Auction House returns to FH3

I bought my first car in Motorsport 3, which was my first Forza, a Ferrari California.

Takes me back and I’m very happy!!!

the fun part about the auction house is if you are stupid rich early you can blow 50 mil on a car in there! but ya, im sure a few will abuse, lets hope it doesn’t become criminal

I am very happy to have the Storefront & Auction house back. I hope that it has been sorted out so that none of us hardcore painters find a thief has taking our vinyls and unlocked them. Not that I don’t have ways to get said players banned because I do . I just don’t want to have to spend countless hours search for my stolen vinyls. That part was no fun at all for any artists to have to do to keep ur things . I do look forward to auctioning sick designs for serious $ ! I guess we will see how things go so I’m hyped …

Personally, I can’t wait to see the return of the AH and SF. I’m hoping that with them comes the return (and improved) sharing to permit collaborations. I used to love seeing cars that were team-built, fully tuned with sometimes 2-3 painters going for big money on the AH. It wasn’t too often that I was really able to compete in the bid wars, but was fun to watch.

It gives players a reputation type-label? That’s interesting.

yeah really looking forward to the auction house i thought it was a nice touch in Forza 4 and thought it would of been carried across to other versions as well i really cant wait for it

I guess for those people that apparently need it so badly it is a good thing. I don’t personally see a point in it, you can share you tunes and paint jobs in FH2. Is it just because people sit in the paint shop all day and that is how they make money in the game?
I personally never used the function but I don’t love or hate it, I guess just completely neutral as I probably would never use it.

One question. Never really used the auction house before. But lets say I want to give a friend of mine an specific car. Is it any way for me to sell it just to him, through for example the auction house?

You could set the auction with a buyout that you both agree on. Then have him immediately search the AH for the car the second you post it. But, there is always the chance someone else will see it before him.

Super excited to see this return. As someone who never raced but tuned and painted all day I can finally be financially stable. This is easily one of the best features the Forza Series has ever had. Anyone complaining sounds like you just never had any luck on it. It’s like people complaining about ebay.

Bet there’ll be some ridiculous bids on certain cars!

I for one have only started playing forza ever since I got an xbox one. I’ve only played FH2 and FM6 so far; I’m curious to how Auction House and Store Front will work.

So I believe they are making it similar to how it was back in forza 3 and 4 and essentially it works like this.

Auction house- Players can take cars they no longer want/need and place them on the auction house allowing other players to potentially save credits on cars that can be purchased in the show room as well on some cars certain designers use the auction house to make credits through exclusivity and may charge a premium on pre tuned and designed cars.

The storefront unlike the mess seen in the last few forza games allows user to not only search for designs specifically for the car they are in, but they can search for top designs and most recent designs of all cars. You will be able to search by designer and follow them so if there is a certain designer you like a lot you can follow them and download new designs from them. Hopefully they change it so every download designers can collect an amount because in forza horizon 2 i had designs that have 200+ downloads yet people never use the car so I never made any money from it where in forza 3 and 4 I charged 10-50k per download and so a 200 download could equal 10m credits or i’d sell unlock designs and make 10m for one download

@GRRR413 - Since I see it looks like you’ve used the AH/Storefront before and have an understanding of how it works, I have a couple of questions. I am a painter and will look to sell vinyls and paints. Is there an option for others to just download vinyls and paints for free like in FM6/FH2 as well as an option to purchase with CR with me being able to determine if a work is free or has a price? How do I determine prices to set? Is there a generally accepted price range? Or do you just have to guess what the market will be like for a work and then maybe adjust according to results?

Has it been confirmed anywhere if VIP’s will have their auctions above regular players like they used too?

Also how many tuning slots do we get on the storefront?

I haven’t really kept up with FH3 news…

I don’t think any of this has been mentioned.

Thanks, hopefully T10 will spill the beans before release.

Will we be able to use the AH from within the Forza Hub mobile app? Would be sweet to browse the AH while at work.
