Being on a Leaderboard can give a sense of achievement…I’m not the fastest driver by any means but I had a few Top 10 Rivals times in FH4 which, for me, was an achievement, especially given I run automatic gears and buttons for brake and accelerate…I even had a Top 3 time on a Fortune Island event. A lot of people aren’t bothered by Leaderboard such as yourself but, for some of us, we like to see where we stack up.
As to crying over some leaderboards: Granted, things like the abysmal state of the servers is much more important. However, the Leaderboards are a perfect example of why the game doesn’t have any Enforcement Rules except in name…which is a big issue for those who race online as we are basically being told we can do whatever we like without punishment and is inviting hackers in. If you are fine with that, then fair enough…but, personally, I’d like to see someone enforcing the rules rather than just pretending they don’t exist
Racing is competitive, leaderboards are a staple of racing games. Granted it’s more meaningful in terms of lap times than it is on PR stunts.
The term ‘devs’ in the context we’re talking about is generally used to mean Playground Games as a company, you’re taking it out of context. If people blame ‘the devs’ for something, they aren’t literally blaming people who may be employees or contractors of the company, even though they are also ‘devs’.
This… trying to beat a legitimate time on a race or anything else is a challenge. It’s not a big deal but it would be a nice thing to have a list of clean times for an event to see if you beat it.

In fact, pretty much everyone doing less than 55 seconds in leaderboard should be suspicious ^^ !
Started doing rivals aswell today and got a rival on Descansar Dorado Sprint with a time of 39 seconds
Problem is you can get accolades for setting a time agains a rival in the 5% top times and if more of these people are allowed to lap these kinda times hard to get it i suppose
Runway danger sign is wet seasons PR stunt, out of curiosity i looked at the longest jump, seems that is atm 12km
Mostly i dont care about those things, but with accolades hope it wont block certain rewards for players
