Does the game actually take track temp into account

So I’m wondering if the game takes track temp into account for tire grip and engine temps for he and the like. Does anyone know, or is it just window dressing.

I believe it does. My cars definately feel grippier on tracks in warmer climates.

I know it takes Tire temp into consideration so I would think that it also takes into consideration the road temp. If only the races were longer or there was some option to have warmer tires at the start of a race because there’s no point in racing two laps and seeing your tires heat up just to cross the finish line. It forces people to tune for cold tires…

This is why I’ve barely touched career mode. Two to three laps isn’t a race, it’s a demo run, and trying to get from 14th to the podium in such a short time forces you to race in a manner I don’t find as enjoyable. Instead I’ve been burying time into private multi-player lobbies, recently doing 75km (~15 laps at most tracks) races against 15 AI with everyone driving the Mazda USF2000. I love that car, and the tyre wear actually comes into play as well when you pump the distance up. Not to the extent that you’ll need to pit, but wearing out your tyres will make you slower by the end. Now all I need is a way to get rid of that stupid ‘Weak Network Connection’ message that pops up, since it doesn’t tell me anything I need to know or that I can do anything about.

Not at home at the moment to check, but just a thought… when you start a race, what does the tire temps say before you move? Does it differ from track to track, and does it match the temperature given for the environment?

From what I recall from memory, the start temperature is always 130 F. On colder track, the temperature should rise slower but I have not verified this in FM5.
