To get the new car, the easiest way to win is with the Peel Trident. Honest thanks to PG for that!

Edit : I would laugh if someone complain that this event is really hard with the Trident.

Edit 2 : Or the speed trap, if you struggle, you can start further back by taking the road like a chicane, if you can get what i mean,

I tried it with a stock AMC Gremlin and it was pretty easy with that as well.

Cross Country Trial A class off road. First try, got lucky. Everyone quit but me and another guy and we won the last 2. Stay and see if people quit is my best advice for that,.

Trial was a mess (just shows I suck at driving cross country along with not really feeling well). 7th, 1st, 5th, used Ford F-150 with DJS tune
Cult C500 I used Abarth 595, set with full handling (maybe gone a bit overboard with that :slight_smile: ) code 181 293 729
Modern muscle S1 was my fav car - Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 with R4NSON tune
The hatch I used my VW Golf, but my tune is bad.

Cross Country trial??? I love cross country!

Finished everything in about 95 min. New personal record, it’s mostly street races too.

With the problems being caused by the corona virus, we needed some easy challenges. Many thanks PG.

I got bored in the middle of the night on Wednesday/Thursday, so I went ahead and prepared for the Weekly Challenge. I’ll share what I have, and hopefully it’ll be extremely fun and easy for you folks, as well:

Weekly Challenge:

  • Own and drive any the 1992 Honda NSX-R
    I built myself a nice, but somewhat (almost deliberately ugly) S2 NSX. (Tune: NSX JDM-AF: 182 936 044) I pushed everything to the max and gave it the full body kit… but I didn’t tune the transmission. Using what I had from ForzaTuner would have slowed it down too much since I think I misread the torque curve. As the comment for the tune says “Is 175 not enough?” It can get to 200 easily.

  • Reach 175mph in your Honda NSX-R '92 AND

  • Win 3 Road Sprint events in your Honda NSX-R '92
    I’ve lumped these two together because I used my M68 Test Track (121 822 016) yet again. Thing’s been more versatile than I expected, to be honest. The NSX hits 175 while in the first tunnel, so you can finish the race and be on the way to getting the Road Sprints. The only problem: what if you don’t want to race a course that is supposedly 12.7 miles three times? Well, then… I took care of that and made two smaller tracks:
    M68 Tunnel Blast (461 514 881)
    Similar to the Test Track (go right when the Drivatars go left), but it ends after the second tunnel. This one is also a guarantee of getting the 175mph you need.

A Fool’s Sprint (156 791 745)
Another bit of tricking the Drivatars, and even shorter than the tunnel blast. This one starts at the Cotswolds Super Sprint site and is literally straightforward. The Drivatars turn left, but the finish line is straight ahead. I don’t know if you can get up to 175 on this, I accidentally punted a Drivatar while testing.

  • Earn 10 Air Skills in your Honda NSX-R '92
    This one, I started by jumping the Windmill Danger Sign and then just driving offroad on hilly terrain until I got 10. Easy peasy.

The weekly challenges were very enjoyable. I challenged myself to drive my NSC ‘92 as stock as I could, but ended up slightly upgrading it. Kudos to PG for this set!

Hi all,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks seasonal online events + PR stunts, for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, unless otherwise noted, all shared by myself (or others). ~ tune name / share code.

**Trial: “Pickup and Play” | Cross Country | (A800) Offroad
**Car used: 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor (Autoshow 63,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 CC Offroad / 138 009 364

Previous tune from previous trial - retested for this weeks event, testing offline, will beat A.I. on all trial tracks. Online has added issues (input lag, bad team-mates, weird A.I. reactions), but tune should help you to place well, if not outright win all events - I had a podium position in all events. Tune has offroad tires, engine swapped for 5.8L V8 with twin turbo, no aero.

**Seasonal Playground Games | Mortimer Gardens | (A800) Sports Utility Heroes
**Car used: 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo (Autoshow 105,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Games / 182 584 789

Re-tuned version of cross country A800 tune, lower top speed, faster acceleration (gear change - auto). Stable, did not flip in testing, did not tip in event. Tune runs offroad tires, rally suspension, engine swapped for 6.2L V8, no aero, no lights, no brush guard bumper, no wide-body.

-Toft Speed Zone, 2018 McLaren Senna - ‘So Much Grip’ (921 240 335) by Don Joewon Song,
-Horizon Drag Strip Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - ‘PR Stunt Rally’ (120 633 544), - a non-tuned Rimac would work just fine here,
-Arthur’s Seat Danger Sign, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - ‘PR Stunt Rally’ (120 633 544).
The Rimac Concept Two tune is running rally tires/suspension, wider tires, lighter rims, better brakes, and has Forza aero (standard settings).

