Cant load saved tunes.

After the latest update auto installed last night I’m experiencing crashes every single time I try to load a tune.

I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, redownloaded latest Game save, Applied updates, nothing works

PC, Win 10, I try and apply any already-downloaded tune, the game crashes to desktop.

I can search for the same tune and (re-) apply it from the search screen, but any attempt to apply an existing tune crashes the game,

Also experiencing the same issue. Game crashes when trying to load a saved tune after the recent update. Submitted a ticket, but they marked the ticket as solved because it’s a known issue. I’ve tried to reboot and power cycle, and I’ve tried logging into different profiles but the same issue happens. Tried several different cars and tried tunes that I created as well as tunes that I downloaded from other creators. All result in the same issue, the game crashes and returns to Xbox home screen.

I haven’t had any crashes, but when I load a tuning setup, it no longer changes my car’s PI number.

For example, if I have a car that’s 632 PI stock, I search for tunes and buy/install one that’s 700 PI, it all appears to work, but the car still shows as being 632. It’s happening with every car and any tune I download/install.

I’m also on Xbox Series X, and I have the rally expansion installed.

No acknowledgement yet of this game-breaking issue and it’s over 24 hours since it was implemented. But hey, Rally Adventure is now live come and join the fun in sand town everyone. This game is dead. I used to think the amount of terrible coding was deliberate sabotage but after yesterday’s installment I am convinced it’s just incompetence all around.

Temporary fix: if your tuning files were public, you can download them from “Search For Tuning” tile.

Search Options → Browse by Author → Profit

If they were private… They are gone forever…

I am not able to load existing tunes saved weeks ago in the garages at either the Rally DLC or Mexico. I didn’t test Hot Wheels garage. Tested with Peugot 207 Super 2K, 73 Alpine and 73 BMW 2002 Turbo. Restarted PC and no change.

Same issue. I have hundreds of hours invested in this game making custom tunes. Please fix this Xbox. Thank you.

The work around for now is to buy the tune again and apply it that way. If you try to apply an existing tune you already own then the game will crash.

Today this happened to 1 of the new Car. I applied a DJS tune, and used it to win some races. Game even asked me if I LIKE the tune. But in the result screen and everywhere PI showing as stock. But in the car selection before the race it’s showing correctly…

Same thing happening for me. If I try to apply any saved tune from “My Tuning Setups”, the game crashes. I can download and apply tunes from “Find Tuning Setups”, but any previously saved tune crashes the game. Playing on Xbox Series X.

I have this problem also. I can’t load my own tune into the Hoonigan F150 or my tune for the 95 Porsche 911 GT2. Those the first two I tried. After reading this thread it’s obvious the changes today in the expansion completely broke the game. The expansion obviously wasn’t tested enough before release and we all have tunes that crash the game to the home screen as a result. It’s happening on console and PC, peoples own tunes and ones they have downloaded so it’s game wide.

Roll back the update and postpone your dlc since it broke the game. We shouldn’t have to wait a month like we did when the wide body kits broke a bunch of our liveries. Microsoft Studios needs to Fix it FIRST and then re-release it when it actually works without disabling tunes. This is like having a McDonald’s without fries on the menu, not getting what we came here for.

The worst bug is crashing when applying tunes. But who needs tunes anyway. Not like there’s a new expansion where we need to experiment with new tunes…
