Notes
Please post Auction House rules/quirks/info as you find them and I’ll update this post.

• Help menu: “Note: The Auction house takes a small amount of the proceeds from completed auctions. The amount scales based on how much a car was sold for.” This is why the credits collected from your auction is less than the price paid by the final bidder.
• Cars you received as an award or gift (ie for free) cannot be listed on the Auction House.
• Limit 25 auctions listed per day
• Starting Price can be set in a range from roughly 10% of the car value to the full car value.
• Buyout Price can be set in a range from roughly 50% of the car value to a little more than the car value.
• Auction length can be set to 1, 3, 6, 12, or 24 hrs.
• You can auction cars that have designs and tuning setups you downloaded from the community. Buyers can remove the designs and tunes, but they will not be available to be restored to that car (unless available for download from the original creator).
• When viewing the Auctions menu, look to the lower left of the screen for the icon indicating that you already own that car model.
• “View the Elite Designs section to find auction listings from the best content creators in the Forza community.”
• “Featured auctions showcase some of the best current listings in the Forza community.”
• Limit 30 buyouts per day (which then prevents any bids until the next day; bids are unlimited if the buyout limit isn’t reached)
• Bidding on a DLC car when you don’t own the DLC will result in a “Marketplace Error”
• Bought cars that include upgrades that are not Auto-Homologate parts will be lost from the car if you remove the tuning setup. Auto-Homologate parts are included with every car.
• Credits from completed auctions will not be returned to you until you select the specific auction and Collect Credits. Won cars also need to be collected.
  These Forza Edition models are part of the VIP DLC and only players who own that DLC will be able to bid on those auctions:

Find not listed cars.
One can find cars, which aren´t available at the dealer. Search for just “Bugatti”, and you will find the Veyron, too. It has no own searchstring, the name isn´t listed.
A question: Could someone without VIP check, if he finds VIP-FE cars? I´m able to buy them at the dealer and bring them to the AH. I just don´t know, if everyone can find them. There is an option to search for FE-Cars, so when you search “Ford” and FE-cars, you could find the RS, for example.

The Veyron is available through levelling up - it is likely, that is the reason we can find it.

Which cars aren´t sellable in the AH?
Obviously gifted cars, won cars (f.e. championship, showcase cars…) - cars you didn´t pay for. After some testing, I found none of them. (the Ferrari FXXK, f.e.)
Cars you got for free through levelling up aren´t sellable, too! Cars like the Indy´s, where you have to pay 25000 for, are sellable. So when you are at a low tier and get a Nascar with additional payment, you can sell it. At higher tiers, when you get it for free, those aren´t. I have two Nascars that aren´t sellable, and one that is. All three I got from levelling.

Pricing
The AH doesn´t let you make prices below the half of what it´s worth. So you can´t make money from it, as long as you buyout. With bidding it is possible to pay under half of what it´s worth, so selling it fom the garage grants you the difference between what you paid and the half of it´s price at the dealer. The cap seems to be as always - the more parts you put in, the more you can ask for buyout.

Can anyone confirm, what a user posted in the other thread? He said, his car from the AH had lost all tuning parts and the design, which seems to be a bug, not normal. As soon, as I buy a car in the AH, I will have a look at it.

When it comes to those elite-pricing, I´m out. I don´t care for that and thus there is no need to learn about it. If someone wants to add this, feel free to do so.

Specialty Dealer
Obviously you can sell those cars, thus I found some. I didn´t try this by myself. When you don´t find a car, it isn´t available at this time, I guess. You also can search especially for those cars, there is an option for. As said, I found some, with production numbers shown in the offer. I didn´t try, if I find the names listed. No excessively pricing seen, so far.

General
I took that cool and wonderful list on Kudosprime (kudos to you :-)) and had a look at cars, that aren´t available in the game. Unfortunately, the most of them weren´t there. I tried the AM One-77 (and other AM), and some other legendaries, but nothing. The Shelby Daytona must be to find, as long it is offered, because I got it from levelling. I guess, most of the cars are sellable, but they´re simply not available at this moment. I don´t know which cars from the list aren´t given for levelling, so I don´t know, which cars aren´t available at all. Does anyone own the One-77? Is it sellable?

So far, those are the things I know about. I hope, this helps a bit, and I´m looking forward to see interesting additions.

I can put the car up for auction stock, but when I buy a tune and/or download a livery, I can’t list it. Then when I remove everything, I can’t even list it in stock form anymore. 2016 Jag F-Type Project 7 FE and the 2010 Maserati Gran Turismo S FE to be exact.

If they are cars you earned for free you cannot sell them on the AH.

Lol Microsoft would never let you sell prize cars. This game is already a huge scam and it’s impossible to make money to buy the now rediculously priced cars and they’ll do anything to make sure it stays like that. I’m level 100 and maybe 60 of my level up rewards are cars I got from prizes and wanted to sell but now I have some garbage cars I hate and nothing to do with them. Typical Microsoft. I wish I could return my digital game

Kinda sucks I can’t sell my duplicate FE cars or unicorns for some good money. I suppose either stuff them to the darkest corners of the garage or remove them is the only option. At least you can sell specialty cars.

Can somebody from Turn 10 explain how Elite Designs are selected?

This game doesn’t have a Storefront, and as such wouldn’t have Elite or Legendary players since those ratings were tied to that system.

To make it worse, There are cars in my garage that I want to sell and can’t, but when I look through the “deals”, there are the exact same cars for sale.

Specifically remembered Formula E, BMW RLL Z and VW Touareg. I can’t sell mine, but others are for sale.

Anyone from T10 able to explain this?

Edit: Thanks for chiming in Manteo, Also cannot sell ANY of my Subarus, like the two Rally ones, or the BRZ. No FE cars like the Monte Carlo or Maserati (I have 2 of that one).
