Any news about storefront in forza 6?

Hello

after the big fm5 disappointement, i don’t want to buy another forza 2.5 hd.

Forza 4 was perfect, but the new painting system is just awfull.

Is someone know for the return of the storefront and car club ? car and vinyl gifting ?

I’ve seen the auction house won’t be here, it s just too bad.

If it’s for economy balance don’ make me laugh, money don’t make you run faster online, and whith everything ulocked (not like fm2), everyone can be competitive with a few money, and can buy a lot more if the tiers rewards are reached.

With the power of the cloud there is a possibility of making a market for car and vinyls.

Forza without the storefront/ vinyls/ auction house is NOT forza. it’s just another empty beautiful racing game.

So i hate to say that, but if it’s forza 5 with rain and night, it’ll be without me, i’ll keep my money for need for speed ( I think they’ve learned from their mistake and bring back the good episode of underground.)

I was a forza fanboy i have all fm in collector, but when i see the franchise regressing like that i’m really disppointed, some time ago i was laughing at the face of people that were saying nfs was better. But the fact is there i had more fun playing nfs rival than forza 5…

So that my opinion, i don’t want to blame anyone, Turn10 perhaps loosing a customer is not a problem, but i’m perhaps not the only one…

Forza Motorsport 6 will not feature the storefront or car clubs of Forza Motorsport 4, nor will there be gifting. However, the ability to sell cars back to the game has returned, and the system for earning money from paints and tunes has been revamped to benefit the creators better.

Hopefully the ability to search and download paints and tunes is more like Forza 4. The way it was implemented in Forza 5 was really time consuming and awkward.

Agreed. The problem was no matter what filters you applied the newest tune/paint would always show up first. There was no way to filter any other criteria.

If things like sort by oldest, most used, most liked were included as sort feature options it wouldn’t have been bad at all.

Hopefully this oversight isn’t made again.

First bit of news for you, it’s called the Sharefront

Forza 4 with auction house and storefront was so perfect!! Wish turn 10 would bring that back!

I felt the storefront really killed off of the game, I found the Auction House was a really good deal.

Supposedly they revamped the system for searching for tunes and paints but its not like forza 4. They got rid of the storefronts, gifting and auction house because people were selling their stuff for real money.

Ok thanks for answers.

I’ll wait a little for sharefront, to see what it look like.

FM5 and FH2 were a crap for livery, you can’t search for a theme livery and then see the car you need to buy like in FM4.

Sure it won’t be day one for me, but i’ll keep on eye on this new feature to see ;).

That’s the one biggest disappointment with the “Sharefront” in FM5 and FH2. You must be in the car to search and I find it tedious, annoying, and a bit silly.

You can view the designs you’ve created or downloaded but you can only view tunes for the car you’re in. If you want to search for a new tune or a new design you must first get in the car and that’s super annoying. Why can’t we search for files to download based on any other criteria - for example: in FM4 and past games I could search for “Red bull” and find any paints with the keyword, description, or file name containing “red bull”. Then I could proceed to download all the ones I wanted from that menu. In the new system, I’d have to get in a car, do a search, see if there is anything there, download it, back out several menus, go to the next car and repeat the process. I for one enjoy playing the game, and not wasting my time going through tedious menus for lack of planning and foresight.

Sorting options across the board have been lacking in the newer games, menus have become more difficult, and it seems that no one at Turn10 thinks about this. I guess we have to wait a couple more days to find out but I’m not holding my breath. Expect to see more of the same from the latest Xbox One titles but hey, there’s rain and night racing…

Gifting is gone. I have made my thoughts clear on the matter and emailed the Forza feedback address as well.
It is the one change from recent games that I am truly unhappy about.

Forza Motorsport 4’s Storefront design is gone and we haven’t heard anything about buying paints in Forza Motorsport 6 (only selling).
Hopefully we can sort by “most downloaded”, “highest rated” or “most popular” when search results come up. I can deal with the system from Forza Horizon 2 if that additional feature is present.

Auction House is gone. There was a discussion about it but that got out of hand recently and the thread was locked as a result.

If you’re truly not happy about certain features being in or out of the game, send an email to forzafb@microsoft.com.
That way it’s logged in their ticketing system and although you may not get a reponse, it’s the most direct way to make your voice heard.

Really happy to see so many people upset about all of this. The storefront was awesome. Sometimes it took a really long time to make an exact replica for a logo. It was nice to put it up and sell it and have it appreciated. All of that disappeared in FM5.

This is a topic which deserves the recognition of its exemption from the game. It’s a major sore point for A LOT of artist.

I want to tell you that in this thread you will be able to voice your opinions freely, however a mod will be in shortly to block and have you grouped and jumbled in with the wishlist sticky.

On most other boards they wouldn’t. We are having a simple and civil discussion on an issue that we feel is important. There is no name calling going on. No threats. Still the some of the Mods on this particular board seem unnecessarily heavy handed at times. So who knows?

That said, If the current way of rewarding artists were coupled with a decent search feature then your likelihood of having your stuff downloaded steadily over time increases, assuming that your stuff is good enough for people to “like”

I know, some editors don’t like “civil discussions” if the content of the discussion is against their product. Since Fm4 the community and moderation really changed…

I’m completely agree with you. A lot of video games company goes wrong. a great CGI does not made a game, and if only handling subsist, don’t need to buy a new game…

But with this post, even if the game content goes toward a big deception for me, i’m happy to see i’m not the only one to think it.

Perhaps one day T10 will listen to us … I hope.

My guess is it will be the same as FM5, but we get paid every time a design or tune is used, rather than it having to have 120+ uses in a day before the credits start flowing.

Hopefully i’m wrong and the system is far better, i’m not holding my breath though.

Yeah the new system in FM5 and FH2 “that pays for people using your item” is terrible. Unless you’re one of the biggest names and get your item to the front of the search list quickly you won’t see many credits. It’s a system that worked for the best and everyone else simply got caught under the wheels of the bus and forgotten.

Turn 10 strike again.

Its like watching a movie with great CGi but the film sucks as the film makers put everything into the looks not the script/story.
Well guess what, Great CGI does not make a great film

Great GFX in games does not make a great game. Interaction does…
Handling is only part of the interaction which is always great in Forza games.

But you need that something else to keep you hooked.

THIS is where T10 go wrong
.
Everything that has made great interaction in Forza and been deleted/diluted.

I prey that this league system works well…or that’s £81.99 down the drain…

Not too fond of the idea of not having a storefront again.

This is why I couldn’t get into FM5. Damn shame.

This is where you download paints, 2 things to note:

  • Paint searching seems to be limited to whatever car you’re in (as with recent titles).
  • There is now a “Sort” button, which I would presume lets you sort the results by popularity and upload date.

A popularity sort function was sorely needed so I’m glad that’s in there. Now it’s up to us painters to produce quality work that can hit that popularity threshold.
