This still persists from day-one release. In some cases, shadows from the track flicker rapidly on the car surface in chase view camera. They also get “stuck” on the car for the rest of the race.

I have not experieced the shadow flickering issue in RT mode since it was supposedly fixed 2 updates ago. But the seams issue on most of the tracks is well documented here:

Thank God other people are experiencing this. I thought my brand new Series X had a faulty GPU.
I’m experiencing flickering on my Xbox series s grid race start & throughout the race had no issues like this since update 5 Not a Great Start for the New Game

for me it’s completely gone on both performance/performance rt modes
Yep, no more flicker except for the one a few metres in front of the car due to the headlight beams and sunlight reflecting on the road surface.
I did
- 3-4 custom races offline to try and replicate the flickering reflections on the hood I remember seeing a lot (Indy GP, cloudy weather, afternoon, Ferrari 355 Berlinetta, between sectors 6 and 7)
→ flickering gone in Performance RT - 3 races online in the same B/D classes I used to see the background/sky flickering in the pre-race screen and in some track sectors in-race
→ flickering gone in Performance RT
There was a new patch downloaded today which I haven’t tried yet but with previous major Update 6, RT issues were still present in Series X, like frozen reflections on car from previous menus.
This can happen (it’s super rare). But it’s not the flickering issue that people were discussing earlier (which have all been fixed besides the one happening in cockpit view during night races)
Are they aware of the glowing and shimmering cockpit parts? It’s visible in PRT under cloudy and overcast conditions only. I haven’t noticed it in Performance 4k or Quality mode.

Me either. RT at 60fps was heavily advertised as one of the key highlights of graphics and I want it to look absolutely perfect. They can do it, it’s all a matter of motivation, passion, determination, and dedication to do things.
There are examples of great car sounds in the game, and not so great ones for example. They improved some of those.
They can certainly improve visual aspects of the game too like they have these last few months, so I’m hoping RT will finally look the way it’s supposed to in the PRT graphics mode.
I can’t really look past the fact that my car is driving underwater with shimmering/glowing edges around cockpit parts and borders, so the performance RT setting really needs more tweaking. They’ve tweaked it a fair bit so far which is great .
Only the updates afterwards will tell if they re-ignited their passion or not as more bugs are introduced with each of the following updates. Because it’s looking pretty slim.
God awful amount of car sounds speaks for itself lol.
Do what you can to Improve your Experience goes to show how unfinished the game is lack of Polish Ect
