I wonder if anyone else is experiencing graphical issues in Nürburgring on Series X.
Lots of texture flickering and in my case, at night, blurry laser lights in the background. So far, I’ve only seen this on Nürburgring, but I also noticed that on every track, when the sun is facing you, the colors don’t look right. They look washed out. I’ve restarted the game and console, but the issue persists.
i was doing this race on pc and after a couple laps the track started disappearing from under me, everything went worse from there, in the last lap i was driving on nothing, all the gameworld was transparent so to speak xD, super bad stuff
Night driving is beautiful but there’s a strange semi-circle flicker between the headlight beams where they converge. Most noticeable in the first person views.
Not sure if it’s a lighting glitch or texture glitch during night driving but the beams look like they are flickering or broken because of it. Visible a few metres ahead of the car.
Same with the sun bouncing off the tarmac… weird textures and flickering around it.
Only seems to happen when using specific cars. Also seems worse or less depending on the track and lighting. First came across it on Lime Rock when I had to use the open top MX5 Miata. No idea what’s causing it.
Got a video capture of it but it seems you can’t post videos here? It’s not easy to explain what it looks like other than a big area around the car with shadows heavily flickering in and out constantly. Not shadows that should be there though.
Playing on Series X in Performance with Ray Tracing mode.
I’ve seen it happen to a lesser extent - just on the car windows - in Visual mode, too. But it hasn’t been frequent or annoying enough there for me to go to Performance. Especially since I’ve largely been sticking to driver view where it hasn’t been visible.
Visual mode also utilises raytracing, so it’s not surprising that the glitch is there as well. I think Performance mode is best without RT, that way you get the high resolution and the 60 fps gameplay without the graphical bugs.
There is severe artifacting on multiple tracks, time of day, and weather conditions. This is like a flickering shadow that follows you around the entire race and it feels like you’re racing in a stroboscope. This could cause photosensitive epileptic seizures.