Hi all,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks seasonal events, for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, unless otherwise noted, all shared by myself (or others). ~ tune name / share code.

Solo championships - Raced against Expert, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability; Off, Gearbox: Auto.

**Championship: “Packaging A Punch” | Street Scene | (S900) Modern Muscle
**Car used: 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (Autoshow 60,000 Cr)
**Tune: S900 Road RWD / 723 752 898

Easy win, easy enough driver. Plenty of grip, however don’t rely on Forza’s driving/braking line (if you use it) to be honest - you will need to brake for some of the ‘blue’ corners ~ why is it that this feature is not correctly dynamic? Other games manage, yet this reasonably old series can not manage a proper dynamic driving line? Tune is RWD, don’t let that scare you, power is manageable, brake into corners, power out of corners, just don’t apply power half in-out of a corner, has rear Forza aero.

**Championship: “Pizza Boy” | Street Scene | (B700) Hot Hatch
**Car used: 2003 VW Golf R32 (Autoshow 20,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 Street / 100 632 379

Tune can/will win, however, not a ‘meta’ car, race will be competitive (not a run away win) depending on driving ability, mistakes will cost - this is especially so on Horizon 4’s favorite “we the A.I. have one million grip” course “The Monument Wynds” - ‘but they don’t cheat’ as the A.I. takes a red braking line corner without braking at all… Tune runs sports tires (because need some power), centrifugal supercharger, and rear Forza aero.

**Championship: “Cult Courier” | Road Racing | (D500) Cult Cars
**Car used: 1968 Abarth 595 Esseesse (Autoshow 35,000 Cr)
**Tune: D500 Road RWD / 366 636 680

Two choices - first up the ‘competitive’ but will easily win option the '68 595. Fun to drive, however do be aware this little car with not a great deal of power (71hp/51kw, 73ft-lbs/99N-m), rear weight bias and a short wheel base will break traction and spin out if you accelerate too quickly out of certain corners - I advise coasting until you adjust to this quirk. Follow the D class rule - avoid hitting anything even if it is a faster line, the speed lost won’t return quickly. Tune is RWD, stock upgraded engine, centrifugal supercharger, race tires, no aero, shaved bumpers.

Option two - the ‘very easy’ win - don’t worry about the 100 P.I., the game will match you against 100 P.I. A.I. - 1962 Peel P50 - “D100 Easy Pass” - (177 610 598). Tune is named as it is as this is what I use it for - does it really well. Tune is AWD, stock upgraded engine, Forza aero, with offroad tires (better grip than stock - only option given). I used this in all events, on average it is 5 seconds plus faster on lap times, and wins by 20 plus seconds (will vary by driving ability, although the Peel at P.L. 100 is not hard to drive).

Feeling better today (did get some rest in the morning, after night shift) and been playing with tunes somewhat:
So D 500 Abarth 595 - 181 293 729 works OK
For B 700 I used Abarth 695, tune 171 615 752.
Also played with S1 900 Camaro ZL1 and came up with 915 847 928
As usual they are mostly handling oriented.
I have B 700 VW Golf R32 with 294 848 674 tune, but I don’t really like it as such, not with this championship anyway.

Weekly Forzathon Honda NSX-R '92 tuned to S1 900 - 153 087 344
along with custom route at Lake District Sprint - just drive straight - 546 401 510
and finally did some jumping in the sand on the beach - easy air skills

Stunt jump done with offroad tuned Agera RS, speed zone done with S2 DJS tuned Lego Senna and speed trap done with X DJS drag tuned Shelby Monaco King Cobra.

PS
RAM 2500 Power Wagon with DJS tune also works well for Trial.

I usually hate those small, tight circuits, like Festival Circuit and Ambleside when they come up in S1 or S2 class. But they’re not at all bad in D class. They really do seem to be made for lower classes. That was a fun championship.

Stock Gremlin is great for D-class Road Racing championship.

Gotta test later if they have fixed the Peel issue. No problems with it at least in this champ.

Really liked S1 Street Scene championship, did it with DD Mustang stock. Nice to get on those routes during day time (liked last weeks Street scene event for same reason). Pizza Boy was alright too, something different as we can’t custom blueprint them. Used Vauxhall Astra stock for it IIRC.

Drivatar PI matching vs. Player team was set to On for this Trial again. Success on first try but I came to think that I don’t think CC would work with PI matching Off.

The 2 street race championships were very enjoyable, tried something different and used the Karmann Ghia, never thought struggling up hills at 40-50mph would be so fun.

But the best thing as with any street race in FH4 is not having to hear those embarrassing noises PG classes as music in the pre-race screen.
