Just noticed this tonight when my son logged on to play. Seems like it should work, bc we went to the marketplace in game and everything including the vip says purchased and installed. And we don’t see a way to buy anything again with his account bc its all already purchased on my account on the same xbox one.

When posting troubleshooting questions remember to provide as much detail as possible (including console, though in this case it’s obviously for the Xbox One).
Please define “not working” - are the other accounts able to use credit to buy VIP cars from the Autoshow? Are the other accounts not able to see the VIP cars in the Autoshow lineup? Are the other accounts seeing VIP cars in the Autoshow but attempting to buy the cars with credits results in a prompt to the dashboard Store to install the DLC?
Secondary accounts should not expect to have the benefits of 0 credit cars or VIP crown or double Wheelspin bonus. The benefit of shared DLC is that the game content (cars) is added to the game and shouldn’t require the second account on a Gold-sharing Home account to purchase the DLC in order to access the cars with in game credits.
If you want a second account to purchase DLC in order to have benefits other than the ability to buy cars in game, try this and report back whether it works:
- Change all accounts in Settings to “This is not my home console”
- See if the second account can purchase the DLC. If the Store indicates that it is Installed, go to the main purchased account, delete the DLC (which can be reinstalled later for free) and then go to the second account and see if it can be purchased.

As I’ve understood it, only the purchaser gets the benefits of VIP/Car Pass in Forza Horizon 2. Anyone else on that same console will be able to buy the exclusive cars for their normal credit value.

My partner and I both play Horizon 2 on our separate accounts. I have vip status, my partner also wants vip status but when we go to purchase on her account it says installed, but she doesn’t have vip access. Is there a trick to this?
I became a VIP member also, and ofcourse, my son wants the cars and double rewards also (on his own account and same Xbox).
However, he is not a VIP member and cannot download the membership, because it is already installed on our Xbox.
What to do?

Could be a solution, but should not even be considered, because of the Family Live-accounts ofcourse. It is my Home console, so that should not be altered…

That turned out to be just about the only way for FM5, if not the only way. (If you follow the link on how to install VIP on multiple accounts in the FM5 FAQ, you get my post 
) You’re not altering anything permanently either. I’ve actually done this again for FH2. My exact method quoted from another FH2 thread:
It should be noted, I have never done this with three accounts. I strongly suspect installing from the second account is a key step. Doing this for more than two may require you to install on the second, uninstall VIP again, buy on the third, and install from the third. I am unable to test this theory without making a third account and spending money needlessly however.

Hello everybody. i bought the car pass on my xbox and i have to live acc. i was wondering if i would be able to download the dlc’s when they come out on both acc? or will i only be able to download on the account that i bought it on.

Both accounts should have access to the dlc, but the free cars can only be ‘purchased’ with the account that bought the dlc.
Is that the same for vip because I have vip but my other accounts don’t and there’s no option to rebut as it says installed
yea also on my second acc i dont have the crown next to my gt. is that a bug? or does the crown only apply for one acc?
Well if this is the case it would really suck. For reasons I always purchase games with one account and play them on my main account. I am not asking for accessing content on all accounts, but at least give me the choice to decide which account to be ‘bound’.
