How to get 1 million drift points when track is too short

You get assists for everything except for drifting. I cannot do this. I’ve tried over 100 times it will not generate enough points. I I do better same score it makes no sense. I just can’t. It’s 2 points this is terribly unfair.

You make more points based upon amount of angle, the speed following this angle, and the fewer amount of transitions you do the fewer amount of lost points. Again im free this weekend if you need a hand and need a line to follow

It doesn’t matter. I cannot control the car with that degree of precision doing this. I can’t. it is impossible. I’ve tried and tried and tried again and again and again. I’ve improved but I can’t break 970,000. My hands hurt I’m tired of doing this over and over with nothing to show for it. 6 hrs. Nothing should take this long to do. It won’t stop raining either. Over and over.

 if you ever change your mind my gamertag is the same as here.

I don’t understand the drift mechanic. Lines will not help if I cannot drift properly. I just don’t get it. I’ve always struggled with this. I’m not even interested in drifting at all. This is like asking someone who never played Motorsport to put up a top 100 time instantly. This is what they asking for 2 measly points. I’m beyond frustrated with this. Sorry. I just do not think it’s fair. I have a 100% every season and now I won’t. They have never asked anything this difficult.

maybe for you, i remember a challenge where you needed to win a horizon open race. Didn’t know much about meta cars at the time and it took me hours, if not days,…

Racing games has always been for all ages but they never where made for children. Horizon 5 was made for all to win regardless of how good or bad you are, i mean they even had autosteering at first, until it was abused for afk. But in doing so they make a very booring game for people who like a challange. Like a driving game should be.

So yes horizon 5 is aimed for only children, and cheaters. But thats a diff topic

Horzion3 was the high point for this series and it has and will only do down from there. This meetoo attidude will and have ruined this game. You dont get banned if you cheat youbeven get to keep a score of best cheaters. but if you make a offensive liverty then your banned for life.

Honestly I like drifting in Forza Horizon 5, but even if I could do 1 million points in that drift zone, I would not try more than two or three times to get that two points - got the cars already, so there is no use to waste my time.

For me it is truly bad design of a challenge to simply double the amount of points originally needed for a three star rating.

Can you explain why I can now only get 930k-970k with my PB at 981k? That’s with 4 different cars with 4 different ways they handle. All tunes by Kenpai TDG.

When was that 981k PB set? Right after game release?

Today.

Recognizable. I hit between 960 and 980, 8 or 9 out of ten times. Yesterday lucky to have that 10th run at the second try. Did one run today, have not yet had any time today to perform more: 977. In the FD Supra. Went slightly of the track stopping the score about four times so I know where I missed those points. I refuse to use Rewind here.

BTW, you can also use an S1 car. Maybe that makes it easier for some of you…

I know it says “S2”, but S1 is also accepted… Maybe the class designates a maximum for PR stunts and does not restrict to this class…?

Practice makes perfect. The lines and approaches mean everything. Also Kenpai is an awesome tuner but in the end it still comes down to preference.

I remember that Open custom challenge. You had to drive a Ford. Lobbies were packed. I eventually won a race after countless efforts in a Ford Deberti pick-up. Then I realised the Ford Deberti isn’t counted as a Ford in this game. There was a real danger Forza could have hit the headlines for prompting a ‘member of the community’ to go postal…but it was a good challenge for all of that. I don’t want to retrace ground covered in different threads but the real meaningful challenges are the challenges where…there is a certain real risk of failure. And I hold to that.

Using a traditional RWD drift tune for this PR stunt would be more challenging for me. A 4WD tune on snow tires means I find it hard not to break through the million barrier. A tune like that is so effective it should really be seen as controversial, lol.

Drags are way better than snow if you want to make it even easier

I’m definitely in the “can’t drift, won’t drift” club so I’m not sure what possessed me to attempt this in the first place, never mind preserve with it!
2 sessions later, 4 different cars with about 10 tries each, I finally squeaked it with 4,938 points over the target…
uphill…
at night…
one handed…
listening to difficult jazz………

Kinda off topic but what kind of Jazz :eyes:. I also listen to Jazz when playing Forza. For me its Electro Jazz

954,000 using supra. All evening I am waiting next rain to try again. It always raining when I play but when you need it - it never comes. 3 stars needs 500,000, weekly event - million. Creative managers don’t play this game…
Finally, I have completed this task. I have spent 3h to do it… :face_with_head_bandage:

This was the key to success for me!

As a keyboard player who dislikes drifting and of course i’m terrible at it i found horrendous experience trying to drift with S2 cars and Kenpai TDG tunes most people use. So, i got a Willys Jeep tune that was A800 and meant to be meta for a class open drifting, i put 2nd gear during the whole thing and did 992000 at the first try and around 1010000 at the second try.
