million points, which I’m inclined to give a hard NO to on the face of it unless it’s drifting around the Goliath.
Almost everytime I leave either the house or the outpost its night and I have to wait ages and ages for it to be dawn. The dawn also takes ages and ages to turn to a day I can work with. And this has been the pattern the last few seasons.
Usually I’ve worked on a tune and want to try it out and make modifications as I go. But I can’t do that when its pitch black, not knowing whether is it the tune or the near zero visibility effecting my driving and having to strain my eyes to see a thing. Very frustrating. They should fix it that whenever its dark on freeroam, its day on solo and vice versa.
I’m able to control nighttime in my game. What I do is lower the brightness and contrast on my tv until I can barely see anything. Then I turn off the lights and squint my eyes. I also have a flash light (torch) which I flash every now and then to give the illusion of a cars headlights at night.
I would have to do something like lowering the brightness and contrast in order for it to be anything like “pitch black.” Or do something really stupid - leave the energy saver/ambient light sensor/autobrightness setting on my TV turned on. Those things are the worst.
You’re right forgot about that. Thought the 3* score was a bit higher. Doubling the required score is too much. I guess a 750k would have been a lot more reasonable already.
I do like the occasional drift, it’s basically the only type of Arcade I voluntarily play once and awhile, so this weekly was fine with me.
My conclusion doable for a bunch of us, definitely not for everyone both skill and fun wise.
By the way did anyone do that speed trap one in HW already? Had to use the bloody Jesko that I don’t like to use to get to and maintain that kind of speed.
Its you all who complain about the game being to hard who is ruin the game. If you cant do it first try you complain its to hard. What is the point if you dont get challanged in a game and have to improve to pass cerain events?
For me all events is way 2 easy and i almist always do it first try. Why ? Bec i spent time to be a better driver and drifter.
What you call hard, i call fun and challening. Go play Mario cart or someting if you want a kids game. Wich horizon series has become btw, all thanks do people complain that it was 2 hard.
I say make all events harder, much harder. Right now a 5 year old can complete them.
I agree for most of the ‘challenges’, they mostly have been to easy for my taste as well. I do however understand that for those not that are either new players or just not into drifting a challenge that is double the 3* score for the zone can be quite hard.
The really good players probably won’t find a challenge in any form in those weeklies unless the add a challenging factor themselves.
With all due respect, I enjoy a challenge as well and would prefer harder challenges but it is rated e for everyone and is made so anyone can play/enjoy it regardless of skill level. I dont think the drift zone was hard by any means but I do see alot who are struggling. So we have to respect the different skill levels. Also in my opinion gaming in general in terms of racing hasnt really been difficult since the early 2000s. Its just the way of the world anymore they tend to just get easier and easier.
I will say some of the posts saying 850k is impossible let alone 1mil shouldnt really exist… as 1.27mil is technically possible right now after the patch. It may feel difficult for them but using the terminology “impossible” tends to bother me.
Technically speaking it always was a kids game as everyone was included…
