Crash - Game crash when equipping saved tuning setups - 3890202

When I try to load my previously created tuning files my console is crashing. Everytime. What have you done!?

PS. Files from other users are corrupted as well. My God…

@WW_1978_POLAND or others affected by crashes specifically around equipping tuning setups - please provide details related to which cars you were using and which file you were equipping (was this only files you had saved yourself, or also downloaded files?)

The game crashed every time I try and add a saved tune to a car. Obviously a new feature in this update. I’m trying to clear all these black light and window cars.

Then there is the lack of space for the tunes. Who launches an open world game where you can paint and tune your car as you want, but not every car as there isn’t enough space. And it’s still not been fixed since 2018 ( or whenever FH4 was launched).

Series S

Loading tunes previously downloaded from others & tunes previously created by myself crashes the game back to the Xbox Home Screen. Tested with Lancer MR04, WRX 04 & 205 Rallye.

I saved my own tune on the 205 Rallye and that re-loaded fine.

I tried the files for Lamborghini Centenario and Acura Integra. The files were mine and two other tuners. They were stored localy on the Xbox. I have not tried freshly downloaded files.

I’m on XBOX Series X and tried approx. 20 different cars with ca. 25 downloaded tunes from other tuners, that are stored under “My Tuning Setups”.

Every time I try to load one, the game crashes without any feedback and sends me back to my XBOX dashboard.

The only thing that helps (that I found): delete the setup and download/install it again via “Find Setups”.

The sad thing is, some of the setups do not exist anymore. So far one exceptionally good one is now lost forever.

Remark: I only tried it for cars with black headlights and windshields.

PC, MS version here. My tunes are broken as well (MG6 TCR, Volvo 850R, Jeep CJ5, Wuling Sunshine, Ferrari F355 to name a few), and testing out this issue with a friend who’s on Xbox Series X, we noticed something: the rims aren’t being saved on the tunes.

I have an MG MG6 TCR that used the same unchanged S1 900 tune (which was broken as of latest update), so I saved the tune again and reset the car back to stock as a test. After applying the newly saved S1 900 tune, it asked me to install new parts, worth 3,700cr. This cost was the aftermarket rims, that I apparently didn’t own before, but I still had installed on my car.

Unfortunately, tunes that use stock rims still crash if you try to apply them. The tunes that I tried were all mine and private.

I found a game crashing bug in Series X. Here are steps.

  1. Get into a car where you have a tune applied
  2. Go to custom tuning (It will remove the applied tune) and do something.
  3. Go to My Tunes and try to load the saved tune - Game will crash!!!

I did this with mostly 3rd party tunes. Deleting the saved tune, and applying same tune from “Find Tunes” works.

Having this issue as well. I am playing on XSX. Every saved tune which I have (which are 95% my own) crashes the game to the home screen when I try to load them. Not too happy about that…

just started happening today after the update. i tried on other cars and it seems only the Mercury Cyclone Spoiler is affected for me.

it doesnt even let me click install, just viewing the tune overview when selecting it is enough to crash the game.

I can still upgrade and tune it normally, just trying to load one of my previous tunes breaks it. the old tune wasnt even turbocharged, so its not like the new antilag has anything to do with it.

I’m on a Win10 PC.

Im having the same issue. Its doing it on all cars basically because i tried a bunch of them. I hope this gets fixed pretty quick so i can actually have my tunes for the new expansion.

Exactly the same issue with saved Tunes for me on Series X.

Had a multiple issues after the update. 1st was I noticed the PI at the top of my screen next to player level was incorrect, it was showing the default PI, even selecting a race it would show up as default PI. This resolved when the game crashed after testing the load tune to see if it did crash for me.

Also removed the black window glitch on cars and had to buy parts again that I owned, even had to buy stock parts, most cars would end up costing 3400 Cr. No big deal credits wise as im on 995m and plenty of sold 20m cars un claimed.

Hoping this is fixed as im not deleting and re saving well over 100 tunes which are all shared and earn daily credits, i’ve got to legenardy tuner and painter status on these.

Since the latest update, I have been having issues with loading tunes in Horizon 5 - namely, every time I try and load a tune, the game crashes and I get kicked back to the Xbox home screen.

I first came across this issue shortly after downloading the latest anti-lag and rally parts update, which is needed to play the Rally Adventure expansion. As soon as I tried to load an A-class cross-country tune I’d created for the Hummer H1 Alpha, the game just crashed and kicked me back to the Xbox home screen.

I then tried again after restarting the game, but the game crashed again when I tried to load the tune again, when before this update, tunes I’d selected would load without issue.

Same here. I didn’t download anything, but I’m assuming it automatically downloaded, as I see the expansion icon on the main map now. But any time I try to load a tune to any car, it closes out the game and returns to the Xbox home page.

Also, my wheel doesn’t work any more. The feedback is super heavy, and even though I have the rotation set to 180 degrees, I can only turn it one or two degrees and am at maximum steering lock.

Game is totally unplayable. Great expansion I paid for. Thanks.

I thought I was the only one. I’m on PC

Got the update last night and when I tried to load a tune to my Evo X it crashed. I uninstalled, reinstalled and downloaded latest save, rebooted, the whole works. Spent like 90 minutes working on it.

Has anyone tried turning off Ray Tracing? One forum said that works

Seems like another broken update.

Same for me, noticed within minutes of starting game after update where I put race turbo with anti-lag on a TVR with V12, which took it from S1|900 to S2. Anti-lag on this car was horrible (and it can’t be applied within S1 anyway) so went to reinstall the original tune and crash. Tried with Ford Focus RS also for testing antilag and the HOONIGAN RS200. Fortunately I have these tunes in other identical cars so I was able to jump into those, re-save a fresh copy of the tunes then reinstall to the previously altered cars. Had I not had duplicates I’d have probably lost these tunes.

I’m not happy. Really not happy for yet again another game breaking bug has been introduced. I see on the Rally Adventure Exhibition edit: on the Leaderboard, which we can all view despite not being able to play the exhibition there were 984 players (staff, devs, “influencers”, community mods and RMs) who’ve all had early access so I wonder if instead of grinding the leaderboard to get to top 10 or making TikToks or YouTubes if they actually tested any of the new features and provided feedback?

Also, your antilag flames disappear after collisions, which, in Horizon Open, cannot be turned off so one bump and half the effects are gone. Lastly, on some bodykits (RocketBunny on the ugly S15 Silvia being one), the flames don’t appear on antilag at all. Who’s testing this game? (Rhetorical question, I know it’s us, the paying players.)

Are you Saying I may have lost some or all of my tunes forever??!!

NOT COOL MAN!

I am not because before it’s patched/Hotfixed none of us will know but it appears that for now, any old saved tunes pre-update (yesterday, Mar 28) are not able to be applied to cars without crashing the game on Xbox Series X (in my experience).

Same here really disappointing. They need to fix this ASAP.

I too am having this problem. Noticed it this morning while not realizing the expansion doesn’t go live till 2pm. Was playing around with the new upgrades and kept happening.

Seriously hope this gets fixed. Would be nice if it happened by launch time…
