Forza Hub also now offers 200,000 in rewards instead of the usual 300,000. In fact, in my latest rewards, I just got 75,000!
Anyhoo, wheel spins yield very little cash and the disconnect between FM6 and H3 earnings is quite glaring. How much do I got to drive/race before I can own an FXX-K or Centenario? lol
A slight adjustment to the earnings/rewards system would be nice.
I’ve enjoyed the adjustment to less instead of the couple million credit wheel spins.
I don’t buy cars much as I’m winning so many. I use the reusable perk for free upgrades a bunch (this is where I would spend most of credits - upgrading all those free cars)
I’m somewhere around 20mil and 100 or so vehicles runnier to various classes. It’s doable, makes you think before just buying multi million credit cars- and appreciate the ones you do have.
I can certainly understand and agree with you. (Probably would have gotten the Shelby if they were more free flowing) I am just saying that it’s a pleasant change after FM6 where i was in the multi hundred millions to have to “earn” and pick an choose based on amount of credits. I certainly made enough to purchase any of the high priced cars. If I wanted (I think my earning are 35mil). So it’s not like I’m hurting. Just trying to make a section on 250gto, Shelby or Alfa 33…
Its much better in FH3 than in FM6, over in FM6 the entire economy was a big joke.
Even in FH3 cars and credits still come by extremely easy, you get cars thrown at you by the dozens thanks to loyalty cars, VIP cars, DLC cars, wheelspins, barn finds and midnight races.
If you think money for cars is hard to come by in FH3 I guess you never played much GT5 or GT6. There you had to grind a bit with your first car before you even had enough credits to buy your second car. And those cars were small hatchbacks.
I understand not everyone has the same amount of time to sink into this game but the way it’s done in FH3 is probably a good way to find a balance between both parties. I would personally even remove wheelspins all together and make it even harder.
Also don’t just look at the “expensive” hyper cars as if they are the final goal to achieve in the game. The most fun cars for me are by far not the hyper cars but instead the middle range cars like super hot hatch, buggies, modern rally, Asian sports cars and the likes.
There’s the choice really; you can either have credits that mean something, or you can have easy access to all cars in the game. You can’t have both.
I think the balance of credits does work though, I can’t splash out on everything but I certainly don’t feel like I’m being locked away from content or swayed towards microtransactions. Forza Motorsport 6 and Forza Horizon 2 just spoiled us honestly.
I am liking how few CR we get now in comparison to Forza Motorsport 6.
Last week I was looking to buy the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (10,000,000 CR), and I had to save up for a few days to get it, eventually grabbing one for 9,000,000 CR in the Auction House. It felt nice to look forward to getting a car and eventually “earning it”; the car now has a sentimental value compared to Forza Motorsport 6 where everything is pretty much “free” to a regular player.
There are still a few exploits and “farming methods” that people can use if they need CR in a hurry, but from natural play I am happy with the amount of CR that comes my way. Hopefully this trend continues with further titles.
This is also very important. An extreme example with the Alfa there but even cars like my 3mil Ferrari 280GTO or 2mil McLaren F1 feel much more special knowing that I spent valuable credits on a car that means something to me, where many players would steer their credits away to cars they prefer instead. These cars really feel like my cars as a result, my choice, and not a light choice that anyone would make on a whim.
How are you guys getting good wheel spins? Are they literally random for every user? Out of the near-100 I’ve had so far, I’ve only gotten 50k or 100k half a dozen times and just won 5 or 6 cars! I think my wheel spin is rigged! lol
I actually like it harder to earn credits! I felt that it was too easy to own all the cars in FM6, so I think the FH3 way is better! And to touch on what Breyzipp said, GT5 and GT6 (which I played before trading in my PS3 to help buy my XB1) were quite stingy with their credits, though believe it or not I wish Forza were just as stingy (or at least make “stingy mode” an option) as GT5/GT6. Maybe you could call me a glutton for punishment, though I don’t consider it punishment when it’s such a fun game!
As many people have stated I think this method is better. In FH2 I had 90M credits with nothing to spend it on. Here I wanted to buy a veyron on auction but people were paying more than the autoshow price l0l, ended up using the perk and buying it for 2M. Just bought a Lykan Hypersport as well with 13M to spare on a classic racer, feels good buying an expensive car
Yeah, that’s something I don’t get too. Who spents more than the showroom price? So often I’m overbid to more than the autoshow’s price tag that I wonder why I spend time with the AH at all.
The idea of saving money is destroyed by the time you invest looking and bidding and getting your cash back. In the same time I could do another round of Goliath or two and get several times the money I was trying to save.
Indeed, yesterday I payed 80,000 on the AH for an S1 drift tuned Toyota GT Apex with drift livery, I wanted it because of the upcoming Forzathon and as soon as I have that S14 I will throw it back on the AH (1 hour) so other people can benefit from it as well. Also remember that upgrades don’t come for free either, a stock Trueno costs 25k I think but to bring it up to S1 most likely costs more than the car price itself.
Id just use the upgrade perk to get a free checkout lol, however if you wanted someones tune I guess buying would be helpful, i tend to build myself however lol
Payouts are fine. Actually I think they are still pretty easy to get with all the wheelspin stuff but I get why that’s there. They don’t want it to be too much of a grind since this is a casual game.
I’m a few levels shy of 150 and have spent well over a million in upgrades and probably another million in cars. I have over 80 cars (most from wheelspins) and a little over 6 million in the bank. Not bad for around 50 hours of gameplay.
In a week or two I’ll have more than I need after I sell off cars I don’t need and finish single player.
You cannot sell garage cars to the autoshow, only on the AH. I would suggest to keep all wheelspins cars in your garage so that once you start getting doubles at least you can sell them immediately at the wheel spin for half the cash they are worth (and no AH hassle needed). If you want to separate your favourite cars from the hordes of wheelspin cars in your garage then use the favourites system.
Having terrible wheel spin luck here - hardly ever win cars even though it tells me ‘you could win this…’, or ‘x days ago your friend won this’… but I never do! The credits earnings are also very small, usually ranging between 2000 and a maximum of 20000. Suggestions? Or is the wheel spin just random for everybody?
