If you have any questions, I will try to answer them. Mainly things such as menu settings/items, cars, upgrades, racing, paint, tuning.
All items are placed into categories below for easy viewing purposes. If you do not see a question/answer below, feel free to ask and I will post it below in the appropriate location. Missing Features:
Q: Can you find Multiscreen in any of the menus?
A: I cannot find anything on Multicreen.
Q: For the Lotus F1, are any of the cars distinct features (KERS, DRS, adjustable brake bias, etc) available or is it pretty much similar to the LMP cars?
A: It is used automatically.
Q: Are car clubs really gone?
A: Yes.
Q: How can you sell Paint jobs, Tune setups, and Designs? I’m able to share them but don’t see an option to sell. Maybe once marketplace is up?
A: You can’t sell them. You share them, and if they get used, then you get paid for them.
Q: Is there a gifting option?
A: No.
Career Mode:
Q: I just started the game and did the first 5 races. How many more races until I can paint and tune?
A: As soon as you finish that series, it will have you start the next series (not the race) and you can Quit from there back to menu. The first series is around 5-6 races long. I can’t remember.
Q: Is CR as easy to get as it has been said?
A: I completed the first small series that it automatically throws you into, and it was 5 races I believe. I earned a little over 140,000 credits. So, I would say it isn’t too difficult.
Q: Any way to restart career?
A: The only way to restart is to do a reset on your profile, which will get rid of all of your vehicles. To do this, hold down (LB + RB) and (LT + RT) and then press Y simutanesously at the title screen (screen with the McLaren P1, where it says to press A to start)
Q: Do you know if Turn 10 plans on fixing the intro to the modern muscle event group. The have a video showing the 2012 gt500 and misquoted the car as a 07 gt500.
A: Not sure.
Q: Is there a way to switch cars or upgrade your car in between races in a League without having to exit the race entirely after it loads up?
A: No.
Q: When you start a new league and you don’t have a qualifying car, it gives you a list of qualifying cars to buy from. However any car you buy on this screen will auto-upgrade itself without prompting you. Is there a way to turn off auto-grade?
A: If you know which vehicle you want, back out and purchase the car. Just remember the requirements so that you can upgrade it properly.
Rivals:
Q: When buying cars, is there a way to see what body/family type it is? i.e. early hot hatch or super-mini, etc?
A: As far as I can see, the only way to find out what body/family it is is by going into Multiplayer Private Lobbies and setting the lobby up to the settings that are required for the rivals lobby and then go to buy car and you will see which ones are available, or going into Rivals and clicking buy car before picking your vehicle. But within the Buy Car section in Career, no.
Q: Is there a way in Rivals mode to show your last lap time all the time? I want to see my best, current and last lap times on the HUD all the time but can’t figure out how.
A: No, but you should be able to pause to see the best lap. At every checkpoint the Lap info pops up. So you will have to pay attention to those points.
Tracks:
Q: Is the sticky grass gone on turn one of the Indy oval?
A: No. Unfortunately, sticky grass is as strong as ever with the last turn on the GP Circuit (first turn of the Oval).
Q: Are there any grid settings, or do you have to start in the rear every race?
A: There aren’t any grid settings in Career, but there are the normal ones that were in FM4’s multiplayer (random, PI, etc.) in free play and multiplayer private races. But Career seems to be 14/16 starting position.
Upgrades/Tuning:
Q: Is there any new wheels and if so what are they?
A: As of from what I can tell, it doesn’t appear to be any new wheels. They are now split up into Sport Rim Style, Multi-Piece Rim Style, and Specialized Rim Style. Then in each section, they are ordered by Manufacturer, but not like FM4. It is all one big list now. The wheels however, look much better. Chrome looks like actual chrome, they have white wheels now, not the grayish pink color. As far as the Camaro ZL1 goes, you can paint the stock wheels! I have stock carbon fiber wheels on it.
Q: Are there any engine swaps for your ZL1 Camaro?
A: Yes, there is one. I don’t know what engine it is because they are now listed as Street swaps for engines and it gives 825 bhp, 650 torque and increases weight. All vehicles seem to have swaps for V8s.
