childish/cheating players need to be banned/suspended

There are childish/cheating players need to be banned for ruining racing. I play Forza because I can’t race in real life anymore, due to a wreak. I know rubbing happens in racing as well as crashing but, doing it on purpose IS CHEATING.

When I’m racing, and in end up in 1st place, out of a pack of 12, when racing in ‘online adventure’, there is always someone who gets a little mad, just because they aren’t in 1st or they lose, if I say “Let’s keep it clean”, which it never does, unless there is someone who is either a FH3 moderator or a dev.

If this doesn’t get some attention, it will get out of hand, as it always does, it happened in FH2, and STILL happens in FM6.

Racing isn’t the only problem. There are some days, when I get home from work, that I just want to meet new people. I like to go drifting in the Surfers Paradise parking lot, but recently when I go to a free roam session there will be these immature kids that just intentionally crash/wreak you into a wall. It happens when I’m either hosting a car show, or just wanting to chill out and drift. They use the Gurkha mainly, or some truck big. They seem to have no idea how annoying that is, these childish players need to be suspended.

I know someone, is going to say “just join a new session”. I do, if it continues to happen for a little bit and guess what…

…the same thing is happening in almost every session I join, most of the time, in the NEW one.

I know some people say it is not racing but if I am finding it difficult to find clean racing I just go custom, no collisions, S1. Always seems to be people playing that and its stress free.

Report intentional wreckers through their gamertag according to official Xbox instructions:
https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US/home/howTo#sub-topic0-0

For meeting new people you might try looking at the Racers lounge or Club lounge forums, or use the Looking For Group feature on Xbox Live and in the Xbox app.

I will definitely check that out, and add “intentional wreckers” to that part of the forum.

You can always report them
There is an option to do that
Unsportsmanlike behaviour

I report them immediately , but it seems like if one person reports them, it won’t take effect. I’ve found the same player(s) that I’ve reported, after a few days or a week.

That is not correct.

1 report is enough but the XBLPET needs to be able to find evidence of the wrongdoing.

It is NOT the case that multiple reports makes any difference. What does is there be evidence the PET can find of bannable behavior.

Problem is from what I have seen the XBLPET do not view this behavior as bannable no matter what is said here. The bans here are from Forza only and I have only seen that for FM games not FH games.

A forza ban is not from reporting using the xbox features but by providing evidence to Turn 10.

There’s no way to send a short clip of their actions, along with the report.

Oh look, we’ve been sucked into yet another loophole.

The logical “most efficient” way of dealing with wreckers is to have mods active 24/7, patrolling each server all day every day. Even if the jobs were outsourced, it still would not be efficient. Plus I’d hope no one wants to spend hours and hours every day on any game just moderating the whole time. I don’t know what XBLPET is but I’m assuming it’s a subdivision of some larger division of “customer care”. Who’s to say I could falsely report someone with evidence that is not mine, or worse just completely phony? It’s been happening since report systems existed and some people do get banned for allegedly no reason. The chance that it will happen with this scenario is no lower than the chance it’s happened during this past decade. Thus, it’s unlikely any serious changes will be put into action.

Capt, I can see why you’re posting these. Both because you’re fed up with everything, basically the entire game, and (I hope) you have the mindset that you won’t be the only person to post long threads like this. But it’s going to take a large portion of if not the entire Forza community to push fixes like these along with countless other ones that have essentially never been publicly discussed by anyone except us users. (Word from devs is nonexistent and I recall PC (and Xbox) players not getting detailed patch notes when an update was released. Take that into mind.)

I am absolutely baffled that people do not know how the Xbox Live Policy Enforcement Team (XBLPET) operates.

1 report NOT many is all it takes for the XBLPET to investigate.

False reports do nothing but risk you being banned for putting in the false report. They do not rely on phony evidence because they generally find the evidence themselves not some photoshopped photo or edited video you have almost no way of providing them. They do not ban based on number of reports but simply on proven behavior that goes against the code of conduct.

The risk of false bans from XBLPET is very low because of how they go about evidence collection.

The main issue is “Does crashing actually break the xbox live code of conduct?”. If so then many players would get xbox live bans not just specific game bans. I have never seen any xbox live bans for crashing.

Yep you can just make a game clip just after it happens, then log on to PC and launch Xbox app go to your uploaded game clips and screen shots, you will find an option to save to your computer. It is in the section where it will say in meny show on computer and show on xbox live. You may need to go to your profile on Xbox sellect manage captures and make sure captures are upload to Xbox live.

Once you have saved to your PC you can just attach the clip to email.

You cant fix stupid
And you can never completely eliminate these morons that just want to annoy everyone else from any game

There is an option called private freeroam

I’ve given up on all the online racing with collisions on and only do it when I have too in order to get an achievement. In fact, Horizon 3 I don’t even bother to try and race anymore. I just drift in last place, accumulate as much XP as I can and stay out of harm’s way when I have to race for an achievement.

I used to work in the video game industry and have helped design anti-cheating systems. Turn 10/Playground Games could eliminate the cheating with the telemetry they have using a machine learning system, however it would cost money in regard to software development and I suspect they’d rather work on new features.

I just hope that they read these threads and somehow it sparks a call to action within their development team. I did get invited to participate in a private survey with Microsoft regarding the online gameplay about a year ago and I made it clear that cheating has ruined online racing for me which was the area of questioning. I hope that the survey was for what they are working on in the next game.

To be fair, I don’t take Horizon Multiplayer seriously anyway. It’s not meant to be Motorsport, so I am more tolerant of collisions online.

Also, outside of Checkpoints there are no “rules” for Online Adventure racing in this game so proclaiming about how people “should” race is somewhat irrelevant. Forza Motorsport titles are meant to have some form of relation to real-life motorsport so there is a greater expectation of sportsmanlike behaviour.

It also helps that cars can actually take a hit in this game whereas the slightest tap in Forza Motorsport 6 will send a car spinning.

I always always report anyone I see wrecking or crashing into people on purpose whilst online. The last example of this was 3 members of the same club all driving HE Ram Runners driving around the map bullying and pushing and slamming into cars in freeroam.

There may be “no rules” in Forza Horizon, but fair play and sportsmanlike conduct is expect on Xbox Live. Those of intentionally crash others, disrupt the normal play of the game with their behavior deserve to be reported to the Xbox Live Policy Enforcement Team (PET) and punished for their disruptions:

Capt Horsepower, Have you joined a club that promotes clean driving and racing. I too have had the same problems as you, immature kids or adults that corner bomb or wall ride just to try to win. That to me is not racing. I am in a small club (20 members) that we try to drive clean and drive together every day to have fun. I experience that if you have 4 or 5 club members in a room and someone is crashing or being an idiot it is often enough to inform said crasher that our club members are more than willing to drive the same way he is if that is how he or she wants to play the game. 9 times out of 10 said crasher either cleans up his act or he leaves the room. If you are a clean racer look me up by my gamer tag, I am on most days and so is our club leader. It is by invite only but if you like to race with mature adults that try to race clean and have good conversation look me up.
