They aren’t connecting together, Hakone pass is based off of “ Odakyu Railway” different location than fujimi even tho they are all close together even in real life :). Fujimi will be its own thing. Plus fujimi road goes to the right and Hakone pass goes to the left
Thank you for adding the track I’ve probably spend the most time racing on in previous Forza games. And I’m not a drifter!
I would bet money that it will. You don’t build that much of the surrounding areas (of Hakone) if you don’t plan on using it. It’s a waste of time and effort otherwise. Plus Hakone has pits than can be used for races. As for the discrepancies it could be a simple as T10 not wanting to give it away too much by making those roads different. It’s not like they couldn’t just redesign what’s there for it to work. We’ll know for sure in a bit over a month.
Add more Real tracks, like F1 tracks and MotoGP tracks
“The mountain in the distance “ is Fuji-San.
It is one of the most iconic images of Japan.
It is very distinct.
For reference, the area and town of Hakone is south of Mount Fuji.
The area of Fujimi is north of Mount Fuji.
So unlikely to connect.
Fuji Speedway is also actually between the two
Would make for a dream Horizon map, but Japan is 73% mountains anyway and driving anywhere outside of the cities is immensely fun.
Use the Suggestions Hub > Track Voting - FM for that.
I hope they still have the tunnels and the cars sound appropriate when driving/racing through them
I dont think this track at this point in time is going to do much. Its mainly a drift track, so its a win for the drifters, but going by the popularity of the drift update and drift rivals numbers, i dont know how many of them are left.
While the course can be raced on, its not particularly good for racing. We also dont know if there is going to be a pit lane, theres also a high probability it wont be in the multiplayer rotation. So this isnt great for people who like to race.
The uphill and downhill point to point tracks were popular in rivals, but they were not mentioned in turn 10s statement which means theyre probably not going to be in the game. So this isnt great for time attack fans.
Lastly, one of the biggest things that made this track popular was the fact past games had searchable user created public lobbies, this game does not.
I know a lot of people like to mention this track as one they wanted to make a return, but i think once the rose tinted glasses come off, its not going to be the same experience they had in the past.
For a tougé track which is last seen in FM1, FM3 and FM4, this is a W return! I think this will look rebuilt from the ground up, more or less. Because somebody might observe and see if it’s an “upscaled track” from a previous title…
I think FM seems to do some decent things now, like the way they add cars lately compared to before on its first year cycle. Well, not everything is great because some of the game’s imperfections I’ve seen before, still exists. So I ain’t commending them, and I ain’t gonna praise too much about the game’s current state because as a matter of fact, it’s still far from “good”. Unless you have your opinion to express that you like it because it’s a better game for you. I won’t disagree with your opinion, as long as you know the facts & issues behind this game.
Here are the imperfections of the game I witnessed back then:
- FOMO Career
- Inaccurate car models
- Inaccurate car sounds
- Generally, tons of bugs/issues addressed here in the forums
All T10 needs doing is fix a ton of issues alongside adding stuff, which is quite a long process since the game’s release.
Fixes should be constant because idk why some people are so quick to forget about FM’s issues from the past year. I’m sorry but not sorry, but:
More content ≠ better game
As long as the game doesn’t have any major issues at launch, and falsely advertising the game to the entire playerbase.
Yep, I can let anyone still say whatever negative things they want about this game, I understand some of its negativities still remain.
Great news.
I hope this announcement brings back the lost community to the game. It’s probably the last bullet of the saga, so it’s a great movement, but also it definitely needs some return.
Now also take care of some of the most requested features in the wishlist (qualifying sessions everywhere, statistics) and the game will be near to the perfect Forza.
Great job T10.
Because grinding points solo is not fun. It’s completely past the point of what drifting is about. Especially with no drift zones. Drift mode was supposed to be main aspect of that update but it was the worst. The only good thing related to drift was drift camera.
What I’m saying is that checking rivals playerbase is not a good way to judge the drift community, most of which is gone or doesn’t drift in FM because it’s not a good platform right now. With the release of that track and hopefully public lobbies and maybe some new QoL things, many people will return to the game or start drifting again. And it’s unlimited fun basically, also in meetup lobbies you wouldn’t have to wait 20 minutes to enjoy (or not) the game.
T10 would have to try really hard for this update to be a flop. A lot of the negativity in your post is uncalled for:
- Public lobbies - they said meet ups will return at some point, which in my opinion is better
- “Bad for time attack players” - what? Why is circuit layout bad for time attack?
- “bad for people who like to race” - I like to race and I’m hyped.
- Pit lane - as you said, we don’t know. And there will most likely be one, it’s not like they aren’t allowed to make one
Forza’s official French profile responded to a comment suggesting that there is a possibility that it is linked to Hakone
Of course, anything is possible.
And if that’s what the majority of people want, then I hope it happens.
I will be very pleased either way.
It will have to have a pit lane, there’s no tracks in FM23 without one, and there’s been a few FM7 tracks that have gone missing entirely for that reason.
As for a Hakone connection, people have found the Hakone Pass track ribbon in the game files, it’s similar in vibes to the lost extension that Lime Rock was supposed to receive IRL. Doesn’t mean that T10 couldn’t graft Fujimi on in it’s place, but it would be a waste of the existing work on Hakone Pass and it would ultimately lead to one less available track if everything was to get a public release.
Good things do come provided you wait long enough, lol.
This and Camino (all layouts) along with Positano (long version) and some of the others would be the cherry on top.
They also shared a picture of Peugeot 9X8 and then deleted that picture immediately.
Isnt that an old post? I remember sometime last year around this time I believe when something like this was posted under T10 and it was deleted.
Yes. It’s an old post.
Looking forward to solo test driving on this track!