Q: Is the aspiration glitch still possible? IIRC, the ZL1’s engine could become N/A in FM4
A: TBA.
Q: Is there a way to see all my saved tuning settings in one place? Not just for the car I am currently in, all of them in one place…
A: No, it only shows the current car you are using.
Q: Am I missing something, but when looking at saved tunes, I didn’t notice the current drivetrain that is installed (AWD,RWD,FWD) for each tune. Is it there and I am just blind?
A: I can’t seem to find any info on that either. Kind of seems like an important thing for them to add.
Q: Also are awd conversions as available as previous forzas?
A: Yes. I believe most cars now have AWD conversions. Chevrolet did not in past Forza’s, but do now.
Q: Are all the cars upgradable/tunable?
A: All vehicles can be upgraded and are tunable to my understanding. Some, however, can only do wheel/tire upgrades.
Q: Recalling the issue involving uploading a tune and it crashing the game.
A: I have not had this issue, but my friend did, and I have seen multiple posts about it on the forums. Contact Turn10 about the issue. Support link is listed at the top.
Paint:
Q: Are the plastics on cars paintable? For example where the registration plate would reside on some cars there is a black plastic texture. Is this paintable?
A: No.
Q:Can you paint chrome wheels?
A: Yes.
Q: Can you paint glass??
A: No. You can window tint, however.
Q: Are vinyl shapes available in metallic and special colors?
A: No, just the basic colors.
Kinect:
Q: Does Forza 5 have kinect head tracking if it does how well does it work looking in the rear view mirror or around your car etc.
A: Yes, there is headtracking. It works the same as if you use the controller to look around the inside of the car.
Free Play:
Q: Do you have to buy cars in career mode in order to use them in free play?
A: There are a select few cars in the rental options, but for a majority of the cars, unfortunately you do have to purchase yourself to drive. This includes Multiplayer too.
Q: Can you just hot lap to set track times instead of racing?
A: Hot lapping can be done in Rivals. You can also turn off Rivals Ghosts in the HUD under the Ghosts section so that you can hot lap like before.
Garage/Buy Cars/My Cars:
Q:Is there a garage limit that you are aware of?
A: TBA.
Q: Did they fix the back half of the 69 Camaro? like did they finally get the tail lights right for either the rs or non rs cars? and does it still have a freaking vinyl top?
A: The tail lights looked correct to me, and there is no vinyl top on it.
Q: Is there a simpler, faster ‘my garage’ view where I can see my cars without waiting for your current car to show and then click and navigate to cars on the menu?
A: There are Sort filters that you can mess with, then use the RB and LB buttons to swipe fast between Manufacturers, Classes, or whatever the Sort is set to.
In-Race/On-Track:
Q: Has anyone found a way to turn off Rewind completely?
A: There is an option in the HUD to turn off the pop up telling you you can use rewind, but not in the assists.
Q: With working LED front lights, does the pop-up lights work on the Ferrari F40 just like in Horizon?
A: Only in Forzavista mode.
Q: Was the Nissan GT-R R32 fixed. I mean headlights/taillights etc. Also was the 1970 Challenger R/T fixed? I mean the headlights were weirdly recessed and messed up?
A: The R32 seems to be fixed. As for the Challenger, TBA.
Q: What are the FOV options and what are their effects?
A: With one screen, the Field of View is much better than what is was in FM4. You can see all of the mirrors and more of the car, while not limiting outside view. With multi-screens, I haven’t seen anything on whether or not it is supported.
Q: When viewing a replay, is there any way to turn on telemetry and/or the HUD to see what is happening with the car?
A: No.
Q: Is there a automobile horn button?
A: No.
Q: What happens when you drive a 4x4 with raised suspension and a F1 car with lowered suspension into each other head on, do they sill connect like two big boxes ?
A: It is pretty much as usual. The truck demolished the F1 car backwards, but did not go over the vehicle. On one try, the F1 car actually went over the truck. It can however, if you have a bouncy tuned truck, like the F-150 Raptor.
Q: What happens when two cars with open wheels touch wheel to wheel , do the react to each other properly or is it just the same as two normal cars running side by side?
