Best car for farming skill perk points

I’m trying to maximize my free room hooning time to get tons of perk points to upgrade lots of cars. Possibly for better sale prices on the auction house but also just because it’s enjoyable and I have a lot of cars I would like to upgrade and drive.

I was wondering what everybody’s been using to get high skill scores quickly to add perk points. I’ve been using the Ford Escort RS Turbo. Once you have it decked out with some good power and a bunch of perk points I seem like I can hit the 500,000 10 point cap in 3 to 4 minutes in the right area. Wondering if anybody has had even and faster results with another car.

By the way if that sound pretty good to you and you would like to try it, my tune is available online. Look up my gamertag and the tune, it’s the s922 one that says “Rally Tune”. Then make sure you unlock all the perks that have anything to do with adding skill score bonuses.

I’m not sure, I haven’t seen the perks analysed but a car like the T16 or Renault 5 FE both have a boost to all skills rather than specific skills.

I don’t think I’ve seen it mentioned yet in this thread, but the Peel 50 with maxed mastery points (8X multiplier builds at 3X speed) with a A class tune by Stevio2175 is what I use at the beach drag strip. By drifting, cutting through the ribbon tapes in a zig zag, you only need a little over 61K points. I usually level up when I spend 30 minutes or so (both influence and skills level).

I get more than enough skill points racing the Goliath in my X-class Senna. Ultimate Speed chains all race long, with the odd bit of wreckage thrown in to boost the numbers (road signs, bollards, that sort of thing). When I’m not road racing I also do a bit of drifting in the drift zones for practise which add a few more.

I can’t wait to unlock the Goliath. That was definitely the farming King on the previous version. Have you found the Senna to be the fastest car around the track. Have you tested it with any of the other really high-end Top Speed cars like the Agera RS etc. The Agera has an ultimate speed boost of 40% as one of its masteries on the perk tree. If it’s faster than the Senna or close in time I would think that bonus would really add up, and possibly be a better option.

I can’t give a definitive answer because I’ve only done it in the Senna and the Aventador FE (3 laps in an FE car for the cheevo). But the Senna handles amazingly and I could drive the laps far more smoothly and with far less thought than in the Aventador, which really required my attention. Both tuned, I’ve lapped the Goliath in 8:25 in the Senna, but the faster Aventador only 9:20 as a best lap because it doesn’t grip anywhere near as well at speed.

Ford Hoonigan 500,000cr car. Best one out there. Slap on a drift tune and go to air strip /drag track or complete all drift. You will tons of Perks in no time.
Pagani Zonda R Forza Edition. X class tune drive up and down the highway easy 5 perks one way.
Goliath 5 lap race will give 90-100 perks with 530cr and 155k influence using Zonda R

So when you’re in free roam there’s a Max number of perks that you can get of 10 in any one skill chain. Which equals out to the 500,000 skill score chain. Anything over that is still capped at 10 perk points. Are you saying in the Goliath race you can get 90-100 perk points because it’s not free roam and it totals them up at the end? If that’s the case, wow that is just terrific. Can’t wait to get Goliath.

You can run Goliath in S2 without unlocking it. In the rivals section under road racing there are 2 Goliath races. One in Ferrari P4 and the other is just S2 class I think. Best car so far for me is the Zonda Cinque Roadster. Lots of credits / skill points etc just for running rivals. My Zonda C tune is shared. I think my best time is about an 8.35 in S2 Zonda C with a couple of rewinds!!

Goliath is unlocked at road race level 20.

The hoonigan Ford can rack up the points real quick! especially after spending some skill points on it and unlocking perks. It is super fun to use in the Forzathon Live events for that very reason.

It’s mostly based on preference. You don’t really need a car with the faster raising multiplier, because by the time you get to a 6x multiplier you will still be a long way from the 85k points you need for max skill points (10). I like to do destruction skills and jumps, so the Land Rover series III FE is my car of choice. Takes a while to get the multiplier to 6, but it creates big chains fast. And you can do it where no AI bothers you, at the beach. It’s really hard to have a skill chain time out as well, because there is a fence every five feet.

Yeah nice choice location. I found myself on the beach really racking up skill points quickly as well. You just have to be a bit careful if you get your speed up too much with certain vehicles some of those little mounds will flip you over end-to-end which automatically makes you lose your skill boost even if you have the double Collision protection perk.

Wait, there’s a cap on skill points per banking?

Yep. 10 max, so you might as well stop completely when you hit the required amount of points and wait for the game to “bank” it in case you make a mistake and crash to lose it all.

Another vote for the Hoonigan RS Focus, fully upgrade the perks and go to the quarry, I was getting the max 500k score in less than two minutes with all the sliding, jumps and fences.

Holy cow hitting the cap in 2 minutes that pretty Epic. I’m farming the skill points because I now have close to 250 cars and I’m trying to get all the free wheel spins out of their perk trees and a lot have some on the 3rd or 4th row which gets a bit pricey. Cutting my 10 point cap from 5 minutes down to 2 is going to be a big Time Saver until I unlock Goliath. Fact that might even be quicker than running the Goliath although you get a lot of extra great things like credits and influence from that as well.

Make that another vote for the Hoonigan Focus - just got one from a wheelspin and went on to do a 1.95m run in the quarry.

It has a skill that increases your multiplier up to x7 as well as others that increase the rewards for drifting, air, sideswipe, combos, triple speed multiplier - they just keep stacking up in a car that already has very good power to weight ratio, AWD and is easy to control.

It also took me until last night to look up skill songs (as this car has a mastery related that mentioned them) to find they do still existing in FH4 - you just need to buy the right house, which is in woodland east of the quarry. That will let your multiplier go up to x10 - slightly annoying that it is only double a normal car when you can be in a car with a x6 or x7 and still only x10, but its still a nice increase. As I set my record on only x7 I will now have to go back and beat it again

Skill point rewards now cap at 10, which I think is 500k banked skill chain. Anything above that is just for fun.

I really should use the skill songs brcause I know you can bump it up to 10x. But I absolutely can’t listen to any music while I’m racing. I have my 7.1 surround sound and racing chair with a butt kicker on a volume that makes my wife run to the other house. I have to hear those engines roar. Cheesy background music is garbage to me. So I guess I’ll just have to stay at 7x LOL.

Go to audio settings and turn down the radio volume. You’ll see the skill songs pop up on HUD with out having to hear the music

On PC you can only turn down the music down to 1 and you can still hear it.
