So ever since they introduced RTGI in update 15 (which looks incredible), I’ve noticed some pretty severe artifacting has appeared since then.
Specifically it’s with red lights trailing from the taillights (braking or no braking doesn’t make a difference). And also a whiteish silhouette of the rear of the car, right behind the car.
I’ve also notice it tends to be most visible when it it dawn/dusk in the game. At high noon or night time it’s not very apparent.
But here’s where it gets weird. The red trailing lights artifacting is ONLY visible when RTGI is enabled (low, med, high RTGI settings doesn’t make a difference). But the white silhouette is visible regardless or not if RTGI is on.
It seems to happen regardless of car or track as well. I’ve tried rebooting my PC, updating drivers, etc etc, and I’m running on a 4080 w/ a 13900k. So specs aren’t the issue either.
I’ll attach some pictures below for reference. The 928 is on Yas Marina during the C Class Open Series campaign, and the M3 is on Watkins Glen in the B Class Open Series campaign.
I circled the white silhouettes on the 928 to help point it out for the first 2 pics. And in the 3 pics in my reply show the taillight trailing.