A: They can rub in weird ways and cause spin outs.
Q: Is degradation of tires in game?
A: Yes, the tires will degrade and wear over time. They also can appear worn.
Replay/Photo Mode:
Q: In Replay Mode, can you skip ahead by lap or is it similar to Forza 4 (skipping just a few seconds)?
A: Same as Forza 4.
Q: Can you save replays?
A: In Career mode, yes, in Multiplayer, no.
Q: Is there split screen replays and can you save them?
A: No.
Q: Can I record video from a replay and download, on the site forzamotorsport?
A: There doesn’t seem to be a movie option, but you can use the Game DVR for recording purposes.
Q: How to get a photo, too, from the site, as in fm4?
A: Go to the forzamotorsport.net, hover over the COMMUNITY drop down box and click GALLERY.
Q: What is the size of a large picture of a photograph?
A: 1920x1080.
Q: What is the speed of downloading videos and photos from the site forzamotorsport.net
A: As soon as you share the photo, it automatically gets put on the website in your gallery. Directions to get the gallery are listed above. Videos cannot be done through the website. Use the Game DVR and then you can edit it and upload it to SkyDrive to view it on a computer.
Menu Settings:
Q: what are the adjustments to the game audio? FM4 had default, tires, and cars. Is there direr rent settings and can we toggle the music on and off.
A: There is Master Game Volume (adjustable from 0-100), In Race Music (On or Off), Menu Music (On or Off), Playback System (TV or Home Theater) and Subtitles (On or Off).
Driver Levels/Affinity Levels:
Q: Do you still get an affinity discount on car parts as you level manufactures up?
A: You do receive bonus cash for every race you win with that certain car every time your affinity levels up. It doesn’t appear to discount parts, however.
Q: What is the driver level cap.
A: The highest driver level to gain an achievement for is 150, but as for a cap, it is most likely the same as Forza 4, 999.
DLC:
Q: Also, is the car pass available in the place where you get FM5 DLC from?
A: Yes, there is. It is $49.99 in the Xbox One Store under Forza Motorsport 5. The Marketplace in game still says “Coming Soon”.
Q: Is there a free car in the LaFerrari DLC? If so, what is it?
A: No. All vehicles, with the exception of the pack only LaFerrari, are $2.99 separately or $9.99 for the pack. You no longer need to download a free car to view other vehicles if you do not have the car pack. The LaFerrari will be gifted to you for free if you purchase the car pack. All other vehicles will cost in game credits and tokens as usual.
Q: Hi are all DLC cars available to rent in free play mode.
A: Yes.
Multiplayer:
Q: Are there still custom public lobbies and did they by chance bring back lobby tuning?
A: No, however you can purchase cars in multiplayer lobbies.
Q: I haven’t seen any multiplayer mode such as tag/infection/virus, are any of these in F5? If not, do you know if there are any planes to release these modes later on?
A: Tag is now in (infection, keep the it and pass the it), so is drag racing. But no cat and mouse as of yet.
Q: Is there a way to have two local players racing in split screen mode not just in free play but in multiplayer as well.
A: No.
Q: Is cat and mouse still in the playground?
A: There is no playground option and no cat and mouse.
Q: Is there a way to join people on your friend lists lobby, or a way to search user created lobbies? I know you can join via party, but is there another way?

Q: Is there online multiclass racing…in comparison to FM4 ABCS online racing?
A: There is a multclass setting in private lobbies, but I don’t believe there are multi-class lobbies online.
Q: Is it possible to turn on the distance and time split in Multiplayer?
A: No.
Forzavista:
Q: Can you rev the car by yourself in ForzaVista, or is it pre-programmed like in FM4?
A: You can rev it yourself. It does a pre-programmed rev first.
Q: I understand that we can’t open the hood on all the cars in Forza Vista, but can we open the doors and step in and start the engine in all cars ?
A: From my understanding, yes. My Camaro ZL1 and SS can open the doors and rev up, but not the hood or trunk.
Game Development:
Q: Was Anti-aliasing added or are the graphics still very jagged?
A: From my understanding, I think it is only added if run under 4K. I don’t know for sure though. Probably will have to Google it to find out.
