Since it looked like we got one of the events per week I’m hoping that this is a monthly reset. There is basically nothing to do in this game if you don’t want to do multiplayer - which I avoid to minimize frustration of ridiculous drivers. Free play is fun, but without track day meetup, driving against AI gets boring really quick.
If we don’t get a monthly reset of the featured races I’ll probably hang up this game for at least the remainder of the year. The “career” was so disappointing. I wasn’t even playing a lot and I finished it in two weeks.
Fingers crossed we get some new content for November and they get the track day meetup added back in as soon as possible.
Career mode needs a MAJOR content infusion. Like you, I have done every single event and am shocked at how little content there was. The current plans for content updates sound like a trickle for single player races (one event each week and it disappears shortly after completed). They will need something much more substantial to keep players around who aren’t primarily interested in multiplayer.
I would say they definitely need more content to keep players around. But at this point they just need a game that is playable and doesn’t crash, erase tracks mid-race, or fail to join lobbies if they want to keep people around.
This game is back burnered for me now, probably until next year to see what they figure out. Unbelievable that 6 years and this is what they delivered. They did better with two year gaps going from five to six to seven. They must have played a lot of golf for the first 5 years of this break.
Yes this was very peculiar and I noticed it right away. I thought, “well this is the last career road to go down and they’ve shortened it with less races and less laps.” It would have been so easy to extend this career mode, just by making more combinations of classes and cars. It seems like it would have been a day or two of work for one person to do the design layout and then just a matter of coding it in with the template they already had. So frustrated, at this point I’m moving on to some other entertainment…
