Autumn #Forzathon Shop, Festival Playlist events and rewards through March 26

The Napier does weird things to the camera views. When the car is still it rocks back and forth. It can be seen when panning around the car or while using interior driver views. It’s like you’re rocking forward and backward in the seat.

Another difficult offroad trial. The two top choices seem to be the Ford F-150 Raptor and RAM Rebel TRX. Ranger Raptor and Power Wagon are also good choices. Use whatever one feels best to you. I found it easiest with the Rebel TRX.

For the Playground Games, I found that Mortimer Gardens favors small vehicles that can duck and weave among the trees and ruins scattered throughout. The water won’t slow you down as much as you think, especially since we’re using high clearance SUVs this time around. The Jeep Trackhawk worked like a charm here. It has small size with great launch and acceleration. Others have had success with the Porsche Macan so that’s another choice.

i have done 3(!!!) street online adventure (4 or 5 circuits) and it doesnt count for the daily!

I’m a little slow to post these, bit I was able to get the seasonal Championships done last night. Since I did them in reverse order (had to get that Napier-Railton ASAP, don’cha’know…), I’ll post them in that order:

Championship: “Cult Courier” | Road Racing | (D500) Cult Cars
Car used: '70 Datsun 510
Tune: Nissan Ichi (289 281 189)
I was so… SO tempted to use a Gremlin, but that felt cliche. I tried first to build up a Karmann Ghia, but I couldn’t get it to work right. So I went with the 510 because it was something low-cost and out of left field (in the Cult Cars category, that’s saying a lot). Handles well, accelerates well, and can hold off contenders.

Championship: “Pizza Boy” | Street Scene | (B700) Hot Hatch
Car used: 2016 Vauxhall Corsa VXR
Tune: B Class (118 642 972)
I went for my Corsa because I thought I had tuned it before. Turned out the tune was only an auto-B class tune that left it FWD. Still good enough to do its thing, but mind the curbs. I rolled it a handful of times by trying to clip them.

Championship: “Packaging A Punch” | Street Scene | (S900) Modern Muscle
Car used: 2005 Vauxhall Monaro VXR
Tune: MadLad (911 391 797)

I’ve finally figured out gearing again, it seems. This thing has power and speed without excessive torque, however… it still corners like a muscle car. It was a bit dicey at parts, and it took a second go-through to win, but once I got the hang of this beast it worked wonderfully.

Still need to do the Trial and the PG, but I already have a Scout I’m trying to build for the Trial. So wish me luck on that one…

I wodner if we will be getting any content in the next update, despite corona.

But I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t.

@ClutchNixon.

Given that Rise of the Triad 2013 was Developed Primarily over Skype and Team Viewer, and Yet, despite the odd Hiccup here and there Resulting from its rather low Budget (it being one of the very first “Boomer Shooters” , so the Budget just was not there as no one could Predict just how much that Genre would Explode after DooM 2016 came along and took it Mainstream!) Still turned out to be a Darn good Game, I fail to see how the Lurgi Outbreak will stop the Content Updates.

Playground can just Develop the new Content on their Computers at Home and then use Skype to Discuss that contents Implementation, and Team Viewer to Transfer the Data Files between each other, and eventually to whoever is in charge of Compiling the Data into a Fully Functioning Piece of In Game Content, such as a New Car (Model (3D Mesh and Skeleton + Texture Set) , Animations Set, Physics Set and Audio Data) , which can then be Remotely Uploaded to the Update Servers.

If the Dreaded Lurgi stops anything, it will be the Live Streams and the Torben Tuesday Image, and that’s only if the UK Goes into “Total Lockdown” and Playgrounds Staff cannot get into Work, the Content, I Imagine, will continue to be added Regardless as it can be done from Home via Skype and Teamviewer.

it worked for Interceptor/3D Realms, so it can Work for Playground!

If they can still get into Work however, because People have got to Work, Lurgi Outbreak (eeeh-ackerboo!) or Not, then the Streams and Torben Tuesday images, I imagine, will Probably continue as Normal! basically… and I cant believe someone as Downcast and Miserable as I is saying this… “Stop being such a Negative Norah!” everything is going to be Fine!

Heck, even in the event of Complete Emergency, which means they may not be able create any “all new” Content for a Couple of Months, there are still a number of Cars already in the Dev Build and Fully Functioning within that aforementioned Dev Build of the Game (such as the P1 GTR, Hint Hint Playground) as we have seen and heard them in the Races shown on the Live Streams, that are not Yet in the Consumer Version of the Game, so they can just Upload those Cars to the Consumer Versions to continue to give us New Content for a good 3 or 4 Months if Necessary.

So don’t Worry!

Did some Street races with stock '63 Opel Kadett A (D 100). Encountered Peel Trident in one race and Peel P50 in other, no issues with them.

Too early to say before more runs with different cars in lower D-class but PG may have really fixed “The Peel Effect”.

For Playlist event, it means that about any car can should be able to do it, bone stock.

Hi there, I feel stupid and might be late to the party, but even though I do own the Honda nsx-r 1992, horizon does not recognize it when I drive it. I am stuck at the first challenge for the weekly Forzathon. Any ideas? Thanks! Do I need to buy an additional one?

No reason why it shouldn’t work but there have been problems in the past with owned cars not registering. Probably best to buy a new one and try that.

I know that just a few hours before the season turns over isn’t the best time to put up my builds for the Trial and PGG, but better late than never…

The Trial Co-Op Championship: “Pickup and Play” | Cross Country | (A800) Offroad
Truck Used: '17 Ram Power Wagon
Tune: GoDozer (113 127 864)
This probably wasn’t the best tune I could have done because there’s some weirdness in the gearbox. Slow to accelerate and when it does shift into 2nd you’re already doing 80+ mph. Not the biggest problem if you’re at the end of the starting grid, but a pain if you got picked to be up front for your team. Handles well, but is a bit too nimble (I rolled it at least once on the first race). This is definitely better than the International Scout I tried. It had one pro: it was tiny and nimble. That was also it’s con. When the Drivatars are G-Wagens and Ram TRXs, you get punted easy. Go with my Power Wagon build instead. Or even find something better.

Seasonal Playground Games | Mortimer Gardens | (A800) Sports Utility Heroes
Car Used: '15 Range Rover Sport SVR
Tune: 4ARover (457 185 312)
This was a leftover tune for something else I had needed an A-Class Rover for some other event. It still works in the PGG, so have at it.
