Can you name anything in Forza 7 that is better than Forza 6?

I dont know about split screen, but for me, both Forza 6 and 7 have similar loading times with small variations between the track and the amount of cars. The biggest difference is the WAIT times in online lobbies.
Forza 7 is way quicker than 6 in that regard.

Personally, I love that are no physic-related cards in the game. I found it funny how 7 initially received a lot of backlash about the cards and crate system, but 6 is way worse, feeling like a mobile game. Yes, the prize cash of 7 was incredibly small (but even then not that much because cars were not as “expensive”), but at the same time, gaining cash is more rewarding than 6 which spits money for everything you do in the game and you could purchase upgrades for cars (a.k.a. grip cards, brake cards and such) with real money. Both cards system you can ignore, but I think 7 is easier to ignore after playing for a while when you get a good amount of money which is not particularly difficult to do if you play a little bit longer rances than the default setting, but you always want to 100% complete the carreer mode and the physics cards are extremely helpful to the point of ignoring them is just a matter of personal achievement like playing games on an emulator without savestates.

Holy thread resurrection there Baatman

Career mode, weather system, free play mode, physics, etc. Only thing 6 had was a better, non rushed launch for the title which meant a lot less bugs to work out. 6 also, only had 1 year of dedicated support. 7 has a lot more support from T10 and is a long way ahead of what it was when released. In all, T10 seems to be heading in the right direction.

What’s better with Forza 7 vs 6? I would say pretty much everything. FFB is vastly superior. Graphics esp on PC are outstanding. I honestly can’t think of any real complaints with this game. It has setting to allow casual player to play and have fun or you can turn up the difficultly if needed. They are also clearly making steps to introduce features for more serious racers like the regulations etc. Game just keeps getting better and for me is the only racing game I play outside of Forza Horizon 3 and 4.

The biggest thing of all would be the car roster. They retained about 80 percent of the cars from 6 going into 7 then added nearly 200 more and it’s all kinds of vehicles to play with in all divisions. One of the best rosters this generation

I can certainly list things that are better than Forza Motorsport 6:

The Force Feedback for wheels.
The weather systems such as dynamic rain, night & day.
The rain physics, especially the puddles.
Painting in general but mostly the livery editor.
Auction House.
Graphics, namely the lighting & effect in rainy conditions but also the lighting in general & the 4K with HDR support.
Transmission sounds, especially on race cars.
A lot of car sounds have been improved.
Better effect sounds, like the thud effect when the car bottoms out, transmission whine like I already said, thunder & lightning being another.
More cars & tacks in general.
More customization for cars like wide-bodies .
Drag racing, such as the Experimental Drag Feature.
Even in it’s infancy, Forza Race Regulations is something Forza Motorsport 6 never had.
Career mode (though let’s be honest, beating Forza Motorsport 6’s career mode is like beating your 6 year old in a 100m sprint. It’s not exactly an accomplishment).
Physics in general were improved tremendously, mainly the suspension & tyre model.
Post game support & communication from the developers has been improved so drastically that the shock almost killed me.
Forzathon
Homologation
Better Collisions & more assists in general.

That’s all I can remember for now & I’ll probably add to it when I think of some more things, however, let’s not forget why this thread was started in the first place. Even though Forza Motorsport 7 has improved in almost every aspect over Forza 6, it launched horrendously. It was buggy, broken, rushed, under-developed & under-cooked, with missing features, broken promises, poor leadership, turns in the wrong direction, miscommunication between what the fans & community wanted & what Turn 10 thought we asked for or thought what was best & absolutely no communication from Turn 10 until things turned south & so many more reasons. What frustrates me & I’d assume a lot of other fans who are here on the forums, is it’s taken a year & a half of post game support to get to this point. If the game was delayed or postponed even for a few more months, it would’ve been received so much more favorably by the fans & community. If it launched in the state it’s in now, I’d have no hesitation in saying it would’ve been the best Forza title there ever has been, surpassing my personal favorites like Forza Motorsport 2 & 3 but sadly it did not. Most of the frustration simply comes from us not wanting a repeat for future Forza Motorsport titles. To end on a high note however, I must credit how Turn 10 have changed themselves since Forza Motorsport 6 & more importantly, the launch of the 7th iteration. The communication has been fantastic, the transparency has been vastly improved & the post-game support is the best we’ve ever seen for a Forza game, Horizon included. So I will commend them on that. Hopefully a new leaf has been turned for the team, community & franchise as a full.

Wow - the negativity around this game despite all the slow improvements they’ve been adding over the months.

Okay, physics, graphics and gameplay is better IMO. But I’d have to give it to FM6 for car sounds.

Enjoy the game people! If the car sound fixes keep coming, this game can be the ultimate successor to FM4. The latter, I hear is their best work ever. Any chance of getting that as a One-X Enhanced title? Meh, wishful thinking.

Personally I prefer the sounds in general in Forza Motorsport 7 to 6, especially those that have been updated. I found FM6’s sounds to be a bit too artificial, more so lacking in general depth & detail, though I did prefer the tone & general to Forza Motorsport 7. Actually if I’m being honest, I don’t think Forza Motorsport 5 gets the credit it deserves for its sound design, especially when it comes to the environmental effects like rumble strips, echo bouncing off walls & in tunnels, reverb in general, track noises & especially the wind noise.

Edit: Nvm

In a few years I believe the same people who complain about FM7 will nostalgically fawn over it!
"FM7 had a much better car collection, which covered the history of motor sports, use to love free play with all those cars to choose from… "

As a die hard SIM racer who always uses a wheel EVERYTHING is better now that it is mostly fixed! I have no reason to ever go back to 6.

But forza is not even close to a sim.

I disagree. I use a drivehub with a Fanatec Porsche Turbo S wheel with Clubsport pedals and the force feedback is better than the badly broken Assetto Crapo and equal to PC2 now that I have the wheel correctly set up. I am an endurance racer and a short race is 20 laps with the AI set on unbeatable. The AI Is much improved as are the tire physics and when using homologation the racing can be quite close. I only hope for a tougher AI that is impossible. I’m 70 years young and have spent many years racing REAL cars and NO SIM is anywhere near it but the mass selection of race cars in Forza is unmatched by any sim and most of them are pretty good. Yes check the leader boards and I’m still quite competitive especially at Le Mans. Once Turn 10 gets the penalty system worked out I’ll be looking for Forza 8 on the next Xbox generation!

Lol, alright whatever you say hahahahahahahahahaha.

Could you be any less rude?

Actually, I’d agree with Mad Dog on half his post. I personally prefer the Forca Feedback to Project Cars 2, however, I do love the Assetto model for the wheel. Forza isn’t quite there yet. Either way show a little more respect. You’ve made two snarky post regarding his opinions. If you disagree with them (which you are 100% entitled to do so) at least reply with some shred of manners & decency.

Hi,

Perhaps we can do away with comments like these on the forum as everyone plays the Forza games for different reasons. Show respect and courtesy and you shall receive the same.

And in overall aspect fm7 is in every single way better than fm6.
And yes on regular xbox, 7 is downgraded cause this console is too weak for it already, thats why it was introduced with one x because it needs more power, and even beter on pc.

The only thing i miss from FM6 is just the soundtrack…

Good soundtrack indeed! Well, great car sounds as well and consistent lighting.

But Fm7 has it beat in physics and especially cockpit camera movement, that I love.

Driver gear is a waste of space IMO - wish they had used resources and energy on getting car sounds right or optimizing the game better for both HDR and SDR displays.
