The game was redeemed and is linked to my account and does show up in My Library and on my XBOX One. But there is no download icon beside it, in the My Library listing. And when I click Forza Motorsport 7 Ultimate in My Library I get this message " The thing you’re looking for isn’t here. We probably don’t have it, but just in case, try searching for it" the code it gives is 0x00000005 and CV: WBvetdX22U2S0T6C . I look under Purchased in the drop down menu in the store and it shows up and has a button to install it, but all it does is give you your game key. I went to the games store page where usually you get an Install button to click, but all it has is a Buy button. The DLC that comes with the Ultimate edition shows up with download icons beside each one, so I don’t know what the problem is. I have read about people having problems with pre-loading the game, but I can’t even get it to download at all on PC. Can download and play on my XBOX One, but my PC is way more powerful than the XBOX One.

Thanks but no go. Still no dl icon beside game name in My Library. And still has a buy button on game page, even though all dlc says owned beside them.
I have the exact same issue.
I’ve even been on to microsoft support and they have no idea how to solve the issue.
I’ve tried WSReset, signing in and out of xbox live, rebooting PC, rebooting my entire network, clearing caches, checking services are running (and correctly).
I’m completely out of ideas…
I’m almost 100% positive I’ve just solved the issue - you need the creators update.
First try to sign out of the windows store, and sign back in.
What if you type “forza motorsport 7” at the top search bar in the windows store, it should give you a list of all forza7 editions, try them 1 by 1.
There are 4 in total : try them all and see which one has a “install” button

“Forza Motorsport 7 : Standard Edition”
“Forza Motorsport 7 : Deluxe Edition”
“Forza Motorsport 7 : Ultimate Edition”
No dice, I did the search and all have buy buttons. I went to the store on my Xbox as well, and even though the game is installed on the hard drive, it still says to buy the ultimate edition. If I go to the Forza game itself in the Xbox store, it shows that it is installed. When I go to the Windows store and do the same thing it all it says is that this game is part of a bundle.
when you said “The game was redeemed and is linked to my account” , did you go in windows store and select the “…” button at top right - redeem a code? (your game key)
you could try to create a new user-account in Windows, sign in to the store in that new account and see if it works then. otherwise maybe something is wrong with your payment or account its linked to.

Maybe try redeeming it again, otherwise i have no clue to be honest. Either Windows10 has some weird corruption, or contact microsoft to let them check this issue.
I tried redeeming a few times and it says it already is. So thanks for your suggestions, going to have to contac them about then
I have had a very similar issue where downloading it wouldn’t work, it would download a DLC (hooligan pack) and another version of Forza 7 which they all error.
the way i found that works is to close store and reinstall on another HDD.

I know it’s a terrible solution, but to rule out it’s a “Windows10 corruption” problem, try a clean reinstall of Windows10.
One thing I just noticed is that the version of FM7 Ultimate I bought, was $30 cheaper than the one that is currently available on the Canadian Windows/Xbox Store. It also does not include the Hoonigan car pack either. I pre-ordered my game June 12th, and the listing said it was a play anywhere title. So I wonder since MS changed the contents of the Ultimate edition to include the Hoonigan pack, my version does not exist anymore in the store? I checked the invoice email and my account online and I was charged $99 CDN plus tax. The American store has the game listed for $99 for FM7 Ultimate, I changed my region to the United States to see if somehow I bought an American only edition or it got redeemed to the American store. But I still could not download it. There was also a new store update downloaded today as well version 11708.101.26.0 . Now I really don’t want to redo my Windows install, as my internet is super slow to redownload everything again, at least steam I can back things up to another drive, but not games from the Windows store…
I had same issue …bought pre-order digital and could not find a download button or dialogue anywhere upon release.
After several hours of bangin my head on the desk and chatting with MS suppport …one of the techs there asked if I had the X-Box App for Win10.
uhh … no. No X-Box App on my machine.
Did a search, found it, installed it, voila …there was an install button beside the game listed in ‘my games’
Perhaps this will help. Got the monkey off my back
