My B class Country Squire I built for a race series is pretty quick around Long Beach.Running 1:30 with probably a little bit more in reserve if needed.
Despite the stats,it’s actually pretty easy to drive.
Look up my name to find the tune and see how you go in it.
Really no such thing as “the best” all cars have there strenghts n weaknesses, its just about what you perfer more, power or handling? Control or numbers?
Running about 228bhp so it’s a little lacking on the straights but round the corners; it’s like a go kart.
E46 M3 couldn’t get away around silverstone and in fact he was slowing me down on the bends until it got to the main straight and he started to walk away.
Just build what you want, learn to tune, and run what ever you want. I’m so tired of seeing 2 or 3 original thoughts surrounded by a sea of LB cars with LB tunes…that’s just boring.
This a million times. What is the point of 450+ cars if everybody uses the same 5 cars to race?
I have a 1987 Firebird with an AWD conversion and I love racing with it. It’s not very fast on the straights, but it hugs the corners, which is pretty much the opposite of what people expect when they see it barreling down the road
What I will say however is that B/600 is the most varied class in the game, where any one of up to 10 cars is capable of topping the leaderboards. At A/700 there are only 2 viable candidates, at P/998 there is only 1 etc.
Leaderboard cars will always exist. Whether you use them or not is up to you.
So in lies the problem with the shared tunes…it has taken the variety and sporting nature out of the game and tuned it into a psuedo spec series. To top it off this the “play to win” nature is why people are truly incapable of trying other cars and tunes. Sad really because I race, and beat, alot of these LB cars and tunes in many different B Class cars…so can everyone else.
No matter, I’ll still run my whole car list and have whether I come in 1st, 8th, wherever I end up and have fun with RWD Lancia Fulvia an Acura, an old Mercedes or a Muscle car because it’s a game, let’s have fun.
If you see me online hit me up…if you’re clean my buds and I will race all night and have fun.
i use 69 camaro and trans am a lot but in genaral any muscle car has the potential to be podeum cars, for grip tracks honda s2000,toyota gt86 and brz, the ring i use a v8 r34 skyline and tight tracks i use v6 evo 6 or rally engine 05 imprezza
its all about finding the balance of power, grip for the track a5.3 speed and 6.0 handling car wont win around the ovals or monza
Since the classic compact league one of my favourite B class cars to use is the Holden Torana. There are several good setups for it and I was able to post some good times in it around some tracks.
I have really enjoyed driving the ‘94 Mazda MX5. With street tires and 370 hp, it rips around mid to high speed tracks. Keeps up with the lotus’ and beetles at places like lime rock, too
B and C class has the widest selection of tunes and cars that run at the top. But this has a lot to do with engines swaps, which kinda make the all the same caes.
Every car in classics compact class will run top 10 time in B class, with an engine swap.
Yes 1.6 is a beast. But the 5.7, 3.7 and the 3.2 with centerfugal are good option as well. I starting to think the 5.7 is a better option than the 1.6. Depending on the build and track. The turbo lag and lack of topend can really kill the 1.6.
