Was wondering what the ambient temps are in game, taking some tire pressure fine tuning the the extreme. The rest of my car feels fine while in a drift for my playstyle, just want to have a very well tuned setup for my Formula D S13 (as in, built to competitive FD legal specs. You, know, powered by a 7.0L V8 with tons of power attached to NASCAR 4 speed gear setup and tires sized to its weight range)
I haven’t checked, does your tyre temperature at rest vary with profile, width, pressure, weather, time of day and the surface you are parked on?
If not, there’s your answer.
If so, all I can say is “daaaaaaaaamn”.
I don’t think ambient temp. changes from region to region, if that’s what you mean. Grip seems consistent accross the map.
I’m very curious now - do tires heat up and grip better like the FM games, since Horizon now has drafting too? I’m wondering.
I understand why you ask this. I’ve noticed sometimes when I’m drag tuning, most times I can catch the car on the clutch and get little to no wheelspin off the line and sometimes it feels like I can’t get off the line without drastic wheelspin. Maybe there’s more to the game mechanics than we thought.
