Seasonal PR stunts - why no drift?

For some time I have been trying to max my drift run stat on Horizon life but can’t do that as drift PR stunts are so rarely released these days. I always check fortune island and Lego valley too. Please can we have more drift PR stunts in the future ? Thx

I agree!
But PLEASE only on Fortune Island or Lego Valley
Of course that is a personal preference. I find it really hard to get 3 stars on most drift zones, let alone get a seasonal target. I did it a few weeks back, but it took me hours of practice. It was fun I must admit, but I wonder if I’d do it again.
Then again, it would only be fair to have the drift PR stunts in the playlist now and again.

Don’t think players without dlc would like that. If you struggle on drift zones, try manual gearbox with Alfa Romeo p3. I assume you use rwd car with traction control off, stability control off as well.

I agree : )
And since drift is a significant part of Horizon it is more than logical to have more drift PR stunts. The point I made was rather selfish and unfounded, as are a lot of request ons this forum
Just like the previous poster I found your request to be a very reasonable one though!

I’ll try the p3.
I use everything off, manual gearbox and normal steering on controller (I am worse with a wheel when drifting).
I’ve been using the Formula Drift cars. The Viper actually got me the previous drift PR stunt.
However, I am not a completionist and with the last Horizon Story being released now, getting my 812 Superfast is going to happen without me having to 3-star all the drift chapters, so I am good for now.

you don’t need dlc to complete the festival playlist. there are seasonal pr stunts every week on both lego valley and fortune island.

I know that. You didn’t read the thread. Someone mentioned that he doesn’t like drift and would rather have it in fortune island or Lego valley so that way he can have 100% in a festival playlist. Then I said that players without dlc who want to max their drift run wouldn’t like it. Of course I am aware that I don’t need dlc in order to complete festival playlist.

I’m rubbish at drift and unable to get three stars let alone a seasonal ‘stretch’ target in most zones. I’m in awe of some of the big scores people get.

Agree it would seem reasonable to have one now and again but it will always impact my ability to get 100%.

I didn’t like drift at first but then I got used to the Ford Mustang, and then I could 3 star every track. Now I get in the top percent, and I like drifting.

and to answer the op, the people who can’t drift will just cry about it being too hard.

I would love to see it replace the playground games … even occasionally
as long as they don’t go daft with car requirements …“must be a D class Truck”

OP, Ask and you shall receive…

Now, let me preface my thoughts with …

I can drift and have 3* all the normal drift events. I do not enjoy drifting and therefore don’t like doing the events . (so, no, not everyone who hates drifting is bad at it).

Now, that being said, I would not mind drifting replacing the Playground Games event from time to time. I personally would rather it replace PG than Danger Zone, but that is just my preference.

That was quick ! I asked for a new PR drift and there we have it. Finally maxed my drift run to lvl 25. Happy days.

I loved drifting in Forza Motorsport 4, in Horizon it sucks though. If Horizon had the same physics as the motorsport franchise the game would be much better, also they should have done something similar to GRID because the drift system they had was actually fun.

Have you tried the #88 Mustang? Once you put a drift tune on that it is easy to drift. I prefer it to the Drift Viper even.

I continue to have the greatest success with the Drift Viper.

I aced the weekly drift event on my second attempt, and by a wide margin. (First time, I forgot to change to manual shift, or I probably would have aced it the first time.)

What tune do you use?, I can’t get a good tune for it.

I am not the best at drifting, not by a long shot, but I have found this one works well for my style:

S2 982 “DRIFT ZONE” Creator: Tiptronik .

I also make sure that Traction Control and Stability Control are both OFF. I use Manual mode for transmission and just leave it in either 3rd or 4th (and very rarely 2nd) for the entire run. My choice of gears depends on the zone.

This tune does well for me on asphalt as well as dirt.

Hope this helps.

It turns out that it’s the tune I already had. I tried it again in the Drift Viper still 20000 lower than the scores I get in the #88 Ford Mustang. As an experiment try the #88 Mustang tuned with “Ultimate Drift” by Savage Narwhal95. For me the #88 beats the Viper because it isn’t such a long car to hit the walls, and turns easier.

Drift Viper at Sycamore Pastures I get about 70000
#88 Mustang at Sycamore Pastures I get 94,076

I’m not the best either at drifting - i Can hardly maintain to get 2 stars in total on this weeks Drift-PR., no matter which car i use (FD or Hoonigan, etc…)
As i want to get better i search and ask for solutions - should i use rdw or fwd, A, S1, S2 and High or Low PI.
So when i see a recommendation i give it a try.

Eventhough i go :disappointed: when i see a drift PR, i don’t give up on them but keep trying - at sometime i will manage to get 3 stars - if not… too bad

Keep up the spirit and happy driving.

There is no right or wrong answer about which car to use, some people are better with RWD than with AWD and vice versa. Personally I prefer AWD as it’s easier for me. RWD is less forgiving.

I did this week’s PR stunt first time in the Formula Drift #43 Viper, I did a lazy run with a few big mistakes and still easily beat the target. The target is very modest in other words.
