Reminder: today’s content update for The Eliminator and Series 17 is unrelated to this season’s events. A common update release time is 10am Pacific but it could be then or earlier or later; there’s no announced time

So we’re recycling Forzathon challenges now? Didn’t we do the XJ220 thing a couple of months back?

cue the endless discussion about whether the XJ220 was a rally car [Runs for cover]

I like the “you have been disconnected” update

I guess I’m not the only one experiencing major issues with being disconnected today. Happens every 5 mins or so, like clockwork. Haven’t had any problems before. Utter pointless to try doing the Forzathons etc right now.

Yeah, the servers seem ridiculously unstable, I don’t think I’d manage a head to head without being disconnected, forget an actual race. It’s usually rock solid for me, but today has been nuts.

Maaaannnn that issue almost caused me to quit last weekend. Lost 330 of my rank in one day!!! Endless disconnects!!!

Then don’t do it. Easy.
Or complain about a done deal, that always helps.
Entitlement, the new black.

Oh get stuffed, it isn’t asking much for a different weekly challenge with the 100’s of cars available.

Why do I always lose on the blue team in games? First Red we won after 3 blues lol

More often than not, the Blue team is 1 racer short in my experience.

My worst experience ever: I was on the red team with a one racer advantage. We won the first two, and then most of the red team quit leaving us down 2 racers. We promptly lost the next 3 as the other remaining teammate proceeded to do stunts rather than try the event…

Just FYI in case there’s any confusion - the Honda gift car is unrelated to the Festival Playlist.

The one I received had no livery on it, and I don’t know what’s that car meaning for till I saw this.
Shame I deleted it before get into the car.
I should do a double check.

For some reason, the livery doesn’t show up in the garage thumbnail. But it loads in when you get in the car.

If you want the S2000 to have the custom livery appear in the thumbnail in your garage, just do an upgrade and save to the car.

So when will the update be rolled out?

Edit!

Oh, it’s out!

Thanks a lot guys!

Tips & Miscellany

The Trial - Bring Home The Bacon

Dirt Racing, S1 900 Modern Muscle.

  1. Cotwolds Road Rally Trail, Morning, Light Rain.
  2. Ashbrook Loop Scramble, 3 Laps, Early Afternoon, Light Rain.
  3. Derwent Reservoir Trail, Late Afternoon, Heavy Rain.

Credits for Waznewz for weather conditions.

Got this on first try but my Cadillac ATS-V tune wasn’t good. There was also mid-air collision with Drivatar which caused me to hit dead end behind hard obstacle and bit of rewind loop in first race. Finished on 9th. place my worst for ages. Thankfully team had it in hands it race was a win.

Did better on second and third race, first on Ashbrook Loop and second (behind another Blue player) on Derwent Reservoir but car was not good, it was unpredictable.

We won Trial all right, but I got back to it later.

After completing everything else on Playlist I upgraded and tuned Vauxhall Monaro for another run on this. While it’s only S1 886 I positioned 2nd (of Blue), 1st. and 1st. with it. I had not instability issue, though suspension may feel weird.

We had pretty good team and won every race without problems even though we were racing against 3 Drivatar PO Camaro’s this time. There was someone with Cadillac CTS-V with S1 898 tune and it turned out it was tricky to drive for that player.

Edit: Tune shared for Vauxhall Monaro.

I haven’t been able to share tune yet as I get “Error contacting Server” or something like that, but I will once situation resolves.

Playground Games: Got this on first try. Pretty good and even first round, then players from opposite team started quitting. Weird thing was we ended in new Infected match without opponents. No credits, no influence but event was marked as complete.

PR-Stunts: Bugatti Veyron for Jump and Speed Trap. Hoonigan RS200 for Speed Zone.

Championships

Completed on Unbeatable difficulty using stock cars. Braking line, no traction control etc.

Championship: Veloster Raptor Returns

This turned out to be tricky one and I had to run this twice. Tried both cars Hyundai and Ford in two races and Ford was much better.

For me it looked like there was something odd going on if I left Ambleside Scramble for last. Despite getting laps 0:45.154 - 0:45.379 I finished 4th in there, while I was able to get third on doing laps at 0:46.021.

One thing to make this easy is to get Drivatar lineup where fastest Drivatar is driving Hyundai. It can be pretty fast on first race, but beatable on two others, Ambleside Scramble and Derwent Water trail. At Ambleside Scramble Hyundai’s lap times were very close to 0:47’s and catchable with lap times around 0:45.237.

On Derwent Water trail, Raptor was not only fast but also lot’s of fun.

Recommended car: '17 Ford Raptor.

Championship: The Old Smokey

So S2 Extreme track toys on:
Princes Street Garden Circuit (rain)
Edinburgh Station Circuit (dry)
Holyrood Park Circuit (damp)

I noticed there were only two options for AWD stock for this, Bugatti Divo and Lamborghini Sesto. Sesto happened the be last autoshow car I didn’t had so I bought it. It’s pretty amazing, won every race with it. I didn’t even tested Bugatti on this.

Lambo Sesto can pull lap times 0:50.984 on Princes Street Circuit, 0:51.034 on Edinburgh Station Circuit and 1:03.480 on Holyrood Park circuit. Actually I believe car can do better, but anyway, only race that I needed to retry was the first one as I was getting used to car.

Recommended car: Lamborghini Sesto

Championship: Street Scene Sunset

Edinburgh West End, Edinburgh Stockbridge and the Monument Wynds.

Did this with '93 Renault Clio Williams. What an outstanding car. It appears that normal Street Scene rules don’t apply and opponents were mix of D- and C-Class cars.

Renault Clio can take on sidewalks pretty well, unless pushed too hard (second 90 degree on Edinburgh West End for example and also handles uneven surface of Monument Wynds really well without losing grip. Won every race.

This was my favourite champ on this Playlist.

Recommended car: '93 Renault Clio Williams.

Weekly#Forzathon Challenge

Win three Dirt Trail races: I found Derwent Reservoir Trail and Bamburgh Pinewood trail to be easiest, White Horse Hill trail being perhaps tightest win overall.

For next stages, driving 20 miles triggered to me without issues. Reaching 220 mph last one is bit tricky with stock, though most likely doable on motorway. I got really close when starting near Ashbrook heading to motorway, cutting traffic island and going flat out on motorway, somewhere around 216 - 217 mph, so I think it’s doable with stock, but also time consuming. So what I did was twin turbo upgrade. Costs 5.400 Cr.

Updates sure are coming late for me in recent weeks. Still nothing, and half of the Forzathon stuff doesn’t work because “The Forza Horizon 4 server is not currently available”… and hasn’t been for hours.
