This topic is for the developers of the Forza 7 game that is about to come out.
I for one have no ill feelings towards your video game. I am completely happy with all the work you guys are putting in. I will happy pay as much as you want for the game as I see it as a new experience in the Forza world!!!
Thank you! Is in order for all the people behind the game from the janitors that help keep Turn 10 studios clean all the way up to Alan Hartman! (Thanks for the correction)
I am doing this topic because I look in here at the forums and see so much negative words being hurled at Turn 10 and Forza and it’s just not needed. The game has not even come out and even when it does it’s not like that can’t patch things to make them better or offer DLC content.
I see Forza 7 as a completely new experience. For me to find new friends in a game and discover new things that I love to do within this community.
I understand it takes a lot to make Forza 7 a reality. So for me I go into this ready to pay to play for this game so that all the people that work on this game can go home and live a life outside of work.
Whatever I can give not only to the people behind this game. The community we have here is nothing compared to what I get back from the enjoyment of being able to say I am part of something that is bigger than me.
If you reply in this topic PLEASE !!! Be positive !!!
Good post, let me be the first one to respond then!
Every time you play a Forza game, from the get go, you will see polish all over and an acute attention to detail. This is something I haven’t quite come across in most racing title I’ve played to date.
It is clear that Dan and his team are extremely passionate about cars and racing, however, they are also a studio that is not working independently. It is for this reason that the game often cannot cater to what everybody wants.
That being said, I am super-ultra-excited to play FM7 and just counting down the hours and days to my Standard Edition release. I think I will as usual, shut the world out for at least a few days and weeks like I always do when a new Forza Motorsport title rolls out. Forza is the very reason I embraced Xbox and to this day, the X360 days + Forza have been some of my fondest, most memorable gaming years. So huge thank you to T10 for that.
T10 is also a team that pays close attention to fine details so I’m sure they will also address some of the car sound mixing issues that have been highlighted recently. That is literally the ONLY thing that concerns me pre-launch. Other than that, motor on guys!
I’m positive this game will be good. I’m positive that even though there are some decisions folks question? We are getting a AAA game that will deliver more than enough enjoyment. I was negative about FM5… I regret being that way towards that particular release. There were times since, I was unfair and criticized things I PERSONALLY didn’t like. I always suppress the fact… I’m one of many different people who play this series. Forza Motorsport 7 will be a good game and I can’t wait till Friday! Thank you to Turn 10 and all associated contributors. Sometimes as fans it’s hard to take an objective look at things. Don’t take it as negative but as a passion that sometimes is too harsh. Games are not easy to develop and every time you deliver world class results. I am appreciative even if I’m a jerk.
I enjoyed the demo very much, I will enjoy the full retail release as well.
FINALLY! The FM7 forum desperately needed a positive topic.
It looks like people are trying to find every possible reason to hate Forza Motorsport 7, even the most absurd ones (there is even a topic just to complain about the cover car). And I don’t understand why everyone must do that.
Anyway, here in italy there is this saying, “chi disprezza compra”, which translates to “he who hates will buy”. I think that saying is definitely appropriate in this case.
The thing is everyone has an ideal vision of Forza and the hardcore like to hold on to what made Forza so good and so alot of the critical posts here are by members that have been playing Forza for around a decade and watched the franchise change things around more than some would agree with. If you ever played Forza 3 and then 4 you would know that Forza 4 is widely considered the best Forza to date. Since the highly popular Forza 4 its successors have been removing features with really no explanation. There’s a reason people still play Forza 4 to this day. Each new Motorsport game the community calls out for the very same features that existed in predecessors to come back yet they completely ignore the requests and instead give us stuff no loyal Forza player asked for. Its the hardcore that make the most noise ha.
Now im not hating on Forza 7, I have the ultimate edition ordered but even i who is generally lax about things i am finding myself some what frustrated with Turn10. Now i know they have a vision for Forza 7 and the franchises future and i may or may not agree with it so ill be going into Forza 7 with an open mind as always. They do a lot of things right which has kept me playing but they also make some really infuriatingly odd decisions. It just feels like at times they want to sabotage their own franchise. Anyways colour me excited.
Thank you for the correction. I admit Dan’s name was the only one I heard thought out the convention run this past year. So I kinda just took it upon myself to appoint him head of Turn 10
Thank you guys so much for ALL the positive stuff! I really enjoy reading all of them! I though maybe it was just me but now I feel better knowing that I’m not the only one !!!
I may gripe about the Day One Car pack but I am still super excited for this game. In my old age, at the ripe old age of 32, I have become a very cheap gamer. I do not preorder games. I do not buy games that are not on sale.
Forza 7 is the only game that I am willing to make an exception for. I can’t wait to drive all of the new tracks that I have not driven before. The last Forza game I played was Forza 4, which was definitely one of the best games I have ever played. Some of the things in FM7 remind me of FM4, so who knows, perhaps FM7 will be renowned as the greatest Forza game of all time?
Years ago I had FM1 for the original Xbox. Fast forward to 2014 and my wife suggested I buy myself the Xbox 360 to reward myself for going through the home buying process and organizing and moving everything. One of the first games I bought was FM3. I loved that to death and almost immediately bought FM4. I ended buying all the games on 360 and playing them to death. Soon after I bought the XB1 and played the XB1 generation games even more heavily. This summer I saw FM7 at E3 and picked up the Amazon Ultimate edition right away. Recently I picked up a wheel and cannot wait not only for FM7 but for all the games coming out. I found the last copy of F1 2016 new at Target the week 2017 came out and love that also. Bring on FM7 and hopefully my wife won’t get too mad at me for spending most my weekend playing it.
Thank you for starting this thread; I am so tired of the Forza Bashing that’s been going on here. And I will add a “Thank you” to the moderators for trying to keep some of these whiners under control.
OK, I can admit it… I am a Forza Fan. I might even go as far as to say (dare I say it?) I’m a ForzaTard!
There, I said it… Although, I hope the bashers and whiners don’t go away. I mean, I do get a chuckle from some of their complaints. (appalled by the paddle shifting animation? Really? I mean… REALLY!?)
Forza is the only game I need every year at launch. I regularly play them until the next game comes out. Forza 7 looks to improve on a great foundation and will without a doubt be my most played game this year, starting in 24 hours with a 12 hour marathon sitting. Forza in supersampled 1080p is why I buy a One X, why I bought a wheel, why I bought an Elite controller. Forza in VR will be when I go all-in on that. I love Forza to death, it has the best physics, the best controls and I love their approach to AI (something where all other racing games fail).
Just ignore the haters, because lets be honest, people will tend to use a forum to complain more often than praise.
Ive played forza since day one, loved the first, second, third, fourth, didnt like the 5th at all, 6th was far better, but at this time i started using a wheel setup alot more than previously, and forza never really gave me the viewpoint and handling physics i desired.
Now, we finally get a good cockpit view to use on a rig, and the physics felt much improved on my tx with the demo, so i find myself extremely excited for Friday, F7 looks to be a massive return to form, cant wait!
The build up hasn’t been great and Turn 10 haven’t helped themselves yet I’m still excited and counting down the hours till the game is released.
FM6 was a great game, it fell short in certain areas though. If FM7 can use it as a base then it will only be a good thing.
I’ve played FM3, FM4 and FM6 from release til the end of the game’s life. I skipped FM5 so I ended up playing 4 all the way up to the release of 6. I fully expect to be playing 7all the way up to the release of FM8. There’s something about Forza games that keeps me coming back and I know many others feel the same, even all the moaners.
So I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running tomorrow
