Just wondering if this is a bug or not but me and my brother gameshare on our xbox one consoles so we decided to split the cost of the ultimate edition so we could get the game with all the passes and vip membership. But we have noticed that the dlc content and vip membership is only working on my console and not the other. Forza is the only game that has this error as every other game etc is fine even EA Access membership works. Surely this is a bug ?
I have the same Issue, Split with someone and VIP is working for him but not for me on my Console, but it is definately installed and i even got the Cars that come with Vip Membership.
The same Issue remains with Forza 5, i got a Vip Membership installed but the Game won´t recognize it.
Unfortunately Turn10 does not have a Support, i tried to email them and all you get is an automated Message with redirects to this Forums.

I always thought the addons were tied to the LiveID and not the console.
Nope, they are not. Other Addon like the Car Pass works and it works with Addons for all other Games. Only the 2 Forza VIP-Memberships have a Problem.
Worst Thing about it is i cant obtain another VIP-Membership because it is already purchased & installed on my Console.
The other account you’re trying to get VIP on can purchase VIP again.

I’m not sure I’m reading this correctly but if you’re allowing someone to access your Xbox Live account on another console in order to share one account among multiple people, that’s the first problem. Account sharing is against the Xbox Live Terms of Use and Code of Conduct.
If you have two player profiles on the same console, you may find that the Home/purchaser profile has access to VIP DLC add-on cars and VIP benefits (crown, double credits) while the secondary profile can buy the VIP cars from the Autoshow but won’t get them for free, nor have VIP benefits. This would be by design because the car roster is game-wide content while benefits are specific to a gamesave, and only the purchaser gets those benefits. This would also affect the Car Pass and other DLC packs in the same way.
I believe what he’s saying is that he has purchased the VIP Pass, on his account, while over at a friend’s place on his friend’s console. When he returns home and installs the already purchased content on his home console, it does not give him, the purchaser, the benefits. In that case the VIP Pass should still be working as far as I understand it, I’m not sure why one account would purchase the VIP Pass and a second account would get all of the benefits; that’s the part that confuses me.
Please do not confuse this with Account Sharing! The Situation in my Household is that we have one Console which is Shared by 2 People/Accounts.
Usually the Content has only to be bought once by 1 Account and both Accounts on the Console are able to use it,same goes for the Xbox Live Gold Membership, its shared between all Users on the particular Console. This works with all other Titles and even the Forza Horizon 2 Car Pass, only the VIP Membership does not work (as for the Forza 5 VIP-Membership).
I am also having this problem.
What makes it much worse is that I can’t even buy VIP for my sons account. It’s 2 profiles on the same console. My acct is VIP. He or I can buy the car pass cars for free but he isn’t getting any advantages of VIP since my profile is the only one. When I click VIP from the options in the game it opens the Xbox store and it is says “purchased” so I can’t even purchase VIP for a second profile.

Having the same problem. And xbox started this whole game sharing thing because of PlayStation did it. I have both consoles, and both working very well with game sharing But only issues I have with it is on xbox. I believe turn 10 just don’t care honestly. It’ll never be fixed, so basically whoever can’t get the VIP is screwed…
VIP is locked to the account that purchased it. You can purchase a second VIP through xbox.com.
