I play F4, F5, and FH2. My son has a separate account and he plays F4, F5 and FH2. However, when I downloaded the free cars for each game, I got them but when he uses his account it says it has been installed and he has to pay credits for them.
So doesn’t he get the free cars too? It’s not the same person playing.
That’s exactly the way it should be, so it’s working fine.
Account who bought = Free cars
Second account = pays for cars
Remember that monthly credit rewards could be spent on theses cars so in other terms get them for free. To get rewards click the rewards tab up top and redeem them
Well screw that. If you’re giving the cars away for free to one person why should another have to pay for them just because we only have one machine in the house. So what happens to the rewards he has earned? Does he get those to or are they lost or credited to my account? He cashed in his rewards for $300,000 and still hasn’t got them yet.
I went and bought a Xbox One and a used 360 with the intention of playing the Forza series. I had seen it during my Gran Turismo days and looked great. It’s not the only game I intended to play on it, but it was a main reason I bought them. I absolutely love the selection of cars and the inclusion of a wide variety of muscle cars thrills me to no end. I must say that while the graphics and dynamics are superior, the attitude towards your players by forcing them to buy the same cars over and over again with each release, this crap with one player per console, having to re-create the decals and paints I design with every version, and several other factors has really soured me on the series. I REALLY love your paint booth.
Seems to me you’re making this a bigger deal than it really is, honestly you should be greatful to even have access to the DLC cars on the second account. Just grind a few races and then buy the cars and there you go problem solved or just play on the account that has access to the cars for free.

Well, no one said they had to give you free access to the cars in the game. Seems you can’t always please everyone.
You should be happy that both accounts can use the DLC even though only one purchased it. Isn’t that nice? I fail to see why the person who did not buy the DLC should get it for free. You bought it, you get the car for free one time, and then you pay for it with FREDITS like every other car. Your sons account didn’t buy the DLC and still gets to use it after purchasing with FREDITS.
With the exception of the Porsche Expansion pack, you can buy every car except one in most of the DLC for just a couple thousand. That means that for 6 Bounty challenge head to head races you can buy the entire DLC pack and have spent maybe 6 minutes playing the game.
Isn’t that what it’s about though? Having fun playing the game and earning the cars? IF that’s a problem you can always buy tokens and use those to purchase the cars.
As for the comparisons between GT and FM, sure somewhat, but I think you’re making a big deal out of it. All games are like that when the new one comes out, be it Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport or Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed, Battlefield, any EA sports title mind you… you buy the new version of the game with real money and have to pay in game money (sometimes real money looking at you EA) to use the same players, weapons, cars etc…
Look, if you’re going to give the cars away free in the first place, why do you care who downloads them. My son is playing a totally separate game than I am, on a totally separate account but you feel the need for him to be at a disadvantage because we happen to be playing on the same machine.

I say quit the whining and appreciate how lucky you are to not have to buy DLC twice.
Used to be that all users had to use credits to buy the cars in game - as others have said it isn’t a big things and most cars can be bought with minimal credits in game. Play the game and enjoy it.
