Single player

How to play more single player events. I don’t want to play multiplayer games. I don’t like multiplayer. I don’t want to take this game back.

Yea I played a bit yesterday, one race was all I could tolerate.

…We also recognize that many of you would like the opportunity to revisit previous Featured Tours and unlock their associated reward cars.
Later this year, we will add select series and rewards from previous updates as permanent additions to the Builders Cup.
Next year we’ll be introducing a number of permanent race car-focused Tours to the Career…

Free Play

It gives us infinite events. You can pick what track, what track variant, how many laps, rolling or standing start, weather, time of day/night, car restrictions, et cetera.

Next week will be for update 15.0.

Play Freeplay, make your own races. That is all you can do. I do the same. I also don’t like multiplayer. I don’t want to play against meta cars, rammers etc. that is not my definition of fun.

I am only a bit over average skillwise and don’t want to compete with meta cheat users etc.

If you hesitated between two or more cars in a career series, it’s worth going back and playing them again with a different car. And because Builder’s Cup events are not time-limited, you can actually take the time to do practice without having to feel the pressure of the ticking clock.

Otherwise, if you want to play against AI, you have Free Play. The main difference between Free Play and career is that you don’t get grid positioning (unless you are willing to fiddle with group settings), you don’t get practice, and it can be quite annoying setting up some restrictions or group races.

Then, if you don’t mind driving on your own, you have Rivals. It’s a good way to just test out some cars, or test out some tracks. You can even measure yourself against other players for fun and profit.

I keep suggesting that they stop removing fomo events, and instead add them to the builders cup but they don’t want to listen. I have grown tired of playing the few events we have and have moved back to AMS2 now that 1.6 update has released. I like this game a lot but there is really nothing to do for the singleplayer that rewards a player for playing, it’s all just so stale and boring.

It is, most definitely, the most major sticking point for singleplayer, that they could easily fix but inexplicably don’t.

The single-player “career” (if it could accurately be called that) is bare-bones with little to do.
Multi-player only ever has a small list of hoppers/playlists to choose from (and those lobbies are often on a short repetitive list of the same few tracks).

There’s so little racing to keep players engaged that it seems like they never meant for anyone to actually get invested in playing this game for long.

Before I canceled game pass and uninstalled FM a few months ago, I ran up a little over 500 hours play time. If it wasn’t for private leagues I had to seek out on my own, I doubt I’d have compiled a quarter of that figure.

“Career” in this game is practically non-existent - you can’t even create your own custom championships. (And even if you could, who would want to, with the sorry state of the AI currently?) And I have no desire to wade into public MP to roll the dice on how many rammers or otherwise toxic trolls I’ll be matched up against.

It really does seem like the game makes you go out of your way to find compelling ways to engage with it.

The philosophy of the game is allegedly that you play the Builder’s Cup, and then you just go into multiplayer. It’s why the BC is production cars only, and MP largely focused in racecars.

I doubt they really thought that’s what players would do, considering they should have the data from previous games on exactly how many of their players never touch multiplayer.

And I don’t really mind the format of the career. I don’t come to Forza to manage a career. What I’m more upset about is that there seems to be very little effort made to reach out to SP players and improve their experience. I mean, they added practice to private multiplayer, but free play is still massively lagging behind, with no explanations given.

A few relatively minor changes could massively improve the singleplayer experience. But they’re not happening.

Is nonexistent

If you have the option to get your money back, DO IT.

They just don’t care.
If someone cared they would have fixed it.
Games is out for 12 months, we have been begging for proper SP content.
They improved the broken AI.
Sure…they improved it just as much as they built this game from the ground up…
They just don’t care.
Omitting content, releasing a halfbaked excuse for a SP campaign en FOMO that actually is not worth missing out on if you come to think of the effort/time you need to put into it.

All I can say the ones responsible for releasing this pre-alpha wannabe triple A game should be held accountable.
Their lack of communication and fixes is just sad
Just admitting defeat and owning up to delivering an unfinished, bloated overpriced rotting husk of a game that killed off a once brilliant franchise is the least they shoud do.
Apolgies to us.the gamers.
Worst of all I have lost my faith in these clowns.
