Drift Club Mexico Story

I’ve run through the Drift Story again and have a few tips on each chapter that I hope can be a little bit helpful for those who aren’t as confident drifters.

Drift Club Mexico Story

Chapter 1 – Back in the Slide Again :star:10K, :star::star:25K, :star::star::star:50K

Car – Toyota Trueno

Location – Festival drag strip

Tips – partial throttle and lots of side-to-side steering (you don’t have to worry too much about the obstacles on the strip). Before you get to the destination, turn around and drift back toward the Hall of Fame leaders’ board. Just make sure you turn back around in time to get to the destination

Chapter 2 – Reservoir Drift :star:150K, :star::star:200K, :star::star::star:300K

Car – Nismo GTR

Location – Paved road on the north side of the reservoir heading east from one crossroad to the next crossroad (2.1 miles)

Time: 3:20

Tips – Do Super 7 Challenge Card with share code 722 483 155 by Akchimist81 for practice. This one is tight on time for the distance. The trick is to do lots (near constant) of side-to-side drifting on the straights and try to do sustained drifting through the turns to maximize points. Try to stay on the road. The 3 star score on this chapter is about halfway between the 2 and 3 star score for the Reservoir Drift Zone (171K).

Chapter 3 – Jungle Kick :star:200K, :star::star:300K, :star::star::star:450K

Car – Formula Drift BMW 325i

Location – Back paved road NE of the old airstrip heading southeast, under the highway tunnels and north to the next 4-way intersection. (3.1 miles)

Time: 3:20

Tips – Personally I think that, despite this being a mile longer, chapter 3 is easier to do than chapter 2. The 325i is available for 300,00 credits from the auto show and you can practice in it on the stretch of road where the course is. You will want to go about 60-70 mph (especially on the straights) so you can make it to the destination. But you can get some good points if you can maintain drifts through the straights at higher speeds. You can also practice going up Arbolada Drift Zone (south to north) for the end of this challenge.

Chapter 4 – Canyon Curves :star:200K, :star::star:430K, :star::star::star:600K

Car – 2020 Formula Drift Supra 151

Location – Copper Canyon – Starting at the east end of the northernmost road (at the intersection above Eliminator and going west (4.5 miles)

Time: 4:20

Tips – Practice in the FD Supra on the road where this course runs. The car sells for 300,000 credits. You will want to be able to drift at relatively high speeds on the straight to get the points and make the time. I was going about 100 mph the last ¾ mile.

Chapter 5 – Volcano Run Curves :star:350K, :star::star:850K, :star::star::star:1,000,000

Car – 2015 Formula Drift Mustang

Time – 10:00

Location – Paved road on the east side of the volcano from about where the pavement starts until the first intersection at the bottom (6.9 miles)

Tips – Relax. You have plenty of time on this one so there is no need to be in too much of a rush and risk flying off the road on the hairpin turns. I’d say about 60 mph on the straights and 40-50 mph on the turns is optimal for most less skilled drifters. You want to go at a speed where you can stay on the road as it is easy to go off road which wastes valuable distance. You can buy and practice drifting down the mountain in this car going for 300K. You can also practice doing the Cara Este drift Zone. If you can score 600K points on it, you are on track to get a million on the chapter based on distances.

Chapter 6 – Drift Club Mexico :star:25K, :star::star:50K, :star::star::star:100K

Car –2021 Mustang Mach-E 1400

Time: 3:20 on the last part

Location – Through the streets of Guanajuato

Tips – You have plenty of time and a very low score on the first two parts of this chapter. So just drift a little to the destination. On Part 3, you need to change the car to RWD. This car is harder to control in RWD. The nice thing is you can actually switch it back to AWD to get your points. You have plenty of time. Don’t give it too much throttle, especially as you approach some of the sharper turns. But you can do some faster controlled drifts on the straights to help build your point total. If you complete the chapter but don’t get three stars, you now have the Mach-E that you can use to practice drifting on the streets.
