could there ever possibly be motorcycles in the future of Forza Horizons?

Motorcycle racing… so similar yet so different. I could explain why but I get the feeling I’d just be repeating what you’ve already read in the other thread.

Pretty sure I’ve heard them talk bout this in an interview saying they goal is to make a car racing game, so anything with 4 wheels or more basically, but they’re not interested in implementing anything with less then that and I think it’s a great choice. They need to focus on the things that have always made Forza, Forza. Not to mention physics of bikes are a lot different as well as they’d have to provide a ton more animations and such, would take a lot of time.

To me it’s like requesting basketball on Fifa.

It’s a car game, so no, no hope of motorcycles thankfully. Not that I wouldn’t like an open world motorcycle game. The trouble is though that it’s difficult to tailor one set of physics to two completely different things. Car physics don’t work with a bike very well. Bike physics don’t work with cars very well. Test Drive Unlimited, whilst not the greatest handling game anyway demonstrates this. And if you’ve got the latest MotoGP 14 on PS4, well, you can take a BMW pace car around a track in that. And where the cars handling is concerned, guess what…

I’d be down with bikes, as long as cars and bikes only mix it up in free roam. Have separate race events for each.

Edit: There ARE 2-wheelers in the game! You can find scooters and vespas parked roadside for you to knock over. Look in the town.

I’d be okay with Bikes but as I’ve said they’re not ready for that. Turn 10 has a pretty high standard when it comes to things like physics, graphics, and detail and until they completely nail all of those for cars, then I don’t think we’ll see a bike anywhere. But once they do get the handling down pact for cars then I’d expect to see some bikes in the horizon series atleast or maybe even the motorsport series I mean it would be pretty damn fun to ride a harley or a crotch rocket on the nurburgring!

/\ This. I don’t understand all the hate for bikes on these forums anyways. I understand them wanting perfect physics and animations before they implemented bikes into a Forza game. However, i don’t get the “this is a car game” mentality. I mean, it’s called Forza Motorsport, not Forza car racing. I think bikes would be awesome, if done right.

Precisely my point. I expect them to add bikes one day but just not now, they’re not ready for it tbh, I would honestly love bikes but they do still need work on the car physics as well as modelling more cars and tracks… They have a lot of work ahead of them since they can’t use the models from the 360 forzas and they’re having to remake everything while adding new cars and tracks at the same time. Plus I do agree that they should definitely have races with just bikes and just cars, maybe have one or two hoppers with mix cause both cars and bikes do have advantages and disadvantages.

It sounds like many of you never played PGR4, an excellent game that mixes cars and bikes with no problem. In fact, there are a lot of similarities between the Horizon series and the PGR series. I don’t expect bikes in Horizon 2 but I wouldn’t rule them out in a future game, in fact I’d welcome them. Despite that, I never rode any of the bikes in PGR4; I’m a strictly car guy.

The mantra Turn 10 work 2 is ‘Gamers into car lovers and car lovers into gamers’. Notice anything missing from that? Like motorcycles?
Turn 10 work very hard at making the best physics engine for cars. They are not going to dilute that to add something that a smaller subset would like, at the expense of the larger fanbase. If you want bikes, play MotoGP, that’s what it’s for. Turn 10 do car games, that’s it.
I’m sure some of you won’t like that, or take this as a slight of some sort. But that’s just how it is. If they hired a whole new studio to make a bike game as they did for Horizon, then maybe I could see a bike game. But them adding bikes to an established game, not gonna happen. Even a spin-off bike game is unlikely as they’re all about cars, but it’s the likelier of the two.

Bikes are fun. Cruising around on a Harley in TDU2 was a lot of fun! I can imagine that cruising around on a bike in Horizon 2 will be even more fun

Here’s my view on this, for what it’s worth.

I ride motorcycles in real life. I drive cars in real life. I enjoy both.

Now that I cleared that up here’s my opinion: Yes I would like to see bikes in Forza, but I don’t think it’ll happen anytime soon or ever. Having the… now pay attention, option of bikes in Horizon games would be cool. But it’s not something I’ll be upset over if they never do it. Like people have said, their focus is on cars. I honestly don’t understand why people would be even remotely upset if bikes were there for people interested in using them. It makes no sense at all. But I don’t know how everyone is wired either.

So basically… bikes are cool and would be cool to have, likely won’t happen, and who cares if they do or don’t get added? Either way, I think the game will be a fun experience and I already have the Ultimate Edition pre-loaded.

Edit:
Also,
I would never play a game with only motorcycles. I would get bored very fast. I miss the ol’ TDU days. Good times!

Motorcycles? WHAT! No thanks.

Ya I’m waiting for them to add frogs to the game too!

Immature gamers would have a field day looking for anybody on two wheels, more than happy to wreck them.

No motorcycles.

Plenty of scooters though.

Nothing against motorcycles or fans of motorcycles … but I would much rather T10 put all the time and effort it would take to include motorcycles in the Forza series into improving what’s already here. There are many features and fixes that are discussed all over these forums that I’d rather them work on first.

This.

I agree 100%. Like I said, I love bikes, but there are more important things to worry about when it comes to improving the game. Implementing bike physics would take a very long time to do.
