after all these years of fun with previous games they missed the mark big time with this one , this must be the reason why its not called Forza 8 .
Can we please get all the previous developers back and start making Forza 8 with all content from all the other games .

The worst part about how poorly this game is doing is im worried about them just abandoning this project and killing off the series. Unless they do a no mans sky style turnaround this game is unlikely to ever see these numbers increase at this point. And i dont think were ever going to see another motorsport after this.

But honestly, maybe thats a good thing. Itll make a space in the market for someone who cares and is actually capable to come in and take over. Maybe we will see nfs shift 3, or project cars 4. Both are dead titles due to mismanagement and lack of demand

My guess is it’s pretty low. GT7 has about 2 million active players, but that game is stable, and Playstations are more common globally so it’s a bigger market.

So 41,000 people have registered a time on the McLaren Senna rivals challenge. That’s sad.

Considering the game is free for those with GamePass, even if there are 50,000 active players, I’m not sure how they are making any money. 10,000 players at $100 USD is a million dollars.

Five or six great software developers earn more than 1 million dollars in a year. I wonder how or if T10 is even making money on this game.

Microsoft’s Xbox Gamepass, heavily funded, concentrates on a few AAA games like Forza Horizon, Motorsport, and the upcoming Fable, all using the Forza tech engine. This strategy suggests they may tolerate lower quality in one title if the others succeed.

Lack of demand because of mismanagement.
There’s no lack of demand for racing games.
There’s a lack of demand for bad racing games.

Gran Turismo is a global blockbuster.
The Forza Horizon series still maintains a good-sized player population.
The Crew 2 & Motorfest are popular.
Need for Speed games pull in lots of players.
The F1 series has lots of players too, & it’s not a super casual open-world playground.

Lots of people want to race, but not many want to play bad racing games.

As the link says: “with the help of Xbox Game Pass.”
It makes sense that lots of people who subscribe to a catalog of games would sample new additions to the catalog when it doesn’t cost them any more to do so.
A more telling number might be what percentage of those subscribers stick with the game, & for how long (maybe collective achievements stats might offer clues).

Can you show me the steam numbers for GT7, to compare them? GT7 fills a gap on the PS5, so Forza is doing on the xbox. PC numbers are irrelevant. It seems like T10 was more or less forced into the PC business by the Phil Spencer strategy. To play on a console with a gamepad, there is nothinger better out there. And exacztley this is by far the majority of players.

11% of players have completed 1 multiplayer race.

Kinda says it all really, people tried and quite quickly put the game down

the fact that nearly all forza or racing game youtubers played it for 2 videos then dropped it for horizon 5 again says alot too, nobody is interested in it
