Evan, he says it’s broken because he can’t see the cars a bit ahead of him due to the wheel being in the way…at least that’s how I took it.
I think it looks exactly as it would in real life driving that car but in real life we can move our head a little to see around the wheel in the game we can’t.
Have you driven this car in cockpit view? It’s not bad at all, it has just as much visibility as other vehicles and in my opinion the LMP cars are much worse for visibility.
It’s couldn’t be like that in real life. That you see below the steering wheel circuit? Yes, but not in you eyelines. So in that way wheel should be higher.
Wouldn’t even need 3". The focal point is the top of the steering wheel. Here’s driver geometry based on context lines in the image. Would only need about 1" difference in total height. Case closed.
What if the driver has no eyes? What’s then? Shorter driver can install smaller wheel, or put somehing below his ass. We are in video game, where we should driver tall enoght like real driver who can see something…
So you are telling me that Patrick could view above the wheel, because he is 5’2", but Forza driver is small and that’s ok that we see from short Forza driver kissing the steering wheel and not from Patrick eyes perpective? I don’t get it?
In an open wheel single seater the seat and pedal box are adjusted for drivers of differing height. The driver doesn’t tower above the car or disappear into the cockpit. The drivers position is critical to aero and his/her safety. The view is accurate although someone did mention that the hands look disproportionate.
