Are you able to directly sell cars to the autoshow? Or are there still only the options to auction them off or delete them from your garage? Because it’s annoying having 10 duplicate HE cars I can’t get rid of because no one buys them.
This is a good question as the problem is indeed very annoying however I doubt that anyone on the forum is in a position to comment anything other than “wait and see” or “I hope so”.
In the mean time: I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
You mean the fake economy, if I have 10 duplicate Horizon cars, I should be able to sell them for at least 25% of their normal value, how is it my fault that no one wants to buy them? It wasn’t a problem to have them sold before. 10% fake tax on your fake car in the auction house lol.
Yes, the economy in the game is not a real one but not providing credits in exchange for cars that weren’t purchased with credits helps contribute to slowing down the rate of inflation. If you didn’t pay for those cars in the first place, you lose nothing by removing them from your garage and moving on to other things. Yes, it would be nice to have more credits but as time goes on and the amount of credits in the system continues to grow exponentially their worth decreases and we end up with runaway inflation that unfairly boxes out newer players coming into the game.
Doesn’t explain normal cars that I DID purchase. There would be no harm in me at least being able to sell the cars for 20% of their value, as opposed to trying to auction them off on a dead marketplace. I have 200,000,000Cr in cars in my garage, and I fear I wont be able to get a single cent for any of them.
does it matter
if you have that amount of credits why would you need any more
what do you do once you have nothing else left to buy and spend those useless credits on
just delete and move on , just sounds like greed on something that becomes pointless
cant believe you call this a major concern lol
after a few months credits will be worthless/pointless to you anyway
It does matter, a lot. I bought a car with credits, but I cannot then sell that car for credits? If it’s a car that I earned from a wheelspin/dlc or an event, then mark it so that I can only auction it off! There’s no proper reason as to why I cannot sell my cars (might I remind everyone that if you win a duplicate car in a wheelspin, you have the option to sell it right there, but that is the ONLY way.)
So it’s just imaginary money greed then
You have so much credits already with nothing to spend them on but you want more…why ???
Just delete then and move on
200 million and nothing to use it on
How pointless
Special event (like the RAM HE in Blizzard Mountain)
Cars earned through wheelspins can already be sold upon receiving the prize (usually for a pretty low price considering their rarity). Forzathons now earn you currency rather than cars. Special events usually award you cars you don’t have.
So, I have no idea why it’s not possible to sell cars to the game, considering the cars we’d probably end up selling are those we’d lose money on with the sale anyway. Selling cars to the game has definitely not made me any richer in FM7, as the cars won via level ups are sold for a meager 100 CR.
The market lacks in money but is saturated with cars. This would usually bring the costs down, but the cartel in FH3 buys all the rare cars for cheap in order to flip them for 20 million, a price few can pay considering races in FH3 don’t pay as much money as people think. You have to cheese your way into Legend to become part of the club.
And it’s false to say you don’t lose money on cars won rather than bought. If you don’t have the free mechanic perk active, you have to upgrade the car with money. If it’s a car you had some use for, but you don’t need anymore, that’s money lost. All the cars I won in FH3 before unlocking the perk, I lost money on. 944 Turbo was one of the first ones, then I can only sell it for less than 20,000 and see a guy flipping it for a thousand times that value.
The AH just doesn’t work as intended in neither FH3 nor FM7. I hope Playground has taken notice of this instead of washing their hands like they did with the atrocious economy of FH3.
I agree with all of this. The auction houses in FH3 and FM7 are a mess due to the broken buyout limit system. At least in FM7 they’ve unlocked (nearly) all the cars now so we don’t have to fight through the auction house nonsense to get them, and can easily sell cars we don’t need. In FH4 it sounds like all rare cars will be available through wheelspins in addition to the Forzathons, so hopefully that will prevent a cartel from being able to completely monopolize certain cars like they did in FH3.
You lose the reward, actually. Whether it was from a Wheelspin, Forzathon, etc. - the car was generally supposed to be a reward. If it is rendered worthless, then there was no reward. So you’re essentially making parts of the game unrewarding in order to not actually prevent the economy from spiralling out of control.
As per my opinion; credit reward should start very low at 1000 credits per race or lower and build up to the usual figures as you play through. This would force the players to use lower PI cars more often. But that is going off on a tangent anyway.
The player should be able to chose which cars they own and if a car is labeled as rare (alike Forza edition cars) then selling them should not be a problem. It is stupid that the game labeles these Forza edition cars as super rare when they’re actually very common and often undesirable.
