Do you guys feel demotivated without the auction house?

Just wondering if you guys feel something is missing from a content creator’s point of view. It seems like my motivation to paint is thinning. Opening the game to see I earned only 20K from downloads is weirdly disappointing.

Well the AH I could live without, but the Store Front is sorley missed… This new system implemented in FM5 and FM6 is so cumbersome and frustrating to use.

That’s right, the store front. I wasn’t around after FM2 but I’ve heard it was the ideal setup for painters.

I miss the storefront. I don’t find it as fun to paint that I used to without the storefront and not be able to gift.

I think the community were stronger when we could gift each other design etc. There were collabs, logo cars exchange etc.

The whole team thing were painters and tuners did stuff together seems dead also because of it.

I really hope turn10 brings back the storefront and gifting to Forza 7.

I’m not bothered about the Auction House.

I do greatly miss the Storefront however, and the way that you could search for all of a person’s content across multiple cars.

Agree 100%. This is the feature I miss the most as a content creator. You can miss alot of great paints since you can’t see everything they’ve made. Having to buy/use a different car each time you want to get a new paint is simply annoying. Having everything in one place worked like a charm so why remove it.

Hi , i’m not a Forza Veteran but i have to agree with PJ’s point .
When i played FM4 and i was an absolute beginner in painting , storefronts gave me the opportunity to follow all my favorites painters and to learn a lot about making liveries .
Having said that , thank you guys for giving me constant inspiration and motivation to improve my painting .

Yes the auction house is very weird. I made an experiment. I had a car with approximatevely 50 downloads but nothing for something like 2 weeks. I stopped the sharing and reenabled it. and I got directly downloads again but with a count starting again at 0.

I’m not really bothered with the number of downloads but the system is just weird. I miss also the storefront. I’ve started to paint only in FM6 but I was using a lot the storefront in FM3 & 4 to follow my favorites painters. If I was sseing a paint I like, I was buying a car. Now I need to buy a car and then search a paint…and it’s painfull to browse.

I miss the Auctions. I also miss the Storefront, as it had more of a COMMUNITY compared to the mess of the sharefront we have now. Being able to browse all designs, tunes, all images, all logos , replays in one place for any given player was brilliant. People could find the design first, then save to buy the car to put it on. Was more motivating for the painter and the buyer.

Auctions were a great place to sell off numbered limited release designs, I even bought a few too!

I mainly hop in to collect download cash and forza reward cash that I no longer need to use to buy anything. Then log out until the following week. It’s all a bit stale for me…

I miss everything in forza since forza 3 but agree with you cheesed

Forgive me for asking if there is a known answer from turn10. I’ve been away since Forza 4…

But why did they introduce this new sharefront instead of the old Storefront? I personally can’t see any improvement to it?

My feeling coming back is that it’s all broken. Sure, the game itself when it comes to graphics and driving is a lot better. But all the other stuff. The whole community seems to be gone. The amount of hours spent on this forum back in the days. Having fun, sharing stuff and talked to awesome people seems gone completely. So many great painters and other people seems to be discarded by turn10 with this new system.

The old system were a big deal for me why I choose Forza instead of Gran Turismo. Just because it wasn’t just about driving. There was so much more. Painting, photography and other stuff. All that who made the Forza community to a special place with special people. We all shared a passion.

I really hope turn10 brings back at least the storefront and gifting to Forza 7. I have no doubt that it would increase the amount of Forza users and bring the community back to life. To be honest it feels sad to see what it is today when I know how good it once was and COULD BE again.

I really hope turn10 sees this thread and listens to us the consumers. We are a large part of why they got their job…

Personally I doubt that I will buy Forza 7 if it’s the same as it is now.

The removed the storefront to deter people from wanting to steal what others made. People get the content they want for free while the content makers get money from it. Yes it’s not a perfect system but it is better then having your designs stolen. The ability to filter from car to car regardless of the one you are currently in is really handy but that’s FM5 and 6 for you, 1 step forwards 5 steps back. Either way it will be missed and it won’t come back. I really want to see sharing brought back but again I don’t see that happening either

I suspect the massive hacking and cracking people did back then led t10 to pull the store front and auction house. It’s a shame really. I hope they revisit the store front option even if everything is shared for free.

To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. The only reason I got the XBOX one is for Forza 5 and 6… to me the best features of the Forza games was the store front, Auction house and clubs… when I got Forza 5 I see that those are all gone and now I’m learning that they aren’t in 6 either. I definitely will NOT buy Forza 6 and I’m about to trade my xbox one for a PS4… for me the Forza games are ruined.

Good luck with that! lol

I miss everything from FM1-FM4. Maybe some of it will return one day and maybe it wont. We just have to make do with what we have for now.

I’m hoping that’s the case, in the meantime I am gonna drive Forza 4 until the wheels fall off (until they shut down the servers)

Matey, I’m truly shocked if you’re only pulling in 20k a day :frowning:

I’m pulling 100,000 CR a day on average with only 8 or 9 designs. The big factor though is that all of them are Turn 10 Selects and 2 of them are on cars that are recommended to every new Forza Motorsport 6 player (Honda S2000 and Subaru BRZ).

If your design isn’t a Turn 10 select, you get next to nothing.

If your design isn’t on a popular car, you get next to nothing.

I vary from around 15k-100k when I get on each day. Thats between maybe 100-120 tunes and easily that many paintjobs. What really makes things hard is trying to figure out WHAT people are downloading, liking and using. It takes a good hour to go from car to car to check the numbers on each tune to see if I can tell the difference in the numbers. Seems like maybe they could have something that says which, or shows you which file was picked. That would make it so much easier to figure out what people like of mine without having to take forever to check. At least with paints you don’t have to switch cars. But even there, there is a car for EVERY paint regardless if it’s not shared, which just adds to the clutter. Gotta be a better system all around.

I originally thought uses would be the money maker, nope.
Likes would be the big thing, nope.
Well downloads then right, kinda.

Racing makes money, and I have more than I need.

Getting regular followers helps alot, Turn 10 selects helps a bit, but still, the clunkiness of the system from lack of a Storefront as it used to be really kills it all.

The Auction House was a diversion for me, and wasn’t the big money maker then, but compared to now, it would be a major increase.

50 to 100k when I log in is mostly from downloads, likes are few and far between, guess people simply can’t be bothered or are downloading more than one design per car perhaps. Uses in volume are pretty good, which makes me wonder on the likes, but the really low payscale on uses kinda kills it.

I have seen the thing with reissuing a design, new again as it were, and seeing it jump quickly, very odd. And an outlier, my Christmas design is crazy strong(?)
