How to get 1 million drift points when track is too short

I tend to spin off with drags. A bit wild for me.

I got it with:
1932 Ford Coupe tune from INOOB78, Share Code 489 519 306
Uphill, automatic transmission, no traction or stability
I probably tried half a dozen times with Formula Drift, got it first go with the A800 Ford.

Thank you so much. Got it on 3rd try. So much easier in A class. S2 is just too fast for me to maintain a drift. This car was so much easier. I can’t thank you enough. Finally!

Try tuning the cars yourself I’ve never used anyone else’s tune I always tune to suit my style of driving.
Here’s a tip if the car seems to oversteer too much add positive castor to the rear(slide bar to left) but increase slowly till your happy with being able to sustain a slide without snapping and spinning out if won’t hold a slide for long do the opposite and go negative caster of the rear (slide to right).

Make sure your brakes are set more offset towards the front this helps you to be able to decrease the amount of angle when applying slight bit of brake and throttle at the same time (helps the front of the car head towards the inside of the corner)

If your in a slide and you start heading to the inside of a corner tap the handbrake to kick out a bit.

Most importantly have the steering set to realistic it helps.

Or you can ignore all I’ve said and learn your own way.

Ha, the million points Drift Zone, finally the Elden Ring’s competitor we have been waiting for. (No seriously, after failing the zone there should be a black screen with big red “YOU TRIED” typed on it)

No seriously… the “challenge” is tough, maybe annoying and time consuming, but it is doable, and that is coming form a guy who plays car games casually, hates drifting and hates tuning even more.

after rage-quitting this steaming pile on Thursday i haven’t tried since. it’s not worth the aggravation and the measly 2 points you get for it. not to mention that since they nerfed the wheelspins the super you get as a reward wouldn’t be worth it either.

It was much easier in that 32 Ford Coupe previously mentioned with share code. Try it. Just much easier than anything else I tried. S2 is way too fast for people not good at drifting.

There’s nothing better than a Mustang for beginners. Either #25 or #88, or ideally the formula drift one. Get a tune called Godlike Drifting (it’s just below S1 900) and start practicing.
I use those for years, playing with keyboard and AT and EASILY get > 1.000.000 points there. I also win sometimes Online Drifting with it.

It’s funny reading all these comments about the drift zone. Just be like me and don’t do it. In fact ignore the whole playlist like me :slightly_smiling_face:

Is what you guys are talking about a new PR stunt they added, a seasonal PR stunt requirement or just an old stunt?

Seasonal PR requirement.

After struggling with swapping cars / tunes the whole day, I’ve managed to complete it on first try using Carcrazy7320 Willys S2 tune. (To note I’m playing on keyboard)

Took me more attempts than I would have liked, but I nailed it. I started out using the Hoonicorn but was nowhere near close enough, so I finally bit the bullet and looked at tunes for my usual drifting car of choice, the FD Supra. Found a 5-star rated one called “Drifting God” (I think), and it took me a while to wrap my brain around it, but after several tries and a day’s break I started getting agonizingly close, and then finally got a run just over the million mark. That was just stupid.

Oh, and a special shout-out to this week’s Danger Sign, which is likewise way above the 3-star requirement and involves dealing with some infuriating terrain and trees on the massive run-up you’ll need to hit it. Great work this week boys!

its not not impossible but just be like me and dont bother with it
its not worth the time and effort for the pitiful rewards for doing it

in fact why are you doing it, you dont need it unless you are ocd and must do 100%

If less transitions leads to more points, while in a Drift oc, then I think I know why I don’t hit the target more often. I tend to make transitions. Even in those longer turns you do want to go through in one ‘big slide’ I have trouble keeping control the last few day so either need to transition or reduce speed, sometimes a lot.

What you need most is to get as sideways as possible, preferably perpendicular to the road you’re drifting on. Speed helps, but it’s secondary. I did it with the Willys Jeep with Drift Zone WR tune at 1,014,028 points. I kept my car as slow as a snail and I transitioned A LOT. Slow but sideways, and patience are crucial because the closer you get to the finish line, the more unforgiving it is (less time allowed to correct your car).

Spent 15 min doing this challenge. 10 min of tuning, 5 min of actual drifting. From second try I got it to 1.016K. Used Ferrari 458 RWD stock tyres, drift suspension and all the rest tuned to the max. Stock motor twin turbo. 4-gear drift transmission. Second gear is the sweet spot. It is actually not so hard even with the weird car like the one I picked for this.

I used the Forsberg “Gold Leader” 280Z downhill in the wet in first gear with Kenpai TDG’s tune. Two runs, one a sighter, one in attack mode.

It’s not the purest way, but I was quickly off doing other stuff.

(Mountain looked cool with so many cars drifting up and down it.)

I tend to dislike the Willys. Because its very easy to fly off in that. Ditto that Isetta thing.

VW Golf Mk2 is what I’d recommend. Very steady car, predictable but a bit of weight to it. And easy to slide. I’d take that over the FD cars for drifting anyway

Underrated drifter too is the Mk2 Escort and the 2014 Fiesta.

I recommend setting interim goals.
(I used the Ferrari 599xx bi-turbo RWD downhill, maxed out at S1 873 with maximum width drift tires and drift gearbox, 3rd and 4th gear only, used lots of attempts, after previous failures with the E-Mustang (RWD) and Dodge).
Rewinding is the key (for me).
Friend of mine succeeded with the BMW isetta (even better than me, grrmbl).

The first long right 180° downhill should be passed with 110.000 at minimum.
The next large left around the trees after the nord-south passage should begin with 300.000 and the excavator should be passed with 500.000 or more (560.000 were possible for me, with luck) on the clock.
The next 180° turn to the right after that should see at least 600.000.
If you are below 800.000 at the last right hand 180° turn you might as well start again, the final U and right hand 90° before the target gives you 110.00 at outmost only.
